The day had finally arrived. Your new movie was coming out in a few months, and tonight was the night of the premiere. You were starring in a mystery thriller alongside your husband, Chris Evans, who was attending with you.
After being told the premiere will be held in Vienna, two days after Chris’ birthday, the two of you agreed it would be a great idea to fly out earlier than planned, so the two of you would be celebrating his birthday there.
And so, on the day of the premiere, you were getting ready in one of the hotel rooms. With a tailor making last-minute adjustments to your dress, a makeup artist adding a few extra touch-ups to your face, and people running all over the place.
You had settled on a beautiful dress and Chris, a dashing yet straightforward black and white tuxedo.
Chris was a lot calmer than you were, seeing that he had less work to be done. However, all this pressure sure wasn't making you feel any less nervous. As you were sitting on the make-up chair, your manager, Mara, walks toward you.
She was making sure you were all caught up on your itinerary for the night. Not that you were going to follow it anyway, you just loved to entertain her. “OK. So first, red carpet. You're walking with Chris, right?”
You nod in response, face still being brushed up by one of the make-up artists.
“Alright. Then, since we need the publicity for your upcoming movie, I've arranged about five interviews for you. And then it’s bonding with your castmates, bla-bla-bla, movie premiere, you know the drill, and then, finally—the after-party. Sound good? Good. Have fun, you look great.”
Giving her a warm smile in return, you pull her in for a warm hug. “Thank you, Mara; you're the best. I don't know what I'd do without you.”
She kisses both sides of your cheeks, making sure not to ruin your makeup. “Meet you on the carpet.” and then leaves to take care of other things.
Chris soon comes out of one of the bedrooms, adjusting the cuffs on his sleeves, eyes immediately turning away to look at you. “Beautiful,” he says, staring at you in utter amazement.
“Why thank you.” you manage to say, bending your knees outward and pinching the sides of your dress to take a curtsy.
He then takes his eyes off of you and stares you down. “Oh, sorry, I was talking about the dress.”
You look up at him with an offended stare and furrowed brows. “Excuse me?” You scoff, hands crossed. Chris then walks towards you, hands in each side of his pockets.
“Somethings....not quite right,” he says, and before you know it— he’s pulling you in by your waist, closing in the gap between the two of you, and connecting your lips with his.
The kiss starts soft, later then turning passionate, his hands running along your back. That action alone making you feel shivers run down your spine. Soon, he's reaching down toward the back of your dress, attempting to pull the zip down.
You pull away from the kiss, causing him to let out a whine, trying to pull you back in. “Chris! You've already ruined my lipstick; I can't have you ruining my makeup next, can I?” You scold, giving his shoulders a whack and causing him to yelp.
“Sorry, couldn’t help it. Looking forward to ruining your makeup tonight, though.” He teases while rubbing his shoulders.
You roll your eyes and can't help but bite back a grin at his sly comment.
The little moment is shortly interrupted when Megan, Chris’ publicist, walks through the door. “Alright, you two. The limos are ready. You guys good to go?” She asks.
The two of you nod in agreement, then clasping your hands together, following her in pursuit.
:
Stepping out of the vehicle, Chris offers out his arm for you to take. After hooking your arms around his, you look to your side to meet his gaze, taking a slow breath. “Let's do it,” you state.
Making your way through the entrance together, so many people greeted you. All of them were thrilled to talk to both of you. Then, one by one, you and Chris made your way through all of them.
As the two of you were finishing up with your castmates, the next thing you knew, you were about to walk the red carpet.
These types of things had always scared you; Chris knew that. So, in an attempt to make you feel better, he leans down to whisper in your ear. “You know, instead of going to the after-party, we could leave early and go to burger king instead.”
You turn around to face him, a sheepish smile spreading across your face. “I’d love that.”
“Great,” He says, amused by the look on your face. “You ready?” And to that, you nod, squeezing your eyes shut out of built-up nerves.
Chris places a gentle kiss on your forehead, intertwining your hands with his. “Let's go,” he says, taking in a deep breath and letting go with puffed cheeks.
Hand in hand, you begin to make your way towards the crowd. As soon as the two of you set foot on the carpet, cameras start flashing, and photographers were throwing shouts everywhere—Chris wraps his left arm around your waist, another hand in his pocket.
Everyone’s eyes were on the two of you, leisurely strolling along the carpet.
After posing for what felt like forever, you and Chris separate for a while. He was still busy making conversation with everyone, and you just wanted to get over with all five interviews Mara said she'd arranged for you.
You walk in the direction of a friendly-looking reporter, her face lighting up when she sees you.
“Hi! I'm Y/N, and It's so lovely to meet you. How are you? You look great, by the way!” You say as a conversation starter, a small smile appearing on your face.
Her face begins to blush at the striking compliment. “Oh my God, it's so lovely to meet you too! I’m Leia, and I'm doing good now, thanks to you. But, can I just say, I look like nothing compared to how great you look tonight? Always gracing us with your presence and beauty. Do you mind telling us who designed this beautiful dress of yours?” She asks, holding out the mic for you.
“Oh stop, you're making me blush, thank you. It's so good to hear that you're doing good now, Leia. Well, I got this beauty designed by one of the best, my knight in shining armour, Jean-Paul Gaultier.”
She lets out a chuckle, then moving on to ask you another question. “Speaking of knights in shining armour, I was told that you and your husband, Chris flew out to Venice early. I'm assuming the two of you celebrated his 40th birthday here two days ago?”
“Right, yes, he forced me to come with him. It hurt that I had to cancel my invite to Kat Dennings birthday party instead because of him. What a jerk.”
Amused by your answer, she brings the mic to her chest, letting out a wholehearted laugh. You can't help but bite back a grin.
She then regains her composure, brushing off the hems of her dress before being given a chance to ask you another question. Suddenly, the two of you are joined by Chris, who rests his hands on your shoulders.
“Hi, there! What are you ladies talking about? I'm Chris, by the way,” he lets out in a cheerful tone, holding out his hand for the reporter to take.
Leia shakes his hand, excited. “Hello Chris, so lovely to meet you. Your wife Y/N and I were just talking about your birthday celebration the two of you had two days ago. How'd it go? Did she orchestrate any surprises?”
His eyebrows perk up, one hand falling off of your shoulder and now resting on his hip. “Oh yeah, it was great. We fucked all night.”
After hearing his bold statement, he laughs playfully as your eyes bulge, later shoving him in the chest, causing Leia to laugh again.
With Chris now enjoying himself after embarrassing you, you can't help but return the favour. You sure did have something in mind, alright.
“Deffffinitely. Also, don't tell anyone I told you this, but since it was his birthday, I had to fake my orgasm and lie, so he wouldn't have to feel bad.” So you say, after pretending to whisper in Leia’s ear, loud enough so Chris could hear you.
Now it was his turn to be embarrassed. You couldn't stop laughing after seeing the look on his face, Leia joining in with you. It was priceless.
His whole face turning bright red.
After talking with Leia a little longer, the both of you start to move on to the next reporter. You had noticed the change in Chris’ behaviour.
“Why didn't you tell me even if it was my birthday?" Finally, Chris manages to let out, after being quiet for some time.
"I was joking, Chris. You know I love to tease you and only you. That night was one of the best nights I've ever had, It makes me wish it was your birthday every day. Plus, you kinda got what you deserve right after what you said about us fucking all night." You let out a small chuckle, rubbing his back gently.
His mood lightens up again after your response, a sneaky grin dancing along his lips.
"Did you know it was my birthday today?" He jokes, nudging you in the shoulder.
“You’re disgusting.” You look at him on your side and roll your eyes. However, you can't help but hide a smile as the two of you make your way towards the crowd, blending in.
:
Finally done with the movie premiere and everything else, you and Chris excuse yourselves just like he had promised, and the next thing you know, the both of you were making out in a Burger King booth.
Request? Baby mine was soooooo good. Can you do one where Chris helps Bella meet Noah for the first time? Cute fluffy one please 😭
Thank you sm for this request! This is more of a blurb, but I hope that you still like it even if it is a bit on the shorter side. x
Stepping Up
Baby Mine
“Are you ready to finally meet your little brother, Bells?”
Chris can’t help but grin to himself from ear to ear as he quickly makes his way down the hospital’s maternity ward towards your private room. He’s carrying his six and a half year old daughter, Isabella, on his hip. His mother and two sisters had been keeping an eye on Bella for the last couple of days while you were going through labor, and as soon as the baby was born, Chris had called them up and asked them to start heading down to the hospital. While his mother and sisters, along with the rest of his family, are anxious to see his son for the first time, he’s asked that they remain patient for a while longer because it is only right, in his mind, that Bella be the first to meet him. That, and he wants to spend some private time with his wife and children alone before the visitors start pouring in.
“What if he doesn’t like me?” Bella pouts. She reaches up with her teeny fingers, nervously fiddling with his beard.
He laughs, shaking his head at her. He’s ready to explain to Bella that Noah is only a few hours old and can barely open his eyes, but instead, he assures her, “He is going to love you so much, Bella. You’re going to be the best big sister to Noah, me and mommy know that you will.” He stops just outside of your room and takes a moment to give her a loving kiss on her cheek. Chris hopes that the transition from being an only child to now having a sibling won’t be too difficult for her. The last thing that he wants is for Bella to ever feel like she isn’t as important or as loved as her brother. He’s never going to let that happen, not if he can help it. “I love you, Isabella. Always remember that no matter what, I love you very, very much.”
She wraps his arms around his neck. “I love you too, daddy.”
Chris hums and his arms give her tiny body a gentle squeeze. No matter how many times over the last couple of months she’s called him that, each and every time she says it feels like the first and it makes his heart swell warmly with pride. If there’s one thing he’s grown to absolutely adore, it’s being this little girl’s daddy—and hearing her call him that makes him happier than he’s ever been in his entire life.
“C’mon, sweetheart. Let’s see if mommy is ready for us.” He lightly knocks at the door before cracking it open slightly. “Honey? You all done feeding? I have a little visitor here who is just dying to see you.”
“Yeah, I’m all done,” Your voice calls back in reply. You’re sitting up in your hospital bed, your back resting comfortably against the pillows as you cradle your newborn son in your arms. Your heart nearly explodes inside of your chest with complete and utter joy when your husband carries your daughter into the room. The last time you saw Bella was nearly forty-eight hours ago, right before you had started experiencing early symptoms of labor. Chris made the call of taking her to his mother’s house well before your water broke, just to be safe. Two days later, you couldn’t be happier to finally see her again. “Hi Bells!”
“Mommy!” She exclaims, right into Chris’ ear. “I missed you!”
You smile widely at her. “Oh, I bet I missed you more! How’s my best girl?”
“I’m good!”
Chris carries her over to your side, bringing her closer.
Bella’s big, innocent eyes widen when she gets a glimpse at the baby you’re holding in your arms.
“Bella, this is Noah,” You tell her, feeling an emotional lump rise in the back of your throat as you watch her reaction to him. You manage to swallow it back. “He’s been waiting all morning to meet you.”
Chris perches himself beside you on your bed, settling Bella onto his lap. “Go on, kiddo,” he encourages her. “Say hello.”
“Hi Noah.” She gives the sleeping infant a shy wave before bashfully turning around and burying her face into Chris’ chest.
He rubs her back soothingly. “It’s okay, Bells.” He prompts her to take another look.
You hold up Noah towards them. “Don’t be shy, sweetheart.”
Bella lifts her head from his chest and turns her attention back to her brother. She hesitates, at first, but then she reaches over and gently touches his cheek. She gasps. “He’s so soft!”
Chris watches the scene before him, his own emotions nearly getting the best of him. He never could have imagined that he would have a family—his own perfect little family. But here he is, with a gorgeous wife and two beautiful, perfect children.
“Mommy? Can I hold him?” Bella suddenly asks, timidly looking up at you.
“Honey, I think you’re too little—”
Chris immediately interjects. “Well, wait a second. I think we can make that happen.” He quickly stands up and sets Bella down on her feet before walking over to the single, dark blue armchair that’s nestled in the corner of your room. He drags it up beside your bed, giving you a wink as he does so. He picks Bella up and sits her in the chair before taking one of your extra pillows and placing it onto her lap. He takes her arms in his hands and begins to maneuver them for her. “Here, hold your arms out like this against the pillow. There we go, that’s it. Just keep your arms like that, okay?”
Bella nods her head and does as she’s told. “Okay, daddy.”
Chris takes Noah from your arms and you watch as he gingerly sets the baby in Bella’s waiting arms. He’s careful to keep his hand on the back of Noah’s head for support.
“And there we go,” he says, grinning at her. “Look at you! Being a big girl and holding your baby brother.”
Bella beams proudly. “Look Mommy! I’m doing it!”
You reach over and grab a tissue from the bedside table, dabbing at your eyes.
“You okay, honey?” Chris glances over his shoulder at you.
You nod lightly, sniffing. “Hormones.”
He chuckles, shaking his head as he turns his attention back to his kids.
Noah fusses and a second later, he opens his eyes ever so slightly.
“He’s awake!” Bella whispers. “Daddy! He’s looking at me!”
“He is, sweetheart.” Chris brushes a stray lock of hair out of her face. “Talk to him.”
“I love you Noah,” Bella coos to him. “I promise to be the bestest big sister ever!”
