I feel like the reaction to gnarly kinda shows how much music has been monetized like no one's actually trying to understand the song (music IS poetry), they just see a surface level meaning of the lyrics and a beat they don't like and click off. You don't have to like it and I'm not tryna say gnarly is a super meaningful song but y'all could at least try to dig a bit deeper (like how gnarly can mean something good or bad. I choose to believe the tesla name drop was said with negative connotations ðŸ˜). And I get it, I liked the sound they had at debut too, but guys, music is about expression and evolving. Getting your art shoved into a box is so frustrating, I wish we could treat art as art and not just as a commodity
