genuinely LOVE this movie. I think it pertains to modern day trad wife shit Ngl. The way she constantly wants a man to love her but vulnerability (part of love) disgusts her (at least when it’s from men). At the same time I think that the way she speaks of nobody coming to save her when she cried is reminiscent of how in the modern day males are sometimes supported more in their mental health than women are. Or how women are expected to throw things to the side to comfort their partner. The sex obsessed cult witch man is also another symbol for the patriarchy and how it encourages women to be uber sexual for the benefit of men under the guise of female empowerment. The way the two blonde sister dance in front of a crowd of men for them to see and it’s framed as empowerment. The men in the crowd don’t respect these women dancing, they want to dominate them. It’s not empowering to dangle meat in front of lions. Omg so much stuff to talk about. Movie is fantastic and I’m referencing Wayne in the first part and giliad (I think that’s his name) in the second part. What do y'all think???
