No Notes, Absolutely Perfect. Slayyyy

Not the normal togachako, fanfic, or music posts I spam by blog with but little aro rant time:

I think you either get to be one of those aromantic people who end up falling in love, or you get to be the one who's sitting there, trying to be happy while your friend talks about getting married, and all you can think is "I might lose them." You try to be happy, because marriage is happy; it's supposed to be happy. They love each other, it's a great thing, but what about you? You're making it about yourself now--their marriage, a plan for the future, something that won't happen for a long while, doesn't involve you, but you're sitting there, trying not to cry, and they're /so/ happy sounding. And it's only made worse because they're inviting you, because you're friends and they're aro too and they might understand this, but you can't find it in your heart to tell them, instead you yell into the tumblr void, because what if they think you're just being selfish and controlling and toxic and you don't want that, you don't want to end this friendship because talking to them is so fun.

I will be listening to Will Wood and directing these feelings into a togachako fic if anyone needs me lol

Nothing kills me quite like character A describing the scent of character B and one of the adjectives being "home." Like. Fuck. Damn it. My heart. Augh.

Receiving comments means so much to fic authors so we’d love to encourage people to leave more. But we appreciate that leaving comments can be a bit daunting or draining, especially on days when we are tired or already stressed. So here are a few resources to hopefully encourage us all to leave more and to make doing so easier.

Archive of Our Own floating comment boxes

There are a couple of versions of these out there and they can be helpful. They are browser extensions that allow you to keep the comment box on the screen whenever you like so that you can easily comment as you read, rather than getting to the end and panicking about what to say.

it's actually impressive how a single final chapter destroyed a yuri AND a yaoi ship in the most stale and cliche way possible while simultaneously undoing character development and a major pivotal plot point

thinking about doing something kinda stupid rn. I wanna tell my parents (who I currently depend on) that I write fanfiction, and I wanna show them, cause I don't wanna have to hide my screen and delete my history and shit anymore, but I don't know how they'll take it. Well, I think they'll be proud of me, but I don't think they'll understand the whole fanfiction part (I can hear the "you could try and get something published!" already..) or the fact that I've been doing it without telling them for years. Also also, all I write is F/F and I'm not out to them as queer so that's kinda a whole can of worms. I'm not sure. Damn yoooou funny brain chemicals telling me to seek out praise from people lmao
