Xingqiu’s 2024 birthday art is on my mind again, and how it (basically) confirmed that Xingqiu and her family own a cat, XINGQIU IS A CAT OWNER!!

(I haven’t seen anybody mention this fact anywhere, it might be because it feels more obvious to me from my perspective, but also I could just be missing them so who knows-)

Like besides very basic and obvious observations, to me in particular when she says: “𝐡𝐞𝐲, 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐤𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐲, 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐨 𝐧𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐲!” it feels like she’s very familiar with it, and its behaviour - LIKE THAT‘S HER BABY!!!!!

That quote is all we really have when it comes to little details about this cat, and its relations to the Feiyun family. All we know is that it seems to be very playful, and likes to get into “trouble” (sounds very similar to a certain someone…)

AND BECAUSE OF THAT, I can give this little baby some more depth!!

Okay so since this is just a cat, there’s not much I have to do when comes to adding additions :)

And so rn what I have with hcs is: (first off w/ very basic stuff)

She’s female, she’s a little lady :3

Her name is ‘Hupo’ (琥珀 - hǔpò, “Amber” in Chinese), which her full name would be; Feiyun Hupo. (tysm to @kinun for suggesting/helping w/ the name^^)

She’s very playful and loves to cause mischief, but only really in front of the family or so - in front of strangers or just anyone not super close to her, her behaviour becomes very closed off, and comes off kind of a bit rude.

She’s maybe 3-4 years old?

Has an adorable frilly custom collar, matching the same of the Feiyun family style (very similar to Xingqiu’s aesthetic specifically.)

Okay now for more detailed stuff:

She’s a little princess, and is absolutely spoiled by Xingqiu, Xingqiu adores her (same with Hupo to Xingqiu). And even tho technically Hupo is the family pet, she’s basically Xingqiu’s cat.

Hupo was a street-cat and Xingqiu found her when she was a kitten. Xingqiu’s doll item mentioning about animal shelters and adopting, definitely tells us Xingqiu cares a lot about adopting animals; (to me)

So I definitely think Hupo was either adopted from a shelter or was found on the streets. I’m kind of leaning towards that she found her on the streets, looking a little worse for wear compare to the other cats walking around.

She was just a tiny little kitten all by herself, and Xingqiu found her while she was out-and-about (maybe during one of the times she snuck out, and was trying to hide more from Xu looking for her or something idk)

Okay as for this part, I haven’t fully fleshed out a lot of details as of this current moment, but after Xingqiu found her, she took her to professionals to help her and her condition - Hupo was too scared to go near anyone, except Xingqiu. And then sometime after that, Xingqiu decides to take her home, and even though her family is extremely strict - she was allowed to keep her in their house only because Xingqiu’s mother (Valerie) used to have a cat when she was very young, back when she lived in Fontaine, and thought maybe Hupo would take a strong liking to her, she misses that cat a lot.

That idea very quickly backfired. Hupo doesn’t like Valerie AT ALL-

And that’s pretty much all of the ideas and hcs I have as of rn :3

I can’t tell if I’m tripping or not but I SWEAR it was stated ingame or in some official form that Chongyun canonically likes to draw???? is my brain making that up, or did that actually get officially stated???????? HELP-?????????

If I’m living a false life and Genshin is unbased, then fuck it. I’m making that a new headcanon; Chongyun is an artist of average skill, and makes little doodles on occasion if he has the time.

But the doodles in question are always of Xingqiu, because whenever he’s at home and she’s on his mind, he find himself drawing her in a notebook… His head gets cloudy when he thinks about her beauty.

I’m going fucking mental… XINGQIU, GIRL, WHAT THE FUCK?????????????

ARE YOU ACTUALLY FUCKING KIDDING ME WITH THIS SHIT??????????

Okay so you’re telling me, Xingqiu would run away to Chongyun’s house and stay there for 10 DAYS to 2 WEEKS (specifically), if her brother had said JUST THAT???????? THAT’S IT???? THAT’S ALL IT TAKES FOR HER TO STAY AT CHONGYUN’S PLACE FOR TWO FULL WEEKS????????? WHAT………

And also the way she mentions it so casually and without hesitation, it’s her first thought?? Implying that this isn’t the first time, and that she does it consistently enough for it to be her first thought and for it to be this casual…

And she would do ALL that JUST because her brother would say something like; “Support the business, make money, get rich.”??? ARE YOU SERIOUS.

LITERALLY SAYING IF HER FAMILY ANNOYS HER OR SHE’S TIRED OF THEM IN ANYWAY, EVEN JUST A TINY BIT, SHE’S KNOCKING ON CHONGYUN’S DOOR AND STAYING THERE FOR TWO FULL WEEKS……

First off; just Chongyun’s face and how he looks at Xingqiu the entire time she’s explaining the circumstances with her great-grandfather…….

And him being cautious about whether or not to relay what’s going on..

He’s so concerned and worried for how she’s feeling….. ☹️☹️☹️☹️

I love these type of moments a lot because it reminds you that they REALLY do care about each other a lot, they just love each other so much 🥲🥲 (I say this because sometimes it feels like some people forget that.. /lh)

It just makes me really happy to see, their love means a lot to me <33

And Chongyun saying he’s going with Xingqiu to check up on the room again, I just know it’s actually because he wants to be by Xingqiu’s side and to be there for her, he’s very clearly worryed about her and how she’s doing..

Even if she isn’t close with her great-grandfather, he wants to be there for her…

And I’m just thinking about the idea of them after they say goodbye to the Traveller & Paimon, and as they’re walking to her house; Chongyun sees Xingqiu looking down and appearing all gloomy, he asks again if she really is okay, and she says “Yes.” again, but Chongyun still doesn’t think so…

And he asks if she wants to hold his hand, and she gives a soft but pained smile and excepts it, and when she takes his hand she never lets go after that..

Also I want to talk about how I interpret Xingqiu’s relationship with her great-grandfather with my hcs for her family:

Xingqiu emphasising she’s “never been close with her great-grandfather” and how “he wasn’t speaking much by the time she was born”, implying the non-closeness derives from her just not interacting with him at all pretty much. And I find that very interesting when it comes to interpreting it and compared to her other relationships in the family…

I like to think this non-closeness for her great-grandfather doesn’t come from the same place as like her mother, brother or father (negative), and it is more neutral because compared to the other three; he never gave her a hard time growing up or in present day, because she never really got to interact with him in a proper way.

And because of that neutralness towards him rather than negative feelings, she is feeling a sense of fear for him - even if she isn’t close to him at all, and is trying to assure everyone that she’s okay, even though it’s clear that it is affecting her in someway. Because since it’s not deep rooted in negativity, it’s actually getting to her.

Also I kind of like to think that in the little times she did interact with him, he just lets her do what she wants because he’s old asf and could care less on what she does (even if her family says otherwise) - so she has respect for him on that front.

And this is pretty much everything I have to say rn, of course this is all only going by day 1, but I’m interested to see how this is going to progress :3

Feiyun Xingqiu.

I have so many ideas when it comes to Chongyun & Xingqiu’s relationship with one another, and majority of the time I can’t put ideas into words/write essays.

But one of the big ones I have is:

Chongyun & Xingqiu’s relationship is nothing but strong & unadulterated love and admiration for each other - they care about & love each other so deeply, and see one another as the best thing that has ever happened to them. And that sometimes because they see each other so highly & fondly, they feel like they don’t deserve somebody as amazing as each other (simultaneously), and both of them have no idea the other sees them on such a high pedestal (in both of their different ways).

They both love each other so much, and will wonder if they’re even worthy to have somebody as perfect and amazing as that by their side - without knowing that the other also feels the same way. There is not a single drop of angst, it’s just nothing but pure love.

“Loving someone as amazing as you, makes me feel like I’m not worthy to be yours. You’re just, so perfect… But I will never let that stop me from loving you any less, it just makes me love you even more, knowing you see something in me, that I don’t.” - 🍨/📘

Notes:

Now I just want to make it clear that Chongyun & Xingqiu have great communication between each other, and I have many scenarios related to them talking about this “issue” - I just want to make sure the idea doesn’t get twisted that they have bad communication in their relationship^^

(I’m just specifying this for my brains sake, bc I worry about incorrect interpretations-)

Being a Chongqiu fan makes me feel like i’m the only provider and contributor to the economy a lot of the time, because I see nothing 94% of the time 😞😔

It’s like late asf for me rn, and I just had the most insane ramblings to myself while listening to all of Xingqiu’s (menu) dialogue.

Like absolutely losing my shit over specific pieces of dialogue, with the small bit of connotations and implications, and what they could mean about her and her family, AND her family trouble’s (I love Xingqiu having awful family problems, she doesn’t like any of them <33) - and many other little quirks about her personality (she’s a fucking nerd)

I wish I could write down all of my ideas and hc’s that I have when it comes to the Feiyun family, and Xingqiu’s relationship with all of them… BECAUSE OH DO I HAVE SO MANY IDEAS.
