Leo Valdez x Child of Aphrodite!reader
A/N: I haven’t got much to say this time, just a reminder that requests are open and will remain this way for some weeks at the very least:))
Warning: absolutely none (maybe some swearing? But like, two bad words), just pure fluff. Also, reader uses female pronouns
It was kind of against your destiny to fall in love: Aphrodite is bound to never return Hephaestus’ love, so that they’re stuck in a loveless marriage. With the two of you, it’s the total opposite
The exact same MOMENT you see the boy in camp, disheveled look, face covered in machine oil and dust, you’re, absolutely smitten
It’s the classical “she fell first, he fell harder” type of trope
He notices you pretty early on too, but he doesn’t even try to approach you at first
I mean, no way that the prettiest child of Aphrodite could ever even look into his direction, you’re wayyyy over his league
It takes Piper’s help to start things up, when she accidentally stumbles upon Leo while she was taking a walk around camp. “Oh how rude of me. Y/N, this is my best friend, Leo”
It would be embarrassing to write down just how much he’s stumbled on his words the first time the two of you talked, just because of how he was absolutely captured by your godly beauty
He comes to find that you’re also a lot more than you’re looks: you’re funny, smart, clever, strong as fuck, and one of the best friends Leo has ever known
It doesn’t take long for him to realize that he’s completely and irrevocably in love with you, but oh boy how long does it take him to confess it to you
He had prepared this big, fancy plan to take you by the beach, with candles all around, a circle of rose petals and in the center of it a picnic filled with all of your favorite foods waiting to be devoured
Too bad he didn’t check the weather that morning, or he would’ve seen that a storm was expected right on that evening. He might’ve asked for Percy’s or Jason’s help too, maybe they could’ve done some big-god shit to prevent the rain
Nevertheless, you both found yourself soaked wet, standing by a line of extinguished candles, the petals long gone with the wind, and the food watered down to a soup
He wanted to drown himself in the sea right then and there, but he was quickly stopped by your laugh coming from behind him
Oh gods, where you making fun of him? Did you figure out what his intentions were? It must’ve been it, I mean, how could you ever want to have anything to do with him other than simple friendship, he’s been so stupid so reckles-
His track of thoughts was interrupted by your hands grabbing the collar of his shirt and pulling him in for a loving kiss, your skilled lips so soft and comforting against his much inexperienced ones
“You could’ve just told me you liked me at Camp, you know.”
“Wait, was it that simple?”
You laughed again shaking your head at his cluelessness, and he swore the sound of your laugh could’ve been the only thing he needed to live from that moment on
Okay no maybe food too, but you get the idea
You spend most of the time chilling in cabin 9 while he works on his projects, chilling in his bed or peaking at what he was doing
He definitely calls you dove for obvious reasons
Best believe that as soon as you guys are a thing all his flirting with every girl that moves is OVER my boy does not come from the streets he’s a loyal mf
After the curfew you usually sneak out to chill in some secluded area in the forest, and cuddle for hours in the moonlight
And whenever it rains, you waste no time to go at the beach and dance in the rain, reminiscing about the day you two got together
Oh, and get ready to see Leo as an emotional wreck anytime one of you is on a quest, when he’s unable to text you or hear anything from you for days or even WEEKS
He’s sure that’s worse than Prometheus’ destiny
Overall it’s like a golden retriever - siamese cat relationship, 10/10 would recommend

Obviously Tyson and Grover are going to be in Percy’s (when Percy asked Grover to be his best man ((satyr?)) Grover cried for days)
Thalia would be Annabeth’s maid of honor, and happily take up the role of disrupting Hera’s interferences
Piper was thrilled when Annabeth asked her to be a bridesmaid. Most people expect Aphrodite kids to love wedding planning but Piper knew Annabeth had been planning this ever since the underwater kiss and had everything under control. She also was on standby to talk through any nerves
Everyone is unofficially introduced to the Norse side of the family as Magnus is one of the bridesmen
In a surprising turn of events Clarisse is one of Percy’s groomsmaids. She partners up with Thalia on anti-Hera patrols
Estelle is the flower girl
Leo made their rings from celestial bronze. Diamonds matching the other’s eyes are set in the rings
Mrs. O’Leary is the ring bearer, who had to be escorted by Nico last minute because she kept shadow-traveling away during the rehearsal
Percy asked Frank and Hazel but as they were still praetors they couldn't both leave Camp Jupiter. Hazel sent Frank with a generous wedding gift
Veterans of the Athena cabin who grew up with Annabeth volunteer to make sure everything goes smoothly. They know how important this is to Annabeth and will do whatever it takes to make the wedding happen
Jason would have officiated it :'( in his stead they asked Chiron

Leo: for the last couple of weeks I was thinking and trying to figure something out an-

Leo: my sexuality, it was on my mind for the last couple weeks and I finally figured it down and I wanted to tell you.
Calypso & Hazel: what is a sexuality?
Annabeth: ho right, you don't know. A sexuality is what you are attracted to or when or how or who to people.
Calypso & Hazel: thanks for the explanation.
Percy: so Leo, what is your sexuality?
Leo: everyone, I am aromantic asexual.
Calypso & Hazel: what does it mean?
Leo: aromantic means you experience little to no romantic attraction, and asexual means you experience little to no sexual attraction. Its a spectrum, in my case I don't feel any romantic or sexual attraction to people.
Hazel: oh, thanks for the explanation.
Reyna: but what about all the times that you flirted with people?
Leo: oh that time I just confused other kinds of attraction as romantic one.
Reyna: oh, alright.
Jason: and don't worry Leo, we except you just the way you are.
Leo: thank you Jason.

The Lost Hero au where everything is exactly the same except Piper never had romantic memories of Jason and Leo cause he thinks he’s joking about not remembering makes the joke that he and Jason are in love and definitely dating and then no one ever feels the need to clarify that he was joking and Jason spends the entirety of the book thinking Leo has memories of them dating and Jason’s having a crisis while Leo doesn’t even remember the joke.
As a neurodivergent teen, I can assure you that we are fucking terrifying.

I CAN'T GET OVER THE FACT THAT REYNA JOINED THE HUNTERS I LOVE THAT SO MUCH FOR HER, SCREW ROMANCE WHO NEEDS IT, NAH, BC GUYS YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!
My girl doesn't need romance for shit, and whoever said that (past me) is wrongggggg, absolutely incorrect. Thalia and Reyna SHOULD NOT DATE !!!! I'm making my new stance clear.
She's living her best life away from all of the expectations of being a Praetor, especially one who had to handle the job alone for so long after Jason was whisked away!
And to talk more about the end of the series: I have the ending burned into my brain, the first time I read it I crieddd my young heart out because blah blah blah feeling a sense of belonging in a time of strife or whatever, but I still think about it to this day and I love it. 😭
This post is now also a Shel appreciation post because Shel my beloved, I'm glad Piper was able to continue with her life and find the most beloved girlie, happy for them. I bet Shel has piercings.
Bruh, wouldn't it have been amazing if Reyna was actually dating Thalia.
I love the fact that Lester even brought it up in the first place.

Piper woke up, her limbs tired, her eyes itching, she didn’t remember how she got home, the last thing on her mind was studying in the library, a horrible migraine during a horrible day, thankfully, today was better, just her body sore.
The door opened, soft steps around the room, the curtain moving, a crack of sunlight entering the place.
“Morning babe, how was your sleep?”
Reyna was at the window, her hair loose, long, falling at her back, a towel around her neck, barefoot, she was brushing her hair.
“Let me.”
Piper sat on the bed, stretching her arms, holding the brush on the nightstand, brushing Reyna’s hair, kissing her neck, quickly, smiling at the blushing of her girlfriend.
“Are you fine?”
Annabeth entered the room, holding a tray, scramble eggs, waffles, a cup of chocolate and a glass with a flower on it, leaving the breakfast on the bed, she climbed on and kissed Piper, a chaste kiss on her lips, other kiss on her nose and one on Reyna’s cheek.
“Yep, better than yesterday,” answered Piper, putting the tray on her legs, cutting a bit of a waffle “but, how did I get here?”
“Leo found you knocked out on the library, we brought you home, made you take a bubble bath and put on pajamas.”
Piper smiled, feeling cozy, looking at her girlfriends.
“I love you, both of you.”

First meeting
When Jason woke up on a school bus, not memories, a handsome boy playing with his hair saying he was his boyfriend, a pretty girl looking at the window, declaring herself as his best friend.
Then things got weird, their schoolmate was a cloud, trying to kill them, the coach was a satyr, he could fly.
When the angry blonde girl carried them in a chariot, he was lost, Piper and Leo were looking at him, the boy holding his hand, warm.
Then Jun… no Hera, sending them on a mission, Leo over a mechanic dragon, looking really hot, they traveling to save the goddess.
And now, mid-January, Leo and him were sitting near Hestia's fire, having a date, Jason playing with the fog, making figures, Leo jiggling.
Focus on each other, they didn't notice the shadows blooming in front of them, a boy stepping out, falling on his knees, wheezing, rolling to his side.
"Are you okay, kid?"
The boy growled, raising his head, an angel face looking at them, raven hair, pale skin, big and dark eyes, full rosy lips.
"I'm not a kid." Said the boy, with an adorable Italian accent.
Raising on his feet, the boy kept sending bad looks at them.
"I'm sorry, " said Jason "I'm…"
"I know you're the roman boy, and the both of you saved Hera."
His tone was bitter like he didn't like Hera.
"If you talk that angry about a goddess things won't go well."
"She didn't care about me being sealed to the Titan army."
"She tried to kill me when I was a toddler, we're on the same boat." Leo winked, patting the bench at his side "Come her, least talk about annoying gods."
"I'm Nico, by the way"
AU
Superhero! Au, the lost trio is a team.
Jason, Piper, and Leo have powers, they were trained by the Gaia, a group who searches for kids with powers to train them and cause chaos.
They are the youngest, kidnapped when they had two years, the Olympians save them when they have sixteen, Hylla adopt the trio, and they share a lot of time with Reyna, Thalia is part of the Olympians, but she is a Hunter, and she cannot take care of Jason.
Fast forward, Reyna wants to study in college, the trio wants to follow her, they go.
Nico is the neighbor, Reyna's best friend, and he is nice to them, he is kind and they love him.
But Gaia is still around, and start to destroy places and cause chaos, the trio decides to be superheroes.
Leo, a technopath, is Tech, Piper is a telepath and can order you things, she's Whisper, Jason controls the weather, he's Thunderman.
After an impressive fight, all the people in the city know about the new heroes.
A week after, Nico is walking home, and a burglar threatens him, Thunderman appears and saves him.
Nico, a big nerd, comic fan, runs to the trio place and is nuts, Piper and Leo are like "Cool" but Jason is blushing because Nico is exaggerating, he didn't appear in a cloud of thunder, his voice didn't shake the windows.
And Nico is a magnet for trouble, in less than twelve hours he is held hostage of a bunch of people trying to steal something in the museum.
Jason is like "I saved you last night" and Nico is vibing because the superhero remembers his face.
And this happens a lot, Nico is in a cafe, this place is going to explode, Nico is having fun in a park, a big battle with the bad guys, and the trio saves him.
Two or three months after the first meeting with the heroes, Nico is taking a bus, the bridge they are passing is going to fall, Nico's ankle is twisted, Jason takes him, bride style, and they are flying away.
"You know, the next time met we can have a coffee, and avoid mortal danger."
Jason is in shock, this boy is asking him on a date?
Because the trio loves him, he's caring, and take them out, knowing their interests, and maybe Leo and Jason are a little bit in the romantic territory.
Nico takes Leo to natural places, they go to zoos, parks, hiking with Reyna, and Leo loves to be away from electronics, his mind is at peace, and Nico taking his hand while they are walking, stopping to take photos, looking so pretty at the sunlight, Leo is living just to be the weekend and go out.
And Jason loves to learn, they go to libraries and bookstores, natural and history museums, or they just walk in the city to discover new places, Jason is head over heels for this boy, smiling every time Nico is talking, paying attention to every word.
To be honest, Piper loves him too, but more platonic, she loves art, and Nico knows it, they go to art museums, galleries, concerts, the cinema, they got lost in the subway and the streets to see musicians and people performing, and go to a lot of restaurants, they know the best places to eat.
So, when Jason talk to his friends about Nico's date, Leo is a little jealous, and he searches for the boy and ask him out as Tech.
And Nico can't say no.
But the boys asking him out as civilians too.
"Reyna, four hot boys are hitting on me, How can I choose, I have to choose?"
Piper is living it up, her friends are a gay mess and she loves the drama, Reyna wants to tell the truth, but she is enjoying it.
Nico finds out his neighbors are the superheroes, he's mad because he fell they were playing with him, asking him with both identities.
Leo and Jason are feeling super bad, the hurt Nico, and he isn't talking to them, but they manage to win his forgiveness.
Long story short, the overcome the bad guys, Nico is dating both of them, Piper and Reyna are dating too, everyone is happy, the end.
College AU
Summary: Jason goes to visit his boyfrind college
Jason walked to the library, taping his hand on his leg, feeling too conscious about being in a college library, technically was legal to be there, nobody was going to yell at him or throw him outside, but the people was staring at him.
“Hey, Superman” Piper, his best friend, was near the door, her eyes shining, a smile full of mockery on his lips “You should change your clothes”
“I just wanted to see both of you”
Piper grabbed the sleeve of the jacket, jugging the military uniform that Jason was wearing.
“Leo will be on the labs, I know you to want to be reunite”
“I missed you”
The sarcastic laugh of Piper made him smile, it was true that he wanted to see Leo more than anything, but she was his best friend and he missed her a lot.
“The roommate of Leo is out, family time, his bedroom is available for both of you”
Blushing, Jason followed Piper, the girl searching for a book, while they talked about their lives, six months without seeing each other, the boy talking about the program to become a pilot, the classes and the comareads, Piper talking about the college, the students, her roomate, and the professors.
When they got out, someone crash on Jason’s arms, starting to kissing him, leaving soft kisses on his cheeks, forehead and lips.
“You two are making a show”
“Shut up Piper, my boyfriend is here, I don’t care about other people”
“Hi, sweety” said Jason holding the waist of Leo, the boy hugging Jason with his legs, holding to his boyfriend like a koala.
“Go to your room to fight with Drew”
Piper yelled something, about bad friends that prefered to make out than being with her.
“I missed you so hard”
Leo kissed him, tightening the grip of his legs, his hands caressing the hair of Jason.
“I missed you too”
Power
Jason always avoided power, he became centurion because the old one finished his time in the legion and proposed Jason for the job, he became praetor because he slayed Krios, he never felt comfortable, he was relieved when Frank took his place.
The old praetors, the ones who raised him, teached him about the old roman leaders, the sons and daughters of Jupiter, all of them falling for ambition, cursing the lives of all the people around they.
Having the title of Pontifex maximus, was terrifying, he had more power than the praetors, he could act like a dictator, or he could fail, incapable of honoring all the gods.
Standing in front of a mirror, in the house the senate gave him, he hold the robes, remembering all the meetings, the first ones, when old legionaries kept an eye on him, bored, watching the grown-ups talk, later, sitting in the back with Reyna, explaining to the young girl the work of all the people, pointing at the important ones, when he was a centurion, the youngest in more than a century, the six months he was a praetor, talking about the reconstruction of New Rome, hopping a long time with peace, now, with a new title, he was going to talk in the senate again.
“Why romans are so stuck-up?” asked Leo, while he entered the room “That's why I love greeks, just sitting in a ping pong table, drinking soda, threatening other people with knives, that's a war council, not this”
“We are not in a war council, if that's the case, I would be wearing an armor and all of my medals”
They heard Piper calling them from the door, something about Reyna waiting for them.
“You should stop worrying, we aren’t letting you get air-headed, we all are with you, to honor the minor gods, and, if your ambition gets too dangerous, I’m sure that Reyna will ground you, La Reina de Roma won’t let you destroy her kingdom”
