Going to the Cannes Film Festival was amazing! From screening my film “Orisha’s Journey” 8 times at their Short Film Corner (which is basically a short film festival within the Festival de Cannes), meeting and speaking with Director Guillermo del Toro, and having the pleasure to watch many wonderful films it was an experience of a lifetime! Sorry for taking so long to share some of my experience on Tumblr here’s a blog below for more details on my trip:) Thanks y’all! -Abdul

A subjective review, with personal opinions and minor minor spoilers I acutally enjoyed it! - When I first heard that Michael Fassbender was casted in this movie, I had no doubts and thought it was perfect casting. IT WAS - All the acting of major roles (Marion Cortillard, Jeremy Irons) were flawless, and I really enjoyed the other supporting characters - However I did think the movie could add more explanation about the organisation and the general plot - I loved the 'Assassin's Creed' style action, and the cinematography, although, sometimes there were too much smoke?? Fog?? I don't know - 2/3 of the movie was taken place in modern era and this is my biggest complain - I heard that this was a trilogy???? Am I right??? I'm not sure how they will carry on with different historical era in the next movie Overall, I'd give it a 6/10, and this was the first movie I watched in 2017! I really hope the movie will improve more. Oh, and before the movie started, there was a Wonder Woman trailer, and although I'm deeply in to marvel (as much as dc, I don't know marvel had lead me to the comic world the first time) I realllly hope it does well
