The thing with the crossed out pictures is like. It’s such a SPECIFIC way to portray Blitz’s self hatred. It’s not really unusual for media to show negative self worth through photos, but often it’ll be a character who insists on always staying behind the camera, or hides and won’t smile in pictures.
Blitz isn’t like that at all. He initiates selfies with his loved ones, grinning and putting his arm around them and having the time of his life. He prints them out, finds a nice frame and dedicates time to hang them from the wall of his apartment—all for himself, because there’s no reason anyone would have asked him to. He spends time on this.
And then, when he’s alone, he gets the Self Harm Itch. The urge to scribble himself out because he needs to do SOMETHING. He doesn’t cut the pictures, or throw them away, to remove himself entirely. He needs them up there, and WANTS to be there with them. But in those moments, he can’t believe he’s worthy of it, can’t stand to see his own face. And then he’s left with the consequences.
And all of this is just shown through images in the background! He’s never even brought it up but we can see it! We know! It drives me insane (positive)
Stolas' Future Character Arc
So one of the common criticisms I've seen regarding Stolas is the fact that after his one month apart from Blitz, we've never actively seen him grow and change for the better the same way Blitz has.
He still has these classist tendencies, he still has no friends, and he still has his head up in the clouds when we see him again in Mastermind.
I noticed that some people are rather confused by this because it's so different from what we've initially seen of him from the beginning of Season 2. And I think it's because people seem to doubt the pivotal role Blitz plays in Stolas' development as a character.
But here's the thing....
Stolas' #1 flaw has always been his general lack of awareness. Stolas isn't aware of his faults the same way Blitz is, and Blitz, as we know, is extremely aware of his faults.
People need to remember that what made Stolas begin to change as a character, to make him want to fix these flaws presented in their relationship was Blitz...
What Blitz does in Ozzie's is that he destroys Stolas' perceptions of what he thinks their relationship is: "Stolas don't act like what we have is anything but YOU wanting me to fuck you, okay, you make that really clear all the time."
And it's these words that spur Stolas to go on this grand quest to fix the very nature of their relationship.
The same way Stolas plays an active part in Blitz wanting to change and do better as a person, Blitz plays that same active role in Stolas' life as well.
Stolas makes it very clear that he looks to Blitz as a guiding light: "Maybe there's something for us to gleam, for you to teach and for me to try to learn."
And that's what Blitz is doing right now...
Blitz is supposed to be the guiding light that will help Stolas navigate his new way of life as a commoner. Remember, now that Stolas is with Blitz, he doesn't just have the lizard he's been pining for the entirety of Season 2, he has his new found family as well.
Stolas has yet to start his full character journey, and people need to understand that. These idiots are meant to grow together. That's the beauty of Stolitz, they're meant to be a couple that grow together.
My dudes, these idiots have spent the majority of Season 2 apart. I need to see them actually talking and hanging out, and improving as people and as a couple together. Please...
I just need to yell about this moment here.
Millie, my girl Mills, bff, absolute queen! She was gonna keep looking at Blitz until he closed his eyes, she wasn’t gonna let him feel alone in this, not ever again. She couldn’t hold his hand, but she could give him the comfort of eye contact until the end, and my gosh, she’s so strong for that! (Not shitting on Moxxie and Loona here! Their not wanting to look is totally valid! Totally a normal response to such a thing!)
You can tell how thankful Blitz is to have someone to look at in the eyes one last time, as he says that he loves his found family. I just love how she wasn’t gonna let him ever go alone, she gave him the only comfort she could from where she was chained, and he appreciated that, so, so much! It’s all over his face here. (Imo)

realism of relationships in stolitz
I really appreciate the realness these characters have. The deal itself isn’t realistic other than something similar to fwb but the show allowing us to see why these characters act the way they do and how it changes how they see themselves and the world and their misunderstanding of each others words due to that (it’s inevitability) is so raw and real. I love how they’re getting space. Always liked stolitz but they never really knew each other, got to see and understand who the other really was so how could they have anything more than a crush on each other? It’s like since the fight they’ve started to interact with the real versions of each other that their pedestals of each other haven’t allowed. Not to mention the fact that the basis of the relationship IS really bad.
I especially love this about stolitz because you never see that ‘crushes and incorrect perceptions of each other to real feelings to dating’ progression in media. Or at least if not dating, understanding and growing from the experience. In my experience, lots of situationships or things that can develop into relationships don’t have this linear ‘they like each other then they date’ progression. Instead, like stolitz, it’s everything’s the same except for some key moments. In stolitz these are

and these key moments need to be remembered to view the relationship holistically and ask “does this person have good intentions towards me?” or “do we work well as a couple?” “Is it worth staying together or making something more out of this?” etc
TO CONCLUDE
I like how real it is. I guess often relationships are smooth crushes that develop into something more real, but the reality for a lot of people is that at least before they sort out most of their issues, their relationships are probably going to be full of misunderstanding and miscommunication and pedestals like this. I hope the show deals with this concept well to set an example for people like me who have felt this way. LMK if you agree or your thoughts !

one of my personal favorite tropes it’s the “well, we are really close and get along pretty well! they’re one of the best people in the world and one of my best friends. I love how he and Blitz made up after a long time, even though I thought it was kinda quickly (or maybe i was just way too anxious and excited about my hyperfixation getting a new episode). I loved to see Blitzo getting to fix his mistakes and apologizing. I loved seeing him and fizzy talking and making jokes and arguing bc they’re so goddamn funny and have so much connection! Their friendship got my heart warm :]
I was a bit heartbroken about Stolas and how worried he was about his situation with Blitz. but I’m happy he seems to have a friend who will help him a bit and seems he can count on!

overall i REALLY loved this episode! Helluva Boss’s have been one of my hyperfixations and helped me through some really hard times. dunno if this is normal but i but i got so happy and excited about my hyperfixation having new content i actually got depressed and needed to take some SOS and go for a walk???? helloooo whatever the GAD and Depression are doing to me this is one of the craziest.
I get really REALLY insecure with talking about Helluva Boss on my socials and with anyone in general since i know the creator of it has some bad reputation and did really shitty things and the Hazbin Hotel series is pretty much hated for what i can see.
yeah i was afraid of what people would think about me if i tell them i hyperfixate on Helluva Boss and worried if they would thought i agree with any of the bad stuff that goes behind the creator and stuff.

just wanted to thank for the feedback!!! wow i truly wasn’t expecting that much !!!!! and thanks @damndroid for noticing!!! I noticed that barbie’s hair had a shape that resembled her horns, and didn’t got any of her horn’s colors on her design so i applied that on blitz!! i see a lot of his human headcanons having white strings of hair (i’ve draw him like that myself) but i doubt he would have that!! idk i got really excited thx again anyway!!!! :>
