yoshida knew about denji, his secret identity and pretty much everything about him there was to know. however, yoshida didn't know that denji had a twin brother. it was almost like it was some sort of secret, but of course it wasn't. it was just pure coincidence that yoshida never met denji's brother whenever he was around.

usually, whenever yoshida came over to denji's place to check up on him, it was just them two. there was no twin brother, or mention of him at all. sure, yoshida would see nayuta from time to time, but there was nobody else. naturally, yoshida thought it was just denji and nayuta living alone.

however, his opinions soon changed.

yoshida went to denji's house as usual, wanting to check up on him and see if he really hadn't spilt the word on him being chainsaw man or whatever. he expected denji to open the door, or even nayuta. but that is far from what had happened.

"hello?" a voice said as they opened the door, revealing themselves and the home behind them to denji. the person was dressed up all femininely, so they definitely looked like a woman. however, their somewhat low voice put yoshida off, and he was definitely confused. yoshida had to do a double take to make sure he was at the right place, and not at denji's neighbours by accident.

the black haired boy cleared his throat, regaining his senses before looking up at the person infront of him. "hello. i didn't know denji had another sister.. is denji at home right now?" yoshida asked, a small grin on his face as he waited for an answer. the other person's face seemed to contort into a look of confusion, almost as if the words coming from yoshida's mouth seemed like nonsense.

"denji's not at home.. he went out with nayuta to get some groceries." they responded with a small sigh before continuing. "but i'm not his sister. i'm his brother." he said, a small frown on his lips as he looked over at yoshida. now that they mentioned it, it was true. they were definitely denji's brother, they looked the part and even sounded like denji.. they were too alike and it sort of freaked yoshida out.

"ah.. of course. sorry for assuming." yoshida chuckled nervously, scratching the back of his neck. that was awkward, he should've just kept his mouth shut earlier and not said anything about the boy being denji's sister or whatever. "well, if denji's not at home, can i take you to a cafe as an apology?" yoshida grinned, trying his best to make up for his mistake.

[name] hummed, considering yoshida's offer for a few seconds. it did sound tempting, and yoshida seemed to be denji's friend so he could trust the other boy.. however, [name] was dirt broke. just like denji. there was no way he could afford to go to a cafe of all places, his fashion taste was too expensive for him to be able to go to a cafe!

"i'd love to but.. i'm broke." he stated blankly, staring at yoshida. this whole situation seemed to give yoshida deja vu from the first time he met denji after the whole assassination protection period. it was weird.

yoshida shook his head and gave [name] a light chuckle. "no, don't worry about payment. i'll take care of the cost, i insulted such a.. pretty man like you i'll pay for everything." he replied, grinning at [name]. he really hoped [name] would accept his proposition now if he was offering to pay. yoshida also hoped [name] wouldn't be like his brother, buying almost everything off of the menu...

[name]'s eyes widened and he looked estatic by the proposition. he couldn't believe that yoshida wanted to be such a gentleman to him.. he admired it truly. "in that case, i'd love to go to a cafe with you." [name] smiled back, and it almost felt like he had accepted a date from yoshida. the black haired boy didn't know he had gotten into this mess. two cafe dates with two siblings. he was probably the first person in the world to do such a thing in such a short amount of time too.

after [name] got himself ready, the two set off to the cafe. they shared different things on their way their such as their names, their favourite music.. all the sorts of things you tell someone as small talk. or, rather, the things you try to ask your date about on your first date. it definitely felt like yoshida was going on a first date with [name] at this point, and he wasn't sure if he should be complaining or not.

the time went on, and so did the 'date'. yoshida found out more and more about [name], and the fact that he was practically nothing like denji even though they were twins. it sort of fascinated yoshida, thinking that twins should be in sync with eachother at all times, but yoshida was still amused nonetheless. he really started to enjoy [name]'s company, and even the way he dressed. he never knew a man could pull of such a nice outfit, despite how feminine it looked. [name] really started to change yoshida's perpective, and even the way his heart beat. it was as if yoshida's heart was racing around [name], even though they had met just a few hours ago and yoshida thought [name] was a girl at first.

yoshida decided to be a gentleman and walk [name] home. they exchanged more pleasantries on the way, smiling at eachother as they walked. once they reached [name]'s place, yoshida stopped and so did [name].

"thank you for today." [name] said softly, a smile adorned on his lips as he looked at the black haired male. "it was really nice, all of it.. it sucks when i can't do nice things like that more often, you know? i keep spending money on my outfits rather than stuff like that." he chuckled a little, trying to make light of the situation.

yoshida nodded and he smiled back at [name]. "of course, it was my pleasure. you can always ask me if you want to such a thing again sometime, it'll be my treat." he replied, already planning the next 'dates' he'd go on with [name].

then, the front door opened to reveal denji standing in the doorway with his arms over his chest. "[name]! where have ya been! we've been waiting for ya!" he said, a small groan escaping his lips. "we're hungry!" he said, pouting at his brother.

[name] sighed and he rolled his eyes playfully at his brother's antics before turning around to head inside. "see you around, yoshida!" [name] called out, walking inside the house.

"see you, [name]!" yoshida replied, still smiling softly at [name] before looking at denji. "you should've told me you had such a handsome brother, denji. i feel like i've been missing out on a lot." yoshida teased before he turned around and made his own way home.

denji went bright red and almost started going off at what yoshida had said. only time would tell what denji would do to yoshida once they met at school again.

sypnosis: kishibe has a realisation about his feelings towards [name] quite late in life. (meant to be viewed as romantic.)

for most of his life, kishibe chased after lady quanxi. he had taken a liking to her early on during their partnership as devil hunters. ever since then, his younger self couldn't stop chasing after her.

but, that was of course before kishibe even realised that lady quanxi was into women - not men. he had just been blindly asking her out on dates over many years, not picking up the hints that she was putting down. so, when kishibe finally caught onto all the hints (when lady quanxi actually told him) he stopped chasing for her, and others altogether.

kishibe thought that was the end of his love life, that there was nothing more to it. with this, he decided to live a more calm, peaceful life. or, as peaceful as life could get living such a job that he had.

but, then there was [name].

[name] had been there for him always, and kishibe liked to think that he was there for [name] too.

kishibe had been supportive of [name] coming out. he had been there through their whole journey, through every bump and hill along the way. he was always there.

and, of course, [name] was there for kishibe too. he had been there, alongside kishibe, through everything. he had seen kishibe fall for lady quanxi, realise that she wasn't into men, and see kishibe start to live more comfortably by himself. however, [name] didn't know the full truth.

late in life, kishibe had managed to fall for someone. he didn't even realise it at first.

at first, there were dreams. weird dreams. dreams of living with this person forever. dreams of adopting kids with this person. dreams of loving this person. it was weird, and kishibe didn't quite fully understand it yet. he tried to play it off as normal, but all of the dreams reminded him of the way he felt for lady quanxi long ago.

then came the overthinking. kishibe started to overthink everything that he did, everything that he would do around this person. again, he didn't understand why. none of this had happened to him before around this person, so he didn't understand at all. was he falling in love again at the age of 50?

finally, the periods of avoidance washed over him. he started to avoid this person, as much as he didn't want to. something in his mind, combined with the overthinking and weird dreams, compelled him to avoid this person. it was as if some switch had been flicked inside him, making him avoid the one person he really cared about.

the person kishibe was feeling this weird about? [name]. he was falling in love with his friend. or, perhaps he had already fallen long ago? whatever it was, kishibe knew he had fallen now. there was no point in trying to avoid it.

now, kishibe found himself standing outside [name]'s apartment, a boquet of flowers in his hands. hesitantly, he knocked on the door, waiting for a response. he hoped [name] wasn't going to be too mad due to his disappearance these past few weeks.

as soon as [name] heard the knock, he stopped what he was doing and made his way to the front door. he unlocked it and stared at the man infront of him.

"kishibe? what are you doing in here?" [name] asked, raising an eyebrow. "with flowers too.. this is a surprise. are you apologising to me after avoiding me for so long? after how many years of being friends?" [name] continued, a small laugh falling from his lips.

kishibe cleared his throat and stepped inside, still a little hesitant and tense by everything going on. "we need to talk.. and yes, these are for you." the man says, handing the flowers to [name] which [name] gladly took before placing into a watered vase.

"are you going to explain why you've been avoiding me?" [name] quipped, a teasing smirk on his lips as he looked over at kishibe. although the two were reaching their 50s, they still did manage to get onto eachothers nerves - just like teenagers.

kishibe sighed and his lips pierced into a straight line as he looked at [name] who was arranging the flowers. "that's partly the reason why i'm here, yes." he says in response, making his way over to stand near [name]. "i've just been feeling conflicted is all. i've been thinking about someone too much, and honestly i think i've fallen in love at my old age." kishibe admits.

in response, [name] laughs a little before he looks over at kishibe. it's as if he doesn't believe the other man at all. but, he then realises that kishibe is the most serious man he's met so he stops laughing. "oh? well, do enlighten me more." [name] hummed.

"would you like to go on a date sometime, [name]?" kishibe asked, the question easily rolling off of his tongue, as if he's asked it a million times before.

[name] looks a bit confused. he doesn't understand. he knows kishibe is a serious man, but he's not really sure if his friend is being serious right now.

"me? you want to go on a date with me?" [name] starts, trying to wrap his head around the question kishibe posed to him. "i'm not even a woman, i'm not even a 'real man' either. why would you ask me?" [name] continues to ask, still confused about the situation.

to shut him up, kishibe presses a light kiss to [name]'s lips as he holds the other man's face in his hands. once he pulls away, he looks into [name]'s eyes and it's clear that there's love behind them. no malice, no lies, no hatred. just pure love.

"i don't care if you're not a woman, you're a man. a man i care about a lot and am honoured to call me friend." kishibe whispers softly, leaning in to give [name] a kiss on the forehead. it's all tender and full of love. [name] understands now. "however, i'd wish to be more than friends. i want to take you out on a date first."

"of course," [name] responds as soon as kishibe finishes speaking. his head is nodding so fast that it seems his neck might snap off, but kishibe wouldn't like that at all. "i'm sorry, i just thought you wouldn't like me at all. i always thought you were just into quanxi.." [name] sighed, shaking his head as a small frown formed on his lips at the thought.

kishibe shook his head too, pressing another kiss to [name]'s forehead. "that's all changed now, [name]. you are the one in my heart. man, woman, anything in between.. i want you and only you." he whispers softly, holding the other man close to him. [name]'s frown is replaced with a smile, and he lets his own arms wrap around kishibe. "i'll take you up on that date offer then." [name] whispers back.

denji was always a fan of women and everything about them. he wasn't necessarily quiet about his preferences either. everyone knew about them. power did, aki did, yoshida probably does and asa too.

however, nobody expected denji to fall for a man, let alone one of his close friends. denji, the one who always talked about wanting to feel a woman, was now making goo-goo eyes at a man. it was unusual.

denji always reassured his friends (asa and yoshida) that he didn't actually like [name]. yet, they could see past him and his lies. they knew that denji was completely infatuated by [name] and no amount of 'no homo's was going to clear that off the fiend's name.

denji was walking about town with [name]. they usually spent their time doing such with their friends after school or when nothing was happening. however, fate seemed to be on denji's side. even if denji didn't want to believe that.

[name] and denji were alone. asa and yoshida had bailed on the two earlier, making weak excuses just to not go with them. of course, they did it all on purpose. they weren't going to tell [name] and denji though, it would ruin all of the fun and suspense.

the two men continued walking, their hands occasionally brushing against eachother as they walked past the busy crowds.

denji wanted to hold [name]'s hand. he wanted to hold it in his own hand and squeeze it. he wanted to feel how soft [name]'s hand would feel in his own, or how calloused it felt. denji wanted to swing his hand, in turn swinging [name]'s as they walked.

but, it wasn't gay right? it was normal to want to hold your friends hand, of course it was. denji had done that with power many times before, so it wasn't romantic or anything.

yet why did it feel so different when denji was facing [name]? why was his heart fluttering? why was his mind racing? he wasn't gay, and he didn't like [name].

eventually, the two settled down at a cafe. it was just the two of them, settling down for a meal to discuss.

but why did this feel like something else? denji felt like he was going on a date, like the time he had gotten reze some flowers on a date. it felt like he was on a date, with his friend.

denji wasn't gay though. of course he wasn't - he couldn't be. he loved women, he was quite the enjoyer. he felt nothing towards men compared to how he felt towards women.

but everything still felt different. denji's palms felt sweaty as he sat down across [name]. he felt his throat going dry too, so he immediately ordered an orange juice to soothe his thirst.

it didn't help though. nothing seemed to be helping when denji was around [name] and he couldn't stand it.

[name] then ordered for himself and for denji. being friends for a while meant that [name] knew stuff. [name] knew the food denji liked, the manga that he would read (or at least tried to), and the fact that denji was chainsaw man.

denji's whole body went hot when he realised this. he realised how much [name] knew about him and it honestly felt scary. were friends meant to know so much about eachother? of course they were, but everything felt so different and scary when denji was with [name].

if asa and yoshida were here, denji wouldn't have to be stuck in this situation. stuck being alone with [name].

once the food arrived, denji immediately tucked in. [name] had ordered him a cake, similar to the one denji had recieved when he first went to a cafe with yoshida. it was sweet, moist and overall perfection. denji couldn't help but want to scarf it down immediately.

"could i have a taste?" [name] asked denji, a small, innocent smile on his lips that made denji's whole body stiffen.

lips.. [name]'s lips. denji wanted to kiss them so badly. he wanted to feel [name]'s lips on his own and see how they'd melt into eachother. he wanted to see how their lips fit into eachother. he wanted to see how perfect they were together.

denji wasn't gay though. he shook away his thoughts by thinking a simple "no homo", something asa despised hearing from denji. she knew the truth that denji was constantly hiding from, and so did yoshida.

"oh.. sure.." denji smiled back at [name]. he took a fork, to be somewhat civilised and not to feed [name] with his hand. he put the fork into the cake and took a piece before feeding it to [name], his hand under the fork to make sure it wouldn't drop the cake before [name] could even get a taste.

wait.. feeding [name]? denji's brain was working on autopilot. he couldn't believe he had just done that. he had just fed [name] a piece of his cake. the cake that he was eating. the cake that he was shoveling down his throat with his bare hands. denji thought he was going to faint because of how hot the room suddenly felt..

[name] wasn't opposed to denji feeding him the cake. although he wasn't expecting it, he certainly didn't mind it. it was like a new change of pace for once in his entire friendship with denji. he wouldn't mind more changes in the future wither.

[name] finished the small piece with a hum, smiling at how good the piece tasted. was it better because denji fed it to him? nobody would know, only [name]

denji the looked away, embarrassed by his actions. he had just fed his friend a piece of his cake.. his mind was still on that.

and of course, denji's mind went into autopilot again as he continued to think about [name].

denji started to eat the cake with the fork, not even his own hands now. he was eating with the same fork that was in [name]'s mouth a few seconds ago. the same fork that he had just used to feed [name]. it was like an indirect kissA

the poor blonde yelped and he dropped his fork onto the table, hiding his face in embarrassment.

denji wasn't gay. he was just doing stuff that friends would do with their friends regularly. but why was his heart fluttering? why was his mind racing? why was his throat suddenly closed up and dried? why, why, why?

The Anomaly is an amazing Into the Spiderverse fic that really goes into Miles character and how giving up; doing everything in your power to prevent something and then it happens anyways, can destroy you and change your perspective. And on the other side how choices can make you regret them.

Bound by a Promise to the Moon is an Avengers work that is focused on characters and relationships between people who have drifted apart. It is IronStrange but nothing in your face for the most part 💀 you can skip those parts if you don't like it😁. It really is worth the read though.

Crossovers

Gaming Spider is a MCU fic that is Peter-centric but be warned because they dropped 8 chapters on the same day in 2022 and haven't updated since. It's so entertaining because Peter just has the Gamer Power (basically Litrpg elements) and grows increasingly stronger after every encounter, and the plot makes sense and isn't only based on the system.

All of the heroes and all of the men, couldn’t save Tommy from getting kidnapped again is such a bias rec on my part, I like crossovers that are done correctly and I was a mcyt and dsmp follower (not really watcher, I can't commit to anything) and this is a story changed by the characters, where the original plot is nothing but a memory to help character development. God I love character development.

BNHA

🐐Parallax is a BNHA fic that is SI and I KNOW BUT HERE ME OUT is basically like if Todoroki was haunted by a physics loving astronomer that made him feel more like someone else, but still kept a lot of what makes him, him. It's so good, like touched me so deeply that I have a hard time explaining it.

A Study In Deceit is a BNHA fic (I know) that is SO FUNNY, basically Bakugou is BBC's Sherlock, but has hid it for all his life, he does cases on the side and turns them in anonymously to the police. It's really good if you're looking for Todoroki and Bakugou friendship.

Foresight now this, this is crack. Want a BNHA fic that speeds through the story in ways that are so funny? Want someone doing something without a clue why? READ THIS. If you know the plot of BNHA it's sometimes easy to guess why he's doing what he's doing but the reactions of other characters is sooo good.

RONIN, ronin, ronin, ronin. This thing is the best ever, BNHA, op Midoriya but now you might be scrolling past, but... It's SO GOOD, BOHB_STEVENS IS A GENIUS this fic was made to practice fighting and ohhhhh did they get plently of practice. If you like fighting scenes that are descriptive, easy to understand, and EXHILARATING read this.

Magneto is an amazingly different BNHA SI fic, where really the story stays the same but I'm a simple person and slice of life interactions can be just as fun as fighting and complicated story telling (the storytelling is good btw) . I think I you want a little angst mixed with mostly good times and crack you should read this.

Pinwheel Eyes is a BNHA if Midoriya had a quirk. But once again the story is original they aren't afraid to make unpopular decisions to keep realism, and he has to win to keep people alive, not just have plot armor. I think if you want amazing fights and to be surprised over and over with how good this is you should read it

Crossovers

Si Vis Pacem is a BNHA/John Wick fic where John Wick (would it be SI?) is reincarnated into Midoriya, and it's pretty good, ngl it updates like 3 times a year so it's been a minute since I've read it, but I remember really liking it.

Be Careful What You Ask Your God is a BNHA and Chainsaw Man crossover where once again (I know I said it wasn't the norm) the characters are the story, here they took a different approach and didn't even focus on the main characters of BNHA and just how the mc's of chainsaw man would live in that world, but the LORE (matpat😭) is interesting.

Harry Potter

Porcupine Quills & Potion Spills A Harry Potter (Snape-centric) work. This fic is pretty good, but it's not TOP top tier. The reason it's here is because I've been looking for another fic that has this same idea but none have done it this certain way and I really like the idea. Now it is on Hiatus but its only been a few months, so they'll probably be back (man I hope so).

A Wand for Skitter is a Harry Potter and Worm crossover (if you haven't read worm and appreciate modern sci-fi/eldritch original works you should read it) but the characters are amazing, nothing seems cheap and the ending, THE ENDING it was so good.

Stranger Things

I really didn't mean to hurt anyone is a Stranger Things story that had Steve as Seven. The choices with the way the story is going makes sense and again the characters are so well written. His powers are original and make the story even better and even gets him into some unsavory situations.

The Saga of Tanya the Evil

The Chronicles of Tanya the Fuehrer is another Tanya fic where it's after the war ends, the beginning is amazing, she does get a bit ooc in some parts but other than that the story itself is so entertaining and how they describe things and paint a picture is so beautiful.

Weapon Reforged is something everyone should experience even if they don't know the fandom (I'm not even gonna say it but don't be pushed off once you see it because the story is original and uses characters simple traits to build new ones off of) it's an amazing work of art that is near and dear to me in a big way, it hasnt updated since 2021 but you have to, HAVE TO read this.

Blue Lock

A Child's Dream is a Blue Lock fic that is the only reasonabley lengthed fic that isn't slash that I have found. Theres a lot of simping for Isagi but that's normal enough. The development is interesting and keeps you engaged and the interactions are funny and so out of left pocket most of the time.

Déjà Vu is a Blue Lock fic that is probably abandoned, but the idea and execution make up for it, it's also short so don't worry about slogging through 100,000 words then figuring out it's abandoned. It's kind of crack-like but more serious than you would expect.

Miraculous Ladybug

(pockets full of) Stones is a Miraculous Ladybug one shot that is somewhat tear inducing and very realistic. Want a AroAce Adrien Agreste? READ THIS

What Are Your Fav to Least Fav Chainsaw Man Endings?

Disclaimer: I think every ending ranges from good to masterpiece. I’m basing my ranks on how much I like the song and visuals. 

12. Ending 7; “All Kinds of Kisses” by ano

This song is not for me. When it comes to songs with high-pitched singing, I mostly don’t like it. It’s a bit too cutesy and usually stay the same throughout the whole thing. I think the singer is talented but I don’t think her music is for me. There are moments when I like the song such as near the end. The song’s beat is good and I can jam to it. 

The old video game concept was a nice idea and it was fun seeing Chainsaw Denji walking around like an NPC and interacting with other characters. The visuals afterwards are okay. I don’t have strong feelings seeing the female characters is provocative positions so I can take it or leave it. The vomiting scene on the other hand made me uncomfortable. It’s not as bad as in the show but vomiting makes me really uncomfortable even when it’s censored. 

11. Ending 12; “Fight Song” by Eve 

I think my expectations with Eve kind of messed with my enjoyment of the song. With Eve doing the 1st opening for Jujutsu Kaisen, I expected a lot from Eve and, unfortunately, I was underwhelmed. The song is good and I would listen to it once in a while, yet “Fight Song” sounds more generic compared to the uniqueness of most endings. The vocals and instruments are still good. 

Visuals are sweet since we needed a chill ending with the main cast hanging out. Although the visuals are kind of like every anime ending, I appreciate the concept of a fun time. I would say my favorite part is seeing how the main three grew into a family after a rocky start in the beginning of the show. 

10. Ending 4; “Tablet” by Tooboe 

The song fits Power’s chaotic energy very well, but it’s not a song I really like without the show connection. The screaming sections are really unique and cool to listen to. However, in my opinion, the song isn’t as successful with not having an interesting bridge as “Rendevous” by Kanaria. It’s still a fun song and I do have urges to listen to it once in a while.

Seeing Power in different outfits was cute, and the costumes are pretty stylish, but that’s the only thing I really enjoy about the visuals. I don’t care for anime dances so Power dancing didn’t do much for me, and the simplicity of what’s occurring is kind of boring. Though, I really like the sketching style was a cool idea. 

9. Ending 11; “Violence” by Queen Bee

This song is a fun listen! Queen Bee have a unique vocalist who makes the song for me. The guitar is really good but it’s not particularly unique like most Chainsaw Man endings. It’s a bit poppy but I think it fits since it has some rock elements in the vocals and guitar. 

The visuals are cool. I really like the characters dissolving to add an interesting transition for the next scene. The glass fragments are nice to look at and adds something interesting to the skyline. Though, I don’t like the Power dancing part since the 3D looked a bit off but I think my bias on 2D animation is getting in the way. 

8. Ending 5; “In the Backroom” by Syudou 

It took me a while for me to like this song, probably because the beat felt a bit random at some points and I have trouble liking songs that don’t have a recognizable beat. Though, the vocals were great, especially when he did that half scream and started showing more of their vocal talent. I grew to really like the beat and interesting additions like the similar snapping and bell noises. 

Visuals were a bit too random and it’s hard to feel attachment to them since I didn’t understand the concept idea for it. They are still great though. My favorite moments were the agents walking continuous stairs, the two Makimas looking like a god, and the ending where every characters appears but ends with Denji. 

7.  Ending 10; “Dogland” by People 1 

This song is nice but I don’t get excited about it  until the bridge when the vocalist is letting loose. The ending cares “Dogland” for me. I do like the part when Denji says “Bow Wow” because of his comparison to a dog. 

The visuals and meaning behind the ending carries its ranking. Throughout the show, Denji is constantly compared to a dog and having an opening dedicated to that was a smart idea. Animating Denji with real objects filmed through rotoscope was super cool and looked natural. MAPPA did a great job as always! I also have a bias towards dogs.  

6. Ending 6; “Rendevous” by Kanaria 

The song is really good though it’s not as high since the song stays at the same level throughout the whole ending. The vocalist has a recognizable voice and the music composition is so well done that you can’t help but tap your feet to the beat. 

Labyrinths always interested me so I really enjoyed the visuals and constant looping through it. When it comes to visuals, I like feeling like I’m traveling through the setting and this opening did a great job doing it. The close up to Denji’s chainsaw form was so cool and the touch of red made it pop. 

5. Ending 2; “Time Left” by Zutomayo 

The bass at the beginning is a nice touch to the softer vocals so the song doesn’t deviate too far from Chainsaw Man’s edgy theme. My favorite parts is the bridge since the vocals and instruments ramp up and the ending when the vocalists heightens her voice in some parts(Sorry don’t know singing terms). 

I really like the sketching style of the visuals. It feels like I’m watching a manga come to life. Seeing the main cast in individual moments was nice since we get to see how different their lives are from each other. My favorite visual is Denji falling from the sky. It’s so smooth and seeing his pov made me feel like I was falling. 

4. Ending 1; “Chainsaw Blood” by Vaundy 

This is a great start to the ending fest!

I don’t have a lot to say about this song other than I enjoy the bada** feeling it gives when I listen to it and the slow “oooh, oooh” moments are a good ramp up to the song. Great song for people who like softer rock, which I usually prefer.

Visuals are really good. My favorite parts are seeing Denji rip apart the zombies during the bridge and the Denji/Pochita moments since they remind me of me and my dog. 

3. Ending 3; “Hawatari Nioku Centi” by Maximum the Hormone

I’m not a big rock fan yet I really enjoy this opening. I feel like such a bada** whenever I hear the beginning- my favorite part- and the switch up with the slow moment was so well-done. The ending with the guy revving up his voice like a chainsaw was a great touch. It’s not higher-up because I don’t love the middle section of the ending compared to the beginning and ending. Super chaotic moments aren’t my cup of tea. 

Love the red lighting and neon coloring! It makes everything pop; I would have them as a poster for my room. I also really like the choice of having Makima looking like a benevolent goddess since that’s how Denji views her. 

2. Ending 9; “Deep Down” by Aimer

This song is so different from all the others, but it works so well. Aimer has such a hauntingly beautiful voice and the softness of the instruments are welcoming after almost every ending are loud and pack a punch. 

The visuals are also simplistic with a black background with blood and organs morphing into different images. This ending made me appreciate the animation more since I see the imagery slowing changing. It’s so satisfying. 

1. Ending 8; “First Death” by T.K. from Ling tosite sigure

I love this song! T.K is one of my favorite artists! He has such a unique voice and hearing his voice mix well with more rock influenced music. I’m used to listening to his more slower music so I was pleasantly surprised that “First Death wasn’t like this. 

The visuals aren’t super unique like most other endings but the lighting is breathtaking and the more action packed moments near the end make it up for me. I’m also more partial towards Aki and Himeno since I really like their characters.
