An intersex mandarin duck (i.e., a female duck with male-like plumage due to hormonal imbalances), an introduced species of small colourful duck originally from East Asia with big orangey "sail fins" on the back, white crescent above the eyes with washed-out streaked orangey cheeks with whisker-like feathers, a blueish crest along the head, purple chest, brownish grey flanks, and a small reddish bill with a whitish tip, swims sideways in a lake with greenish orange water mirroring her image.
