Viper: I really loved drawing her- her colour pallet and expression were so fun to do. I wish we got to see more of her character, I feel like she had some wasted potential. Squid: I LOVE his design. I think it might be my favourite out of the five. I like the jewellery I added to him. He’s canonically obsessed with treasure, so I think Nautilus would eventually just give in and get him some. Also I made his pupils rectangular because I headcanon that MudWings and SeaWings under a lot of stress would have those. Just a nod to how he isn’t as shallow as he seems. Fatespeaker: I made her eyes all white to show that she has ‘foresight’. She doesn’t really. I’ll give you the option to choose whether I put that there for symbolism, or if you think she learned to roll her eyes up in her head to convince people her visions were real. Ochre: I tried to make him look bigger but it just wasn’t happening. In the end his design was pretty bland, just your average MudWing dragonet, if much grumpier. Sorry, guys. Flame: I made him pink, which I think suits him a lot. He was the first one I drew, so I like him a lot. This is before the incident with Viper, so he doesn’t have his telltale scar.

That fucking moment when you're having a William Afton kin moment and you fantasizing about murder AND having a Cassidy shift or whatever (I don't even think it's a friggin shift just thoughts or somethin lol) Like I'm still fantasizing about murder but I'm just doing that while hating William while being William at the same time. It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s… a dinosaur? Nope to all of the above. This Fossil Friday, let’s talk about pterosaurs—the first animals with bones to evolve powered flight. Though they were related to dinosaurs, pterosaurs evolved on a separate branch of the reptile family tree. They ruled the skies for more than 150 million years, evolving into dozens of different species. Some were as small as a paper airplane while others, like Pteranodon pictured here in the Museum's Hall of Late Dinosaurs circa 1940-1960, had a wingspan of more than 20 ft (6 m).

Along with other large pterosaurs, Pteranodon longiceps was first discovered in western Kansas, near a chalk formation called Monument Rocks. Today the region is dry, but at the time this species lived, about 85 million years ago, central North America was covered by a seaway. This large pterosaur likely spent its days flying over the sea. Unlike early species of pterosaurs, Pteranodon and many other Cretaceous-era species didn’t have any teeth. In fact, its genus name means “winged and toothless,” while the second name, longiceps, means “long-headed.”
