Hell yeah' more shitpost drawing studies'
I mostly to these scribbles/notes for myself, but sharing is caring and my brain simple won't acknowledge and comprehend how light works.
It's actually so simple doing shadows ( in theory ), still' i wanna rip and tear at my hair whenever i actaully have draw dynamic ones.
Hi! I recently saw your tutorial on drawing/designing PoC characters, do you have any tips on drawing monolids? Especially stylized monolids?
Here are a couple of links to really great tutorials:

Here are some of my own observations about monolids and double eyelids. All in all, there’s very subtle differences between the different eyes. It is the combination of all different features that makes someone look a certain way.

So my friend Night expressed a general desire for help with profiles, and I figured I’d go ahead and whip this up! I’m no anatomy master or anything, but this is stuff that helps me quite a bit, so I figured I’d share… even if I have no idea how helpful it actually is. Writing tutorials is hard! Ah well, I hope it can be of some use.
How do you make noses? I think they look really cool but I can't ever draw them like that, the spacing just gets wayyyy off
THAT IS AN EXCELLENT QUESTION AND I REALLY HOPE I CAN ANSWER IT CUZ I LOVE DRAWING NOSES
HERE WE GO BOIS
[MIGHT HAVE TO CLICK FOR BETTER RESOLUTION SO UH]
OBVIOUSLY, noses vary based on race and age, so it’d probably be a good idea to get some references, but every nose has the same basic form.
So remember: SHADOWS, BROWBONE, TOP LIP, AND NO KILLER KNIFE-NOSES.
and of course
MAKE IT PRETTY!!!
I hope this helps!!! :D
When it comes to textured hair there’s many styles, here some I’ve seen at powwows. Braided locs have to be my favorite style so far 💖
Reminder braids are not a universal hairstyle between tribes! I’m coming from the perspective of Great Plains tribes. I just thought I might share what braided hair means to my community and people. I see people trying to make ocs or redesigns of characters who are native but don’t actually represent us too good. Reminder to always research a tribe before making a character learn their protocols and at least try to learn something new! 🌸💖🍇
I just wanna say I love our hair! It means so much to us please take care of it🥺💖
hii i saw some tutorials floating around on avoiding same face so i wanted to share how i do it! heres something quick :’D

I don’t really think I’m that good at anatomy (or females) but this is quite a popular request so… I’m making a tutorial, and this is the part to show you what NOT to do with your fellow humans. More coming… eventually.
I suck at breast variations, but I try; see this page for awesome references: x
How do you draw unkempt hair in a more simple style? I have a character who the most he does is probably brush his fingers through it but I can't draw him not looking like he has nicely styled wavy locks.
Using a variety of hair textures and abstract hair shapes can help create the messy effect you want;
Here’s an example for hair textures, The left is a full head of curly hair; on the right I made some generals shapes on the base to guide where the textures would change, this could be as smile and complex as you want!
If your character reference doesn’t allow for different hair textures, you can always try building abstract or conflicting shapes out of the hair itself. Long hair which is messy generally has lots of fly-aways you can shape, as well as crude edges or bunching together at random. Short hair is more diverse in my opinion, it depends on the texture and the cut, but I would try to group part of the hair together at random, and direct the shapes to give a sense of asymmetry to the silhouette. The simpler your style needs to be, the fewer general the shapes you may want to build into the body of the hair.
I hope this gives you some fun ideas!

Hi! Made an incredibly quick and easy to comprehend guide because you freaks need it tbh. Image quality kinda sucks but whatever, you get it. Stop putting yellowface on my dash.
