The monotones- The book of love
Bear Ghost- The Mario cliche
Bear Ghost- Peas and Love
Dion and the Belmonts- Teenager in love
These are songs that 110% remind me of Thatch and would definitely be something he'd listen to.
(I also have other songs that remind me of other WB pirates if you guys would like them as well óvò)
(On another note, DO YOU PEEPS KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE WILL WOOD AND BEAR GHOST?!)
This is a fun little fact that I wanted to share with you peeps here because I don't think I ever really did before. Sooo, allow me to go into detail about it now. I think that a lot of people don't understand why I themed Bernice's outfit the way I did. (Granted, I only draw her in the striped and dotted turtleneck, but she does have other long sleeves she wears. I just forget to actually draw them and default to her turtleneck, lol) So, allow me to enlighten you peeps a bit here! Looking at Thatch and Bernice, Obviously there's a lot different about them. Bernice has a Devil fruit, usually dresses fairly warm, tends to keep her hair messier, but withing reason, and has her outfit themed more around a darker purple and black color palette. (With a few splashes of either white or yellow depending on the outfits.) Something I think a lot of people fail to realize is just how cold it would get sailing all the time. You can argue that 'it wouldn't be cold' or that 'most everyone would be used to colder wind coming off the sea', but you have to think as well that something like that wouldn't be the same case for everyone. Especially if you're on different ships. Depending on how fast the wind is moving would depend on how fast the ship moves. Sooo, Bernice wears what she does due to actual weather and temperature reasons. Thatch is obviously on the opposite end of the scale. He wears his outfit due to his work on Whitebeard's crew, doesn't have a devil fruit (Thank you, Blackbeard, for that -_- ), keeps his clothes fairly clean despite his work in the kitchen, and tends to make his hair nice. His outfit is usually themed around mostly white, but he does have some yellow in it. I'm sure you can already see where this is going, but let me geek out for a moment here. Obviously black and white are opposites on a grey scale. So you could see that much with their outfits, yeah? Now here's one better for you: yellow and purple are complementary colors on the color wheel. For those of you that aren't really art savvy, basically complementary colors are colors that sit opposite of one another on the color wheel. (Red and green are one, orange and blue are another.) Now knowing that, and knowing just how their outfits are described, do you see where I'm going with this? In short, Bernice and Thatch are an opposites attract pairing, but on a deeper level. And don't worry, for those of you that think I only themed it around the uniform Thatch wears, I did not. I'm actually going to be working on a few pieces in the near future where a lot of their outfits are themed around this idea :3
Here's your daily set of head canons for Whitebeard's crew! :3 (Especially since either have been in need of something comfort/fluffy wise to cope with irl stuff ;v;)
~•^°^•~•^°^•~•^°^•~•^°^•~
-Rakuyo is an Uta fan. In a perfect world where none of the crew dies/disbands, he actually saves his money up to take himself and all of the commanders (or his entire division if the others get fed up hearing him rant about her music) to one of her concerts.
-In continuation of the concert hc, Rakuyo also developed his liking in flashy outfits/jewelry from competing against other super fans (*coughs* bepo *coughs*) in the way of attire. He just happened to find out during one of the concerts that it also distracts Marco as well.
-Kingdew, Atmos, Blenheim, and Fossa all have gambling nights every third Saturday where they play for actual money. They usually don't let anyone else usually join them after Blamenco secretly kept sneaking coins and was putting them in his pockets and Haruta ran out of money and substituted his bets with I.O.U notes.
-Speaking of Haruta, he's TERRIBLE with money. And not by a little, lol. After the poker incident, and after three years of him getting the allotted amount of money for him and his division to share 'stolen' or 'lost', eventually his division did rat him out for making terrible purchases. (It was all for mostly gag items or clothes that none of them really needed-)
-Namur actually has a similar incident that Brook and his crew had with Laboon. After saving a seal from being hunted by humans, every so often a small group will occasionally spend a few days swimming next to the Moby. No one knows about this or why it happens since this was something that went on before he joined them. (And Stefan usually does get VERY jealous when this happens since most of the crew is paying attention to them instead of him, lol.)
-Marco has an odd taste in women. Unlike Thatch who's more predictable in the body type he prefers, Marco has specific qualities/ personalities that he likes. He can pick up on whether someone is being genuine or not, and most of the time will turn women away when he knows what they're after. It's only far and few in between the type of women he turns away that he'll actually give them a chance. ( A bit more depth: he prefers women who are more 'bratty' or bashful/timid. Although he see pride as something important in everyday work, he doesn't see it as important in relationships...if that makes sense-)
-Following that up, Thatch and Ace have similar tastes in women as one another. Both of them like women who play hard-to-get, or women who are openly kind whether they're shy or bold. However, their taste in body types are different. Ace prefers women who are more muscular, or are taller. Why? He feels like they'll at least be safe without him around. Thatch, however, does prefer curvier/chubbier women. Why? Because he's a HUGE cuddler, and he loves having something to hold. (Atmos, Curiel, and Rakuyo also have the same taste in body types as Thatch.)
-The nurses on the ship were specifically picked based on each crew member's type in women so none of the crew members would be tempted to try and hit on them. Even more so, at least three of them are actual biological siblings to a few of the men on board.
-Speed Jill, Rakuyo, Izo, and Namur do try to request off days with the nurses. Why? They enjoy they relax days they have, and so long as they're with them, they won't get teased about wanting to relax/ have a spa day.
-A third of the crew showers daily, the rest of them are either every other day/ every two to three days, or once a week/ once every other week. Among the few who shower daily are Thatch (because garlic, onions, and other unsavory spices aren't exactly something ladies flock to. Plus, he uses an abundance of hair gel in his pompadour, he has to in order to reduce damaging his hair), Haruta- surprisingly-, and Jozu. Most of the other commanders are every couple of days or every other day, Curiel and Ace are the only ones who have to be FORCED to bathe. (Yes, even Blamenco is more hygienic then Ace. You kind of have to be with Mary Poppins tote bag as your DF, lol.)
-Izo is the financial advisor of the ship, and usually is the first to put his foot down if anyone tries to shelter stray animals. Stefan was the only exception since Whitebeard was the one that brought him on board. Everyone else has to turn the animals they find loose on the islands they stop at. Since he manages the money (Thanks to Haruta-) he makes sure there's just enough to get them supplies. The rest of the money goes towards a bail fund if some group or pirates tries to kidnap one of them for ransom (this has actually happened to Blenheim and Fossa before. And surprisingly it wasn't their fault. They were actually kidnapped directly from the ship.)

Alright. That's all I have for now. Again, apologies about the one shot never being released. I'll still be working on it, but for now take these as a peace treaty instead! (Hopefully they cheer you up if you're having an off day!)
I just wanted to share some doodles that I've had since I don't really have much in the way of art here. (And yes, I know I said that I'd take a break until the end of the year, BUT IT'S TOO HARD NOT TO DO ANYTHING DX)
Anyways, these are just a few doodles that I have in my sketchbook. I'll kind of explain the idea behind them as i put them into the post here :3
A Thatch and Bernice Doodle I plan to digitalize. (In their canon info, Bernice and Thatch do end up head over heels for one another, but neither of them admit it. So when either of the two change something about themselves, the other is obsessed with it. Like here :D)
This is a meme template I'm making...this also wasn't an excuse to draw Ivankov- (THEY'RE FUN TO DRAW, I CAN'T HELP IT!! XD)
I plan to redraw Stefan here, but this is Bernice and him more or less trying to get Thatch to give them chocolate (for obvious reasons, Stefan can't have it, but Bernice is actually allergic to it :3)
Some Heat and Lee doodles because they're my otp at this point (Aka, my favorite and first oc pairing, lol)
Dunno how I came across this, but I always do this for shading practice. It's actually really fun, and it looks cool in person. Cameras don't do justice :'(
Yes, I know I said that I wasn't going to worry myself with posting on social media for the rest of the year, buuuuuuuttttttt, I actually have one more thing planned out for here in the way of writing, and I really, REALLY wanted to share the head canons I came up with for the oneshot, so yeah. :3| (Again, these are my head canons/ a mix of massively favored head canons (mostly Marco with shiny things and Thatch with Stefan and giving him scraps (this was actually from the Thatch zine on Itch.io. I'll be crediting the author once I get the chance to), Stefan is the canon dog breed he was stated to be from Oda himself.) Please don't attack me for them. They're just the goofy thoughts that go through my head when I draw/ gush about them, lol.) ___________________
-Stefan is allowed to freely greet guests as he sees fit. In the oneshot I'm writing, he is a Great Pyreness that stands at about waist level with the reader. (He’s classified as a lap dog to Whitebeard, so of course he’s a giant dog to everyone else.) Stefan was also a recent addition, so the reader has never really met him since they parted ways long before. (this also results in Namur having to retrieve multiple guests that fell overboard either running scared from Stefan or being tackled by him-)
-In addition, Thatch is also very strict on not giving scraps to Stefan. Does anyone listen to that?...absolutely not. (And not even he does himself, lol.) Thankfully, the dog has manners enough to wait until he's either given scraps or shooed off, and not jump on the table to get them himself.
-None of the ships actually have a christmas tree- unless one of the crew members have one in their personal rooms. There's too many people aboard to have one without it being in the way. So as a fair trade off, each division is allowed to decorate their vicinity on the ship as they and their division all agree on and see fit. (Kitchen is decorated like gingerbread houses (Thatch), the armory is decorated with nutcrackers and poinsettias (Vista), the main deck is with basic garland and wreath pieces (mostly Whitebeard since he prefers more traditional approaches), Rakuyo’s area is deck out in crystal decorations and tinsel (and the same goes for the infirmary, though Marco swears it was the nurses that came to that decision and not him), etc.)
-In addition, each mast had garland wrapped around it, but have odd mismatched ornaments. (Since having an actual Christmas tree would be too hectic, they settled on using the masts instead. And so far, it’s not been a problem since.) The ornaments are made up of trinkets each crew member found as something that represented them and hung that up. The number of ornaments grows every year with each new member they recruit.
-Blameno was deemed ‘Santa Claus’ for the Moby. Why? Because he can hide things in his pockets. No one would would really dare to rip off a fake beard (especially if there were a few crews that attend the party and had kids. That would be trauma to them ;-;). And truthfully, he doesn’t actually mind it, either. It gives him some leverage to mess with people like Ace (Or Rakuyo and Curiel) who’d most likely try snooping early. He never tells when he hides their gifts in his pockets either, and he certainly gets a riot out of hiding something that would keep prying hands away.
-In addition, Kingdew was also assigned to play an ‘elf’. He doesn’t mind since he basically gets to wander around later with Blamenco after everyone’s gone to bed- or passed out from the party- so no one really sees him unless they wake up. (And he gets to laugh at the fact that Haruta is the one that has to dress up as one during story time for the younger kinds...you already know the sass he gets for the days leading up to the party from Haruta.)
-Involving the story, Blenheim, Jozu, and Haruta manage reading to the younger kids at the party. And yes, every year it switches off between Jozu and Blenheim for who actually reads the story. (Haruta just gets stuck as the elf because- in their words- ‘the shoe fits him perfectly’. )
-Something fun to think about that makes me giggle: Thatch, Jozu, and Ace are the only ones aboard that actually still believe in Santa. This also results in a lot of the reason as to why Jozu is usually one of the few in bed first, Thatch makes sure everything is cleaned up before going to bed himself, and Ace usually tries running around throughout the party to make sure everyone is in high spirits (and usually passes out drinking eggnog or stealing his twelfth sugar cookie for the night, lol-) --------- If you have any others, by all means please comment them or keep them going. I'd love to see what other ideas you guys have, lol.
This has been up for a while, so allow me to actually shorten this a bit now XD-
Hi! If you don't know me, please just address me as Ducky! Some of the things you'll quickly find out if you stick around on my little piece of the internet (I call it the duck pond-) is that I cosplay, do art (I went to college for animation, but I do tend to draw very slowly at times, lol-) and write. I also stream every Friday, or at least try to. I do have things that do get in the way of my regular posting schedules, so I do apologize if I go weeks on end without streaming or posting gameplay-
For the most part, I do tend to do a lot of art for One Piece. HOWEVER, there are certain fandoms that I will occasionally make art for... unless I'm just posting vent art of some kind. Which is rare, but I do every now and then. (Also, you will catch me making and posting art of my oc x cc shippings because...why not? FREE WILL EXISTS FOR A REASON, SHUSH-) Uhhh...other things to know for fun because why not? :D -I go by she/her -I'm 22, but VERY awkward with talking to everyone -I'm a Gemini! -INFJ with a 9w1 enneagram :3 -I am ALWAYS looking for peeps to do art/cosplay collabs with! So don't be afraid to reach out at anytime to ask to do one! ^v^ -The anxiety levels are over 9,000 (Hence the reason it might feel like I'm ignoring you or most people in general. I just have a hard time with talking to people, but I'm trying to work on it!) -HUGE card and coin collector. I mostly collect One Piece cards, but...have you seen Bisai's art for the different sets? Their art is so pretty!! >w< So, I actually collect to appreciate the art, lol (And am currently looking to try and find someone that could help me learn how to play the game-) -Favorite voice actor is Ian Sinclair. (He does a lot of cool roles :3) -Top five One Piece Characters (In no real order): Thatch, Corazon, Heat, Killer, and Fukaboshi (The rest of Whitebeard's crew is right behind them, lol-) -Oddly enough, I've come to realize that most of my favorite characters over all of the anime and games I'm in are ENFJs, and I don't know how it keeps happening XD Uhhhh...Oh, right! Things to know about my ocs: -Regarding any of my ocs, you are ABSOLUTELY allowed to make fan art for them! I just ask that you tag me in it so that I can reblog it (You better believe I'm going to treat my page like a fridge, AND IT'S BIG ENOUGH TO DISPLAY ALL OF IT!) -All of my current ocs that have completed wikis are posted up on my Wattpad account, so you can go view all of the information on them there. But please do be warned, when I typed their info up in their original documents, a lot of them stretched to about 42 pages? Something like that? So do be warned that you'll be reading for a long while, lol. -My current oc x cc pairings are for One piece only atm. (I'm currently working out a Mouthwashing oc because that game has me in such a bad chokehold currently, it's not even funny XD) Those pairings are: Thatch and Bernice, Heat and Lee, and Rakuyo and Pandora (Tonta is also there, but he's Pandora's son, so...yeah-) -My ask box can be for any of my ocs, or even drawing suggestions. I'm open to anything! :3
And finally...fandoms I'm in! -Hetalia (...this show has had me in a death grip since 2010, shush-) -Creepypasta -Demon Slayer (We can be friends or enemies depending on your views of Gyomei >:3) -Jojo's Bizarre Adventure -Alice in the Country of Hearts (I FEEL LIKE THE VILLAGE CRAZY LADY BEING THE ONLY ONE THAT STILL LOVES THIS FANDOM, PLEASE, IT'S SO GOOD, BLOW IT UP-) -Villainous (And I have to clarify: Cartoon Network Villainous, Not Disney Villainous-) -Tokyo Debunkers -Hazbin Hotel (I have loved the concept since the pilot episode released, though I don't really talk about it that much. Apparently the fandom has a bad rep? Dunno how, I guess I just haven't dipped my toes into the fandom that far yet-) -Obey Me! That's not my Neighbor -The Arcana: Visual Novel -Fnaf: Security Breach -Naruto -My Hero Academia (Again, another fandom that has a bad rep, but I personally just don't mingle with others. AND BEFORE YOU ASK, no, I don't really like a lot of the popular characters. Shoji is actually my favorite out of the whole fandom (What? I like a lot of the roles that Ian Sinclair voices, ok!) -Fire Force (ANOTHER UNDERRATED FANDOM!!) -Mouthwashing (HAVE YOU SEEN THE CHARACTER DESIGN LORE FOR THIS GAME?! And with you peeps knowing me, I'm a HUIGE sucker when it comes to intricate details for character designing!! (I think my oc wikis and their 50 paged documents speak for themselves on that, lol-)) Please be patient, I'm currently working on a chapter directory for Appraise Love since the chapters are really spread out in comparison to a lot of my projects- (Updated as of 2/27/25)

The Moby Dick was a floating temple of chaos.
You’d been on board for exactly three hours when you witnessed a fistfight over the last bottle of rum, a man juggling knives while drunk off his ass, and someone trying to arm-wrestle a literal sea king. And for some reason, every single one of them tried to rope you into it.
You were sitting on a barrel near the railing, minding your own damn business, when a piece of driftwood floated by — a small, smooth thing, carved with ancient script.
Your fingers twitched.
The words called to you. Whispered in a tongue long dead to the world. It was harmless, but old. You reached out, brushing your fingers over it, murmuring softly.
“Hey, what’re you doin’?”
You didn’t even flinch when the voice broke your concentration. You finished reading the last word before looking up. A man stood there, grin too big for his face, hair looks like bread, scar on side of his eye. He's sun-browned and scarred, and a bottle swung lazily in his hand.
“Talking to wood,” you said dryly.
He barked out a laugh. “Name’s Thatch. I like you already.”
“Is it because I didn’t scream?”
“Nope. It’s ‘cause you look like you’re about to either murder someone or seduce ‘em. That’s a rare vibe to pull off.”
You quirked a brow but said nothing. Thatch clapped you on the back anyway, nearly sending you overboard.
“C’mon,” he said. “You can sulk better at the fire.”
Dinner on the Moby Dick was less of a meal and more of a battle royale.
Men shouted, meat sizzled over open flames, and ale flowed like water. You sat at the edge of it, quietly nursing a cup of something that tasted like regret and old socks.
A man with fiery freckles and a grin to match dropped into the seat beside you. He immediately reached for your drink.
You grabbed his wrist without looking.
“Mine.”
He blinked, then grinned wider. “Name’s Ace. You’re the new one, huh?”
“No,” you deadpanned. “I’m the old one. I’ve just been invisible this whole time.”
Ace snorted. “Smartass.”
Thatch appeared behind him, slinging an arm around both your shoulders. “Told you, Ace — they’re my favorite.”
You were already plotting his demise.
It didn’t take long for the others to circle.
A man with long, flowing hair and sharp eyes introduced himself as Izou. He looked you up and down like you were a puzzle with missing pieces.
“You’re strange,” he said, not unkindly.
“Thanks.”
“I like strange.”
You raised your cup in salute.
And then there was Marco.
He didn’t say anything at first. Just watched you from across the fire, golden eyes flickering like dying embers. When he finally approached, you were standing alone on the deck, staring up at a sky so thick with stars it made your teeth ache.
“You’re not like them,” Marco said quietly.
“Observant.”
He smirked. “What’s your deal?”
You hesitated. But the truth felt easier here, in the dark.
“I read things,” you said. “Things I shouldn’t be able to. Ancient things.”
“Poneglyphs.”
You stiffened, and Marco’s smirk turned sharp.
“Relax,” he murmured. “Your secret’s safe. Pops wouldn’t give a damn. Most of us wouldn’t either.”
You eyed him. “And you?”
“I find it interesting.”
You snorted. “You would.”
His laugh was soft. “Smartmouth.”
The next day, some poor idiots tried to attack the Moby Dick.
They came in hot — four ships bristling with cannons and swords, foaming at the mouth about bounties and revenge. You barely blinked.
The crew went feral.
Ace leapt into the fray with fire on his heels, Thatch laughing as he tossed knives with deadly precision. Izou shot a man out of mid-air, unfazed as blood misted the deck.
One fool broke through the chaos and made a beeline for you.
“Oi, scholar!” he sneered. “You’re worth a fortune!”
You sighed.
Raising a hand, you spoke a word older than kingdoms, and the man’s sword crumbled to dust in his grip.
He paled.
You spoke again, and the air around him shimmered — his boots turned to brittle stone, cracking beneath him. The third word sent him flying backward with a force that shattered the nearest mast.
The crew went dead silent.
Ace let out a long, low whistle. “Yo.”
“Did you see that?” Thatch yelped. “That was badass.”
Izou eyed you like you’d just turned into his favorite thing.
Marco, perched on the highest beam, grinned.
“Not helpless, then.”
You rolled your eyes. “Hardly.”
After that, you became a sort of legend.
The scholar who spoke to stones and made enemies vanish with a word. The one even sea kings gave a wide berth.
And the harem started forming before you could stop it.
Thatch started bringing you food, drinks, and increasingly ridiculous trinkets (“This is a seashell shaped like a butt, you’re welcome.”).
Ace followed you everywhere. Literally everywhere. You once found him outside the bathroom.
“What,” you demanded.
He shrugged. “Felt like it.”
"tsk."
Izou taught you how to braid hair. His hands were surprisingly gentle for a man who could blow your head off without blinking.
And Marco? He made it worse.
Sitting beside you at night, speaking of things he shouldn’t remember. Old places, lost names. His hand brushing yours when no one was looking.
You should’ve run.
You didn’t.
And the comedy never stopped.
Like the time Ace tried to fight a giant crab to impress you and got pinched in a place no man should ever get pinched.
Or when Thatch bet you couldn’t outdrink him and passed out three shots in, leaving you to doodle a mustache on his face.
Or when Izou declared you’d look better in one of his kimonos and actually wrestled you into one. (It did look good. You never admitted it.)
Even Marco wasn’t safe. You caught him napping once, a seagull perched on his head. You didn’t tell him. You let it happen.
Then came the Poneglyph.
Buried in the heart of a ruined island, half-sunken beneath the sea. You felt it before you saw it — an ache in your chest, a pulse beneath your skin.
The crew followed you in.
“This place gives me the creeps,” Thatch muttered.
“Maybe ‘cause it’s cursed,” Ace said, poking a skull.
“Both of you shut up,” Izou hissed.
You found the slab in the heart of the ruin. Black stone, ancient words glowing faintly. It sang to you.
And like an idiot, you answered.
You spoke the words.
Power thrummed through the ground, the air, your bones. The sea roared. The sky cracked.
The world shifted.
When you opened your eyes, you were on your knees. Marco was crouched beside you, worry in his gaze.
“You okay?” he asked.
You nodded, breathless. “Yeah.”
“What did it say?”
You hesitated. “War’s coming.”
His jaw tightened.
But then Ace clapped you on the back, nearly toppling you. “If anyone’s startin’ a war with you on our side, they’re screwed.”
Thatch grinned. “Dibs on being your right-hand man.”
Izou smirked. “I call left.”
Marco chuckled. “I’ll be wherever you need me.”
You sighed. “You’re all idiots.”
But you didn’t feel alone anymore.
That night, on the deck beneath a sky bleeding silver, Marco sat beside you.
“You belong here, y’know,” he said quietly.
You didn’t answer.
“Not just as some scholar. As one of us.”
You stared at the sea. “Even if I’m dangerous?”
He shrugged. “So are we.”
He touched your hand, fingers curling around yours.
“Besides,” Marco added, a grin tugging at his lips, “you still owe me a drink.”
You smiled.
For the first time in years, it felt easy.
“Deal.”
