February 22, 2024 - A chitinous Dunmeri-style outfit I designed by mashing various elements of Morrowind concept art together.
The various TES III: Morrowind concept art I used as inspiration/design reference.

I LOVE CASTLEVANIA SO FUCKING MUCH
"im going to live" fuuuck I love castelvania so much
like imagine: Streams of fire and light danced toward his opponent in dazzling displays. But the heat could not touch the dark figure. Steadily it approached, uncaring. All while the lizard mage continued his desperate onslaught of magic. His body grew colder with every cast, his limbs more sluggish, but he had to buy his companions time to escape. He'd gotten them into his mess, and he couldn't let them down. And so, he let out final defiant hiss, and the ground began to shake.
Okay but lizard wizards actually go crazy when you think about it cause like lizards bask in the sun to maintain their temperature and wizards are known to meditate in order to restore their spell slots/focus their wills so you could absolutely combine those two concepts together. Oh, and also most lizards are territorial, and you could absolutely play that off as a young wizard lizard not wanting people wandering into his tower while he conducts his magic and studies the ancient arts. I'm sure you people get me there's just such an odd amount of parallel between the habits of wizards and the mannerisms of lizards... And they even rhyme!

I drew a few ghouls and cadavers
I made a vent character, here is a WIP of what he looks like. I got really tired of not making anything, so I finally let myself flow for once, putting down whatever thoughts that happened to be floating around my head. As it turns out, the only thoughts were "wizard lizard", so that's what I'm making.
Man wizards are so cool I just wanna write a bunch of stories about wizards that do cool magic and they all hate each other but I hate writing

any games where I can play as a lizard guy?
this is actually dope as hell
I made some convo things with Storm, as if they were a real NPC in-game!
This one is from when Storm and Toru first met :D and is naturally from the perspective of Toru.
Storm was on their way to the next town to actually pick up more supplies (like health potions) as they had run out on their travels, but got distracted by a bear and they wanted to draw it, as they like drawing things they come across! Though they had clearly gotten too close for the bears likely and they promptly got attacked by said bear, getting some nasty claw wounds and even getting bitten on their leg and wing. They do eventually manage to get away but they only make it a short distance into Corrib Valley were they collapse and are left injured and can't really get much further because of their injuries.
This all takes place well before even the first Chapter of the game occurs, so they aren't all that strong right now.
Toru then stops for them and helps to heal them with some healing magic :3
I imagine that a few Tuatha de Dananns think that Milletians are more hardy than they are (Which is kinda true in most cases tbf? But that doesn't mean they don't get injured, y'know?) so the few Tuatha de Dananns that passed by Storm either didn't have any potions/know any healing spells, or some more callous Tuatha de Dananns probably thought that they'd be fine and were just being dramatic about their injuries so they just passed by the Milletian.
Personally, I know that a lot of Tuatha de Dananns would have absolutely helped them out lol I just think they they had some bad luck with the kinds of people that were passing by hskfshfkshf cuz Corrib Valley is a rather quiet area as it is, the only people passing through would be travelling between Taillteann and Tara. So it wasn't like they were ignored by a whole bunch of Tuatha de Dananns lol maybe like 3 at most I'd imagine, before Toru helps them.
Kamen Rock-joint
He's this old mage im writing a book about, the initial inspiration was just "Gandalf but evil". He's basically just this old man with a really bad reputation. He loved fighting, and used basically any excuse he could in order to challenge people to duels and then kill them in the nastiest ways he could think up. Eventually he got exiled, and the decade he spent in a barren land has allowed him to grow as a person. Unfortunately, he discovers that his crimes will not leave him when and a cult of desperate people showed up and tried to kill him. This causes him to break his exile in order to hunt down an old enemy and finally kill him.
Alright yeah time to lore dump about my magic system. So basically, it's a bit of a mix of biology, psychology. Magic lets you do anything that YOU believe you can do. As long as you can imagine it, and believe it to be real, it will be real. Massive explosions or subtle shifts in energy can happen as fast as thought. However, there are a few limitations, and that's mostly where the science part comes in. Energy is drained from your body's cells whenever you do magic, and the amount drained is directly related to the task you preformed. At First it draws energy from the fat stored in your body, but if you were casting a really powerful fucking spell, then it just keeps pulling the chemical energy from your cells until all that's left of you is a pile of dust.
Changing the energy's form into things like heat or light are easy, turning energy into matter is much harder, and altering the energy withing living things is the most difficult. People who are smarter than me would probably pick up on the fact that the system wouldn't allow you to do too much in a short time, despite the fact that you can alter reality as quick as you can think. Your body only has so much energy in it, and at best you'd be able to do three D&D style cantrips before burning yourself out. So luckily, there are a couple in-universe work arounds that make the impossible possible.
The main one is your standard focus, you know, magically pouring your energy into an inorganic object for later use. It can be a long process, but it's the cleanest way to build power for more complex casts. Over in the west they rely on catalyst to cast spells, sacrificing something of cultural importance such as blood or a specific flower, then drawing the energy out of the scraps in order to cut down on the cost of certain effects. There are also a few spells that require certain actions or special items in order to work. An easy example would be an effigy of a person that you must make yourself in order to use tracking magic on someone. Limitations like these have been put in place after centuries of collective belief and can differ from group to group.
There's also a strange side effect, a phenomenon that has stumped the world's best scholars. Seemingly randomly, an invisible force will carve a rune into your body after you've used magic. As these marks begin to form, most people describe feeling a cold pressure, as if frozen hands were pressing into their flesh. But once the carving finishes, the resulting carving always radiates a feeling of warmth, no matter how cold the surrounding air may be. Terrible mages have ended up with intricate patterns, while one of the best mages in history only ever got strange holes that shot through her body. Most cultures treat the carvings as a status symbol, the more marks, the stronger the mage.
I recorded my first time hitting an elite shadow mission, but the recording stopped after 4 minutes, the final fight was super fun too : (
I cant remember if ive ever talked about his lore or anything so uh here are some ideas I've had floating around:
I've always imagined him as a well-spoken noble type character, but he just absolutely hates people, like straight up despises every person he's ever talked to. And you just know his ass cannot stand politics! In my head, he used his education and wealth to become an adventurer as soon as possible, completely cutting off his family. But he can't quite escape the life he was born into. People recognize him everywhere he goes, and he still spends money like a noble as well. Those bad spending habits have him living quest to quest in order to survive, but honestly, he wouldn't have it any other way. Starving on the street is a far better fate than nobility.
