A friend: I'm allergic to chocolate
Me:
Fascinating watching this website contort around the idea of reaching out to and converting far right leaning individuals as if the same 3-4 stances aren't having a do-si-do while all being able to coexist
Me: I don't get hyperfixated on fandom stuff, what are you talking about?
Also me *reads everything I can find about my favorite character and talks to everyone I can about the fandom*

This seems like it could be some sort of story... idk what but yeah π

Remus Lupin was NOT the casanova of the gryffindor tower. His friends only called him that JOKINGLY because he was friends with the girls that asked him help with their homework cause heβs nice and quiet. That man was a loser and a nerd (affectionate) with zero pull
my brain when i sit down to write: βi have no ideas.β
my brain when iβm trying to sleep: βhereβs 50 plot twists and a perfect line of dialogue.β
Hey, how are all of you doing?
So I've seen that a lot of people have a pinned post at the top with a bio and I was wondering if that was the norm?
If so, any suggestions as to what I could put on mine? Idk what I'm doing π
the mauraders fandom is just a big group project where we keep going of each other's ideas and making it bigger and bigger while all simultaneously ignoring the teachers instructions cause we hate her
I'm not going to lie, I was a little scared to say anything about this as everything has felt so hostile and explosive.
But at the same time, I feel like I would be doing a disservice to all my dear friends of the LGBTQIA+ community if I didn't say something.
What JK Rowling has been saying on Twitter is nothing short of absolutely disgusting. I hate how she has been using her platform as a famous author to spread hate and vile propaganda. She had great power, and she had absolutely abused it. JKR has proven she has no intention of changing and that she is overall a vile woman.
That being said, I don't think the fight will be won by completely ignoring what the franchise was for so many people. If you or anyone you know needs to step away from it all for awhile, then they should absolutely do that as their mental health matters! But for those of us who can, I think it's time we fight.
She has absolutely no right to say that when we read her books, we support her political views. That is not what literature or movies are for. If that were the case, there would be a ton of media we'd have taken away due to that very fact. Books and art in general are meant to inspire people. It's a medium for personal interpretation and inspiration.
So, you might ask, what's next? I say we ignore her from now on. If you haven't already, unfollow her on everything. Stop buying any new merch that she is involved in. Stop consuming any new Harry Potter media that she is involved in the creation of. And support the fans who want nothing to do with her.
If you really want Harry Potter merch, buy it second hand or from a fan-run business. Read Harry Potter fanfiction; there are so many wonderful fanfics out there written by wonderful people. Let's take back the Wizarding World and make it what it always was to us: a place of creativity and for many of us a place of community.
I will always support the fans who go on to create things that she would HATE because of her horrible viewpoints. Keep it up! Keep spreading love and positivity. One day, she'll become nothing but a footnote.
I love you all and keep fighting the good fight! π©΅

My gospel truth is the relationship between regulus and Sirius is more important to me then any of the ships.
