Ok but imagine- it's the third twp book, in the very final battle, and everyone is united at a front and ready to fight against the enemy. The original six are standing there at the front, followed by the tda and twp gang and everyone else. They are grim in face at the thought of what's ahead, but are high on the anticipation of a battle. Someone, maybe Alec or Isabelle, lean over to Jace, and say:

"This will be the end of Idris."

And he replies,

"Then it will be the noblest ending in history."
