you know what ninjago ToE should have given us? a full, real, fight between jay and cole. I love what they did, dont get me wrong, but hear me out.

What if lloyd and kai werent only so desperate to stop their brothers from fighting because they dont want their brothers to fight, but also because they dont want their elements to fight.

I mean, guys, this is two elements of creation, two of the most powerful elements ever, fighting in an emotionally charged battle.

Give us the ground shaking, the arena shuddering with every blow cole hits or blocks. Give us the dust rising a few inches in response to cole’s anger. Give us cracks spreading throughout the arena like a spiderweb, threatening to cave jay in, which cole desperately closes up every time they get too close. Have there be rumbling with every step cole takes.

Give us a storm. Give us rain threatening to fall, thunder crashing with every hit jay takes as if the sky itself wants to defend him. Have everybody’s hair rising just a bit as static electricity fills the area. Have there be lightninng striking around the arena, which jay always steers away from cole. Give us lightning crackling around jays whole body, not just his hands.

Give us thunder and earth growling every time a hit connects. Give us lightning being fizzled out every time jay’s punches are met with cole. Give us glowing orange and blue eyes, glaring at eachother, hurting for eachother. Give us two stubborn elements that have always warred eachother desperately trying to stop their fate.

Give us the fight between the sky and the earth.

Thundertown looks like it could’ve been one of the coolest places in Ninjago

Oooo imagine if they made it a Jay season and explored some stuff about his birth mom and actually gave him character development (looking at you, S12) and maybe explored his powers a bit, basically Master of The Mountain, but with Jay. It would’ve been really cool, but repetitive. But cool.

And I REALLY wanna see Thundertown on screen, it’s such an awesome location

Anyone who talks about Jaya with kids and says that Nya would not be the dad and Jay would not be the mom are wrong. Full-stop.

Jay is the one driving the soccer mom minivan. He is the one who is making sure that everything is packed correctly and no, Nya, he did not play ten years worth of Tetris for you to pack the car like a fucking lunatic. Everything must be rearranged to fit in as tightly as it possibly can. The cooler must be left accessible.

Nya is also definitely the parent who passes on the responsibility of saying no.

Kid: Mama, can I eat candy for dinner?

Nya: did you ask your father?

Jay: No! You cannot have candy for dinner!

Everyone says that Jay would be the one to indulge his kids but I honestly think it would be Nya. She didn't have parents growing up, and she had to grow up really fast, so she would want her kids to have as much fun as possible when they're young.

On the other hand, Jay recognizes the gaps in his upbringing, and wants to try and be a good dad. He's old enough to recognize that a lot of the discipline his parents did was good for him and that kids need it in their lives, even if he would love to indulge them like Nya does.

So yeah, give me tired and stressed stay-at-hom soccer mom Jay who drives a minivan and loves it. Give me chill as fuck dad Nya who lets pretty much anything fly and would probably join in your shenanigans.
