You have to start in the neutral, with statements like “I am a person” or “this is what I made today,” or finding tiny things you like about yourself, like your eyes or your music taste or the way you leave long comments on fan fiction or how you can always get dogs to trust you.

*putting tea leaves in the tea pot* of course you do, that’s human nature, and healing isn’t linear. Don’t put yourself down about that imperfection either, just decide to try again tomorrow.
