But at the same time, he was kind of in denial and told himself that it was because he liked Nya so when she started to flirt with him, he went along with it, telling himself that this is what he wanted. Even if it didn't exactly feel right. Then the fight at Chen's Island happened and Cole realized he liked Jay. He wanted to tell Jay this but decided that he would be happier with Nya so Cole apologized and they became friends again, Jay never finding out that Cole actually liked him.
