Can’t wait for the most chaotic cast members to be placed in a room together with the most unhinged Brennan there has ever been to make an extremely improvised season of D20. Definitely nothing weird is gonna happen
thinking about post nsbu liv using the nickname king. at first it’s just with wendell, dang, usha, and usha confuses her granddaughter talking about king (“grandma, are you talking about the king? like the british one?” “no, no, kingskin” “king what?”) and dang directs people to the register (“king over there can check yall out”) and wendell sends good morning texts (“good morning king!”) and then one day wendell is talking to someone and it slips out—“my boyfriend, king”—and he hasn’t even called liv his girlfriend before, but when he looks over her—his—eyes are big and he whispers, “say that again.”
and she’s still liv. she’s still a girl, she still enjoys her long hair and nail polish and a cute dress when the weather’s right, but sometimes—sometimes he’s king, and he’s not quite a man yet but he’s getting there. and more often it’s both. he’s liv, and she’s king, and he likes to wear cute hair clips that match the pattern of the tie she’s wearing and nail polish the same shade as his suit, and he’s wendell’s girlfriend and boyfriend and friend.
not everyone gets it, but the ones who matter do. paula tells her that’s she’s a lovely young man and dang and her get high and talk about bottom surgery and russell makes him an extra name tag to wear at the video store depending on how she feels that day and helps him with a workout routine.
its her life, after all. you can change your mind whenever you want. you choose who to be.

never stop blowing up has big “way too tired at a sleepover and making up a story together at 3am” energy and everyone ooh-ing at “liv is a little bit sad the kiss didn’t happen” truly solidifies that
I love how Brennan is STEADFAST in refusing to let the queerness in NSBU lead to any sort of negative outcomes from NPCs.
Paula keeps accidentally playing Jack as gay? Everyone’s fine with that.
Kingskin’s a bicon? Of course he is, it’s on the poster!
Jennifer Drips and G13 keep being referred to by different pronouns over time? Not a problem boss.

I’m really enjoying Jacob’s enthusiasm. His commitment to having the highest kill count. The glee with which he participates. And the seriousness with which he takes the roleplay. His conflict with the rest of the party was fantastic and it led to that wild scene where he intends to cuck that man who’s wearing a pig snout. (That sounds like a fever dream.) This dedication to the scene and the reality they’ve built is exactly what I expected having seen his appearances on Make Some Noise and Game Changer and it’s a joy to watch because he’s so funny.
I think my favorite moment of this season so far is at 35:00 of episode two, where Jacob lets out the most pure, sincere, childlike shriek of glee I’ve ever heard
Rekha loves the bit of reeaally digging into one particular character trait. Usha's an elderly woman? No, she's the oldest woman alive. She predates sliced bread. She remembers War of Worlds clearly. G13 could just be regular skinny and greasy, but no, actually, he wears 'long children's' size t-shirts, slips through gaps in stuck elevators, is unrelentingly described as 'terrible-looking' by Rekha herself, and actively repulses everyone he meets. And she's right too it's funny every time

Ally in never stop blowing up is so funny, they don’t have the regular mystery solving crew so they’re stepping up to move the plot forward while everyone is buying shirts at the hotel gift shop. Bringing up the right names, asking the right questions. Iconic of them. I’m getting whiplash from last season.
doing the math for the newest nsbu episode and it would take about 45½ seconds to reach 5000 mph at an acceleration that is maybe barely surviveable, requiring almost 44 thousand miles straight to accelerate. so probably not happening on long beach.
