Way back in 2018, I saved the lyrics “Can't I make you understand? You're having delusions of grandeur,” from Defying Gravity, Wicked, in a Google Doc of all my favorite quotes. However, upon rewatching all the Star Wars movies this year, I realized that I might not be the first person to like the line... looking at you Stephen Schwartz

Ok so we all just know Chuuya went to see Wicked in theaters and decided to make Defying Gravity his theme song.
He's battling an enemy, and he suddenly disappears. Next thing you know, there's a disembodied voice-
"Something has changed within me..."
The enemy turns around, but he can't find him.
"Something is not the same..."
And this keeps going until Chuuya signals for one of his subordinates to hit the light so the enemy can see him standing on the ceiling as he belts:
"I THINK I'LL TRY DEFYING GRAVITYYYYY"
He's still singing it on the car ride home.

In this au everything is the same except lance is secretly from the Boiling Isles who's once the youngest Abomimations Coven leader to Wild witch of the realm and ran away to the human world. He was adopted by the Mcclain family they were really nice and exepting to him unlike his bological family they were Toxic and Judgemental to him. He new revealing his past would caust trouble but to fight and team up with voltron he had no choice cause he had to make sacrifices to save the universe.

god forbid a girl gives her dog an entire broadway performance but she has 0 vocal strength so when she tries to belt (she’s known she cannot belt since she was seven) she gives herself a nosebleed with how hard she strains herself but she continues bc the show must go on and now she cannot speak. God forbid. Who would be SO silly. Who would do that. Not me I’m soooo not silly.
WICKED MOVIE SPOILERS
During Popular, Galinda tells Elphaba “pink goes good with green” in which Elphaba responds “pink goes well with green”.
This, to me as a first time Wicked viewer, always had a double meaning, that on one hand, Elphaba is a grammar police but also, that this kind of alludes to the way Elphaba rejects the notion of goodness by the end of the movie.
Throughout the movie, Galinda is constantly defined as “good” but deep down all of her good deeds are shallow (ex. Changing her name to take a stand when she states she doesn’t really care about Dr Dillamond).
Her goodness is performative and done to appease her peers and make her look better. As Elphaba said, “You couldn’t care less about what people think. Through I doubt that’s true.”
Elphaba’s kindness however, has her perceived as an enemy of the people and wicked, but she in the end, doesn’t care. She’d rather be considered wicked and do what she considers morally right rather than be seen as “good” and perform shallow acts of kindness for the approval of the people.
