☀️ Spell For Warmth In Winter ☀️

☀️ Spell for Warmth in Winter ☀️

image

Materials:

Any stone associated with fire (e.g. amber, sunstone, fire opal).

A yellow/gold/orange/red candle.

Anything that YOU associate with fire/warmth.

Instructions:

Take several deep, calming breaths and clear your mind before you begin.

Light the candle and hold your hands close, feeling the warmth of the fire. Imagine the warmth spreading through your fingertips, up your arms, and into the rest of your body.

Take a few moments to bask in the warmth. Feel the cold slipping away.

Hold the stone of your choice (or substitute) over your heart. Keep your breathing slow and even as the warmth envelopes your body, fueled by the stone.

Take as long as you’d like to bask in the warmth. Once you’re ready, blow out the candle.

Keep your stone/object of choice with you on cold winter days to bring you some warmth! ☀️🔥🌟

Feel free to substitute any materials or tweak the process. Do whatever works for you!

☾ Rose Salt ☽

☾ Rose Salt ☽

One of my personal favorite things to make, Rose Salt has a variety of uses. Whether you use it as a scrub in the shower to cleanse yourself and your energies, as a relaxing soak in a warm bath to relax in, or sprinkle it in doorways and on windowsills as a form of protection, it’s multipurpose and very easy to make! What You’ll Need: - Dried Roses - Salt - A Vessel With a Lid to Keep It In - A Mortar & Pestle Optional: - Rose Essential Oil Steps:

Take the petals and buds of your Roses, save the stems and thorns for other spells, and grind them finely with your Mortar & Pestle.

Add Salt.

Mix both well until they are combined well.

Add the mixture into the vessel you chose.

Add the essential oil, seal the vessel, and gently shake to combine everything together more easily.

One of the many properties of Roses is Protection as is with Salt so combining the two gives you a simple, fragrant protective material to keep around your home.

Cosy Home Open Spell Jar

cosy home open spell jar

Ingredients:

(basically whatever things you associate with comfort, homeliness, cosiness etc. Use herbs that are already dried. Also pick thinks that smell nice!) I used:

sage

basil

oregano

lavender

rosemary

lavender essential oil

anise essential oil

rosemary essential oil

salt (pink Himilayan salt would work awesome)

cinnamon stick

a rich coloured ribbon to tie around the top

Method:

start with yourself, your room and your tools already cleansed

add your ingredients to the jar, starting with herbs first and adding your essential oils (~5 drops of each) to this, then mix together

use whole stems of dried herbs for added visual interest in your jar

charge with a piece of selenite, your wand or athame - setting your intent whilst you do this. For instance “my home will be filled with comforting vibes”

finish off the spell by tying a rich or darkly coloured ribbon around the neck of the jar

place on a window sill, above a radiator, or by a doorway and allow the smell to gently imbue your room for a few weeks! To extend it’s ‘shelf-life’, keep it charged with a piece of selenite and add more drops of essential oils as necessary.

(you could change the size of your jar, add stones or pieces of wood, anything you like really!)

I always thought it was a shame to add such delightful smelling ingredients to a jar, and then seal it so that they can’t get out. So, for some spells where it makes sense for the energies of the spell to disperse over time. An open jar is perfect for these types of spells as it leaves the lovely scents and the energies to freely imbue the room over a few weeks.

Rainy’s Visualization Job Spell

This is just a simple, easy job spell! Perfect for the day you submit your resume or job application, and adds a boost of luck to your chances. Note: This spell should be done in addition to applying for a certain job

Written by Rainy-Day-Witchcraft, please do not remove source!

Rainy’s Visualization Job Spell

Materials

Green candle

Wealth/Luck Powder (recipe here)

Copy of your application

Step 1: The Set-Up

On a flat surface, fold a copy of your application or resume into a smaller flat square, and place your green candle right in the center, surrounded by a ring of Wealth/Luck Powder. (I found that the skinnier candle I used sat up better when I slightly melted the bottom with a lighter, and stuck it to the paper!) This candle can be carved with any matter of sigils, runes, words or chants to add some power and intent to your spell. Your application/resume can also include these: I personally chose to add some luck, success, and “getting hired” sigils to the paper.

When this is done, carry the paper & candle over to the area you will be performing your visualization at; I chose to do it while sitting on my bed, as I perform most of my meditation there! The candle should preferably be at eye-level to prevent slouching or back pain, but this is not necessary.

Step 2: Visualization

Begin readying yourself by approaching a meditative state. Control your breathing, sit with half of your back-end elevated (to prevent back pain) and focus on clearing your mind. When you’ve reached your calm and cleared state (whenever this might be for you) light the candle, and begin your visualization. Visualize yourself getting a call from the employer, acing your interview, working at the business, etc! Visualize what you hope for yourself, how to get there, and what steps you’ll take to make it happen.  (Tip: While visualizing, you may close your eyes or stare into the candle flame, whichever is easier for you)

When you have finished visualizing these things, sprinkle some wealth/luck powder into the flame and candle wax. At this time, you may choose to say a few words, or perhaps a more elaborate chant. When this is done, go ahead and let your candle burn out and melt onto the paper. You may also press a sigil or symbol into the melted wax when the candle has snuffed out, or sprinkle your remaining powder into it

Step 3: Taking Measures

Of course, as with any spell, it does take some non-magickal work on your part! Here are a few common tips on applying and interviewing for jobs:

Do your best to submit a professional, clean, and completed resume or application. Make sure the paper isn’t wrinkled, that your handwriting is neat and legible, and sometimes it can even increase your chances of being hired if you submit a cover letter!

Wear nice clothes, regardless of the job you are applying for. Make sure not to show too much skin, or dress in anything that would not be appropriate for the workplace. Although extremely sexist on the part of the american work system, this tip is more for the ladies ~

Speak clearly and at a good volume; hold eye contact, smile, and (if time allows) ask some questions about the company, or share what knowledge you already have on it.

And good luck! Even if you are not hired for the job, just keep on trying; If you are especially hard on cash, try looking at jobs you wouldn’t normally consider

Let me know if you have any questions or comments about the spell. Thank you, and have a wonderful day!

~Rainy

The huckleberry is from the nightshade type of huckleberry. Do not know if that changes things. I have two pecan saplings so I took a leaf from both. Rose, I only took leaves, do not have many flowers so I didn't want to take them. A note toward ingredients. I mixed and matched and found ones I had access to. Please be open to changing up and making your own.

Invisibility Glamour

image

Whether you’re wanting to escape unnecessary conversations or you have become quite the commodity lately, this glamour will take the edge of all the attention you’re receiving and allow you to fade a little bit into the background for a while. Note: This glamour is not for literal visibility, but to receive decreased attention from others and be noticed less.

You will need:

A small bowl of water

A clear quartz crystal or clear piece of glass. (The clearest, least fractured crystal or piece of glass is ideal. The spell is most effective with an ultra clear crystal ball).

Place your bowl of water containing your crystal or glass in a dark and undisturbed space (like a closet or cabinet) for a full day. After 24 hours, remove your bowl and soak your hands in water. Periodically remove your hands, and massage the water onto your face and body, envisioning a dim light emanating from your skin.

Your skin now holds a dim light, and your energy is quieted. This glamour will last for about a day. Repeat the spell or leave the water in darkness for a longer period time as necessary.

im a baby witch, and after performing my first spell ever today i was immediately exhausted and slept for 4 hours, despite getting at least 8 hours of sleep last night...what could the reasoning for this be?

(I started answering this but had to draft it because I ran out of spoons; someone else answered this really well but I cant remember who, and I’m not wasting a list I put this much energy into already, so fuck it all.)

This probably happened because you used up too much energy in the spell, leaving very little in your body to get you through the rest of your day.

This is a common occurrence for those new to magic and energy work - being unaware of your own limits, you put out too much and leave very little for yourself. It happens, I’ve heard about it a lot, but is definitely not very good for you if it keeps happening. Like, it is common, but definitely not meant to happen, and not very good for you energetically and physically. Over time you will learn your limits better, by experimenting and practicing (the more energy work you do, the easier it gets, trust me), and your capacity for manipulating, holding, and sending out energy will expand.

In the meantime, take it easy on spellwork for a few days. Make sure to eat regularly, drink plenty of water, and get as much rest as you need. Do what you can to avoid that feeling too many times in a row - you could burn yourself out.

I also recommend practicing grounding, and learning how to draw energy from other sources through yourself and into spells, or just directly into the spells instead, to prevent energy drainage again.

My favorite simple wards to guard the home

Hanging rosemary above the doorstep, and/or above doors of the house for protection.

Sprinkling a line of dried red pepper on a windowsill, to counter a curse.

Placing a mix of dried & ground eggshells and black pepper in every corner of a room to keep out unwanted spirits.

Placing a decoration representing a witch in the kitchen, to keep away illness and to favor health.

Crafting an effigie (no matter how crude!) and make it into the guardian of your home by charging it with your intent of protection and placing it near the front door.

Crafting small witch ladders to hang around the house.
