Kai: You always act like you're more superior than me!
Nya: "Superior" has no comparison degree. It already means "better" and you can't say "more better".
Kai: I rest my case.
So I started reading the new "Journey to the West" translation for reference and this bit almost killed me:
Nezha's baby face belied his powers as a warrior; he was extraordinary agile - able to fly, leap and transform at will - and was armed, moreover, with six magic weapons.
"Who's this dumpling?" Monkey asked. "What business do you have with me?"
"Monstrous monkey!" shouted Nezha. "How dare you not recognize me? For I am Prince Nezha, third son of Heavenly King Li. I am here on the orders of the Jade Emperor to capture you."
This made Monkey laugh a good deal. "Does your mother know you're out, little princeykins? How many baby teeth have you lost already? I'll spare you this time for the sake of your adorable chubby cheeks."
I mean no wonder he's so pissed all the time; this also perfectly explains his relationship with Wukong.
I think the ultimate RGB siblings angst AU is one where Nya stayed with the ocean and Lloyd ended up outliving all the others thanks to his oni/dragon heritage. Zane might turn off his memories again, or maybe his life force isn't permanent either, or idk. The point is, Lloyd is left on his own, and centuries of grief later he makes a desperate attempt to reconnect with Nya. Lloyd tries to restore her memories, telling her about Kai and the others, only to realize he doesn't remember them very well either. Their faces have now become a blur in his mind.
Lloyd and Nya bond, starting from scratch, and they slowly remember each other, then they start having distant memories about their lives on the Bounty with the original four and Master Wu.
At this point in time, most of Ninjago forgot their names and only remember them as old and vague legendary figures. After losing his friends, Lloyd finally embraced his oni form as a way to distance himself from the rest of Ninjago. Nya had also become wilder after living for so long as a giant water dragon. They're all alone in the world now, and they only have each other or what's left of them and who they used to be.
Thank you!
He was treated for both of these at Saint Joseph's Hospital in East Jerusalem at about 11 months old however there were complications, the wound reopened and they had to go back in to fix that. Unfortunately the surgical team didn't have the experience with these particular conditions or the resources to really help Feras and despite best efforts made his condition worse.
*The above is a summary of what is explained in the campaign as well as what was explained to me by Feras' mother Israa. If you're going to look up these conditions to better understand fair warning for the images you might find. Also, there are images of Feras' state within the campaign but there is a warning before you scroll that far.*
Feras has multiple medical conditions including a heart defect as well. This baby has been suffering since birth, HE NEEDS TO BE TREATED OUTSIDE OF PALESTINE. And given the surgeries and reconstruction needed, treatment needs to happen while Feras is still young for the best chance of a decent quality of life.
I think it's mostly because Perry is technically paid to visit Doofenshmirtz every day and listen to his evil plans. Yeah, I doubt OWCA expects Perry to provide actual comfort or support for his nemesis, which he does anyway, but it's still his job to stop Doofenshmirtz by whichever means he sees fit. Perry knows when to use force and when to use empathy and that's why I always loved his character.
People who have the "Perry the Platypus is Doofenshmirtz' therapist" headcanon , Do you never had a friend that you think therapists are the only people who listen to you? So fucking sad...
Sora: So, Master Lloyd, do you have a crush on anyone?
Lloyd: The only crush I have is this crushing anxiety.
I think it's okay to headcanon Lloyd as asexual or aromantic even though he has been given a "romantic interest".
Just looking at this scene, the pure distress on his face, the way he jumps back as though her touch burnt him, his funny walking away as if stepping on glass.
I'm sorry, but in no way is this: "Oh, look at him, how cute! He's shy!" No, if that were the case the creators most probably would have given in to the classical anime urge of making him blush or at least have a tiny smile when he turned around and she could no longer see his face.
But Lloyd looks utterly uncomfortable all the way through.
Even Harumi seems to have learned her lesson.
A kiss on the cheek is definitely less assuming and a more universal display of affection. It also doesn't need to be reciprocated, so it is instantly more comfortable and accessible.
Now it might be that Lloyd is looking for a different kind of relationship with Harumi, other than his friendship with Skylor or the brother-sister bond he has with Nya. But I think it's something more like a Soulmate which can really mean a variety of things.
One reason I love Akita so much is that she knew straight away how to approach him.
My most controversial Ninjago theory to this day is that season 1 Lloyd was wearing a black sweatshirt and a hooded cape, not a hoodie. I mean look at that collar with the green stitches. That's not what a hoodie collar looks like. And how do you attach a cape to a hoodie? I feel like most people forget the cape.
Sure, he'll look like a walking Halloween Day of the Departed decoration, but let's not forget where he came from. I bet Darkley's had a bunch of those just laying around
