I have to tell you how deeply this image haunts me. I feel like I have a personal relationship with this image. I keep it readily available in my files so that I can occasionally look at it and see it and remember that I didn’t make it up. There is such a complex lore attached to this image which I will freely admit to having made up entirely in my head. but I wholeheartedly believe it to be true, and on the basis of this belief my perception of the world and of Simon and Garfunkel as a duo has been fundamentally and irrevocably changed. Paul Simon was actively crossdressing in the late 50s/early 60s and Paul and Art would go out to clubs as a straight couple. This is not true. But look at that image and tell me that it’s not true.
