Prompt: Blindfolded

Part 1 | Part 2
Ruby’s memories started to come back in pieces. Curled up in her small cell she began to remember the day she went missing.
The day had started out just fine. She was walking to school when she noticed a homeless guy following her down the road. She crossed the street, and the guy followed her. Feeling nervous she started to walk faster.
Only a block till she got to the college.
She glanced behind her, and at that moment the guy started to run towards her. Startled she started running down the street.
The guy caught up to her quickly and grabbed her arm, pulling her back.
Not knowing what to do she started screaming.
In response he tightened his grip on her arm, and covered her mouth with his hand, cutting off her screams. Using her free arm, Ruby pulled at his hand over her mouth.
“Stop struggling.” He snarled pulling her back down the road towards a black car.
The driver’s door opened, and a tall man got out of the car.
“Doctor Myers, I’ve watched her for a few days, and I think she will be the best for your experiment.”
Doctor Myers stayed silent staring at Ruby. Then he nodded and motioned to the car.
The homeless guy pushed her into the back seat. Ruby scrambled to the other door and tried the handle. It was locked. Looking around for the lock her heart dropped when the homeless guy got in the car and pulled her to the middle seat. Doctor Myers got in, started the car, and they took off down the road.
“Who are you guys?” Ruby asked with a shaky voice.
Neither one answered her as they continued down the road.
Breaking the silence Ruby tried again. “Who are you guys, and where are you taking me?”
Doctor Myers glanced in the rearview mirror, and the guy sitting next to her nodded.
He reached down by his feet and pulled out a black cloth. Letting go of her arm, he quickly tied the fabric around her head covering her eyes.
Panicking she tried to reach up and take the blindfold off, but he grabbed her wrists and pulled them behind her back. Something cold wrapped around her wrists, and her heart sank. She was now blindfolded and handcuffed in the back of a car going to a place she didn’t know.
She struggled until her wrists started to hurt. She choked back a sob and sank into the seat.
They rode in silence for a long time before the car slowed to a stop, and she could hear the front door open. The guy sitting next to her pulled her out of the car and pulled the blindfold off.
She blinked in the sunlight and found that she was standing in front of a large building. Doctor Myers nodded at the homeless man, and he let go of her arm and got into the car. The car started, and he drove away.
Doctor Myers stepped closer and grabbed her arm.
“Let’s go inside. I can show you your room.”
Ruby started walking with him towards the doors. “Who are you?” she asked again.
He started laughing. The laugh that would haunt her nightmares. “My name is Doctor Myers, and I am very excited for our experiment.”
Then nothing.
Ruby sat up in her cell trying to remember what happened next. She hugged her knees and hung her head. She couldn’t remember past that point.
All she knew was Doctor Myers gave her her powers.
And it was not a pleasant experience.
And being back in his custody scared her.

Prompt: “Who are you? Show yourself!”
The job had gone wrong. It was supposed to be a small break-in. Get in, grab the artifact and leave. They had practiced it multiple times, and it had gone flawlessly. It all went wrong when they did it for real.
They had found the window, gotten into the house, and found the artifact. Or where it should have been.
“Where is it?” Chief whispered. “We’ve been watching this house for days, and no one has touched it.”
“What do we do now?” Clara asked. “Do we leave or look for it?”
Chief paced back and forth fiddling with his hair.
“Chief what do we-”
“Shh, I’m thinking.”
Clara nodded and sat down on the floor. Chief kept pacing, switching between fiddling with his hair and his belt.
Clara sat for what felt like hours before Chief stopped pacing.
“Did you hear that?”
Clara stood up. “Hear what?”
Chief didn’t respond, and they both fell silent again. The faint sound of footsteps echoed down the hall.
“We have to go. Now.” Chief grabbed Clara’s arm and took off running. They retraced their steps through the house.
Once they got to the window, both out of breath, they stopped.
“What’s going on? Who is that?” Clara knelt breathing heavily.
Chief, still holding onto her arm, pulled her up. “We have to get out of here. I’ll explain later.”
Clara nodded and opened the window. Chief let go of her arm, and she crawled out. Chief crawled out after her, and they both climbed down to the backyard.
Chief pointed to the forest that surrounded the house, Clara nodded, and they took off running.
“Clara go to the right. I’ll go to the left.”
“Why? Shouldn’t we stay together?”
“They want me. You’ll be safer if we split up.”
“Who are-“ Clara stopped. She didn’t want to leave Chief’s side he had helped her through so much, finding her on the street after her parents died and raising her like she was one of his own. Tears started to fill her eyes.
Chief grabbed her by the shoulders. “I will see you at home. I promise. I will not abandon you.”
Chief pulled her into a hug and wiped the tears from her eyes. Chief let go of her and took off running. Clara wiped her hands on her pants and ran in the opposite direction.
Clara’s lungs started to ache. Not being able to run anymore she sat down on a nearby log. She closed her eyes and focused on getting air back into her lungs.
Who was chasing them? The family that lives in the house was out of town for another week. They would have seen the family car outside and would have called the job off.
Where was the artifact? It was their ticket out of the city. Chief promised Clara that they would move to the country and live a normal life.
Her thoughts were cut off by the sound of approaching footsteps. She jumped to her feet. “Who are you? Show yourself!”
The footsteps stopped. Clara cautiously took a step towards the sound. She saw a large shadow standing in the distance. “Chief is that you?”
“Nope.” A gruff voice said. The figure started to run towards her.
She yelped and ran. The footsteps were getting closer. Clara, ignoring her screaming lungs, kept pushing forward.
She wanted Chief to be with her. He said that this guy would go after him, not her. She closed her eyes for a second pushing back the tears that were forming in her eyes. She opened her eyes and jumped over a log. She almost cleared it, but her back foot caught the edge, and she fell hard on her stomach.
She curled into a ball and tried to get her breath back. The footsteps got closer and closer until she could see black boots standing right in front of her.
“You must be the new sidekick.” A rough hand grabbed her by the hair and pulled her to her feet until she was face to face with him.
“Who are you?” Clara clawed at the hand holding her hair.
“I was the last sidekick. Until he found you and pushed me aside, now I’m going to make him pay. I thought the artifact would be enough until I saw you.” His lips parted into a wide smile. “We are going to have so much fun.”
heya! could you continue the prompt where the hero and villain had revealed their relationship to the public? im super curious as to what happens next!
Hmm, *looks back and forth between stranger and Villain with a knife in my hand* … What does happen next? Oh, OH! Yes, I has an idea.
Wait I messed up! Here’s the previous post.
Hero rushed to the hallway to find Villain rolling around the floor with a stranger, and it was clear by the pain on the Villain’s face that they were hurt, straining to keep a secondary knife from falling down onto their face.
Hero snapped. Weeks of pressure, anger, and fear finally curdled together and met their breaking point. They ran at the stranger and tackled them away from their lover. They were on top and managed to snatch the knife from their blood-soaked hands. Everything seemed to slow around them, for a terrifyingly numb moment, they were without morals. The knife went down into their right shoulder and the stranger cried out in pain. Hero twisted it relentlessly.
“Leave us alone!” Hero screamed down into their face, the final word was drawn out and as loud as they could manage. It was only after that outburst that the red curtain came away, drained out of them, and Hero realised what they’d done… how much worse it could have been. They felt a hand grab onto their arm and realised it was Villain, trying to stop them from hurting them anymore.
“It’s okay,” Villain managed, “Breathe.” As quickly as it came, it was gone. Hero threw themselves away from the stranger, trying to scamper back from the blood on their hands. The blood. The blood! They couldn’t look away, couldn’t think straight. What had they just done?!
“S.See!” The stranger stammered, “They’re turning you into a monster.”
“The only monster here is me, and you’d best get out here before I have to drag you inside and demonstrate,” Villain snapped.
The stranger dragged themselves to their feet and ran down the street as best they could.
Villain winced and tried to take a deep breath before slowly getting to their feet. Their face drooped with nausea, but their heart sank seeing Hero. They had their knees close to their body head in their hands and they were yanking at their hair. Their breathing was uneven and tears flowed freely amongst their shallow breaths and hiccups.
Tucking away their pain as best they could, Villain approached Hero and out a hand on their cheek. “It’s okay. It’s okay, shh… We’ve got CCTV if he tries to lie. It was self-defence. You can’t get in trouble for that. Deep breaths, please try to take some deep breaths.”
Villain took Hero’s bloodied hand and pressed it against their chest. They could feel Villain’s chest rising and falling, fast, but deep even breaths. The only problem was, they didn’t know how much longer they could keep it up. Their own wound was bleeding badly and the initial numbness was quickly wearing off. When the stranger had first attacked, Villain managed to swat it away, but the stranger managed to plunge it into their left side.
Hero seemed calmer, to at least have their breathing under control. “Listen, sweetheart. I really need you to keep your head. We need to go, and I’m bleeding. Can you go upstairs and get me the first aid kit and the money out of our room? Bring them back here, then ring [Henchman] for me. Ask them to drive here and get us.”
“I can’t just run away from this…” Hero moaned.
“You’re going to have to. Either way, the first aid kit, come on, focus for me.”
Hero shook themselves out of it and the severity of what they’d said clicked into place. They saw the wound on Villain’s side and suddenly rushed upstairs on all fours to get it. Villain fell back and leaned against the wall. Breathe, they reminded themselves. It looked like Hero and Villain were going to have to help each other out of this mess. And for what? All because some group of insignificant strangers decided they didn’t like the fact Villain had found someone to care about, and now they were hurting Hero.
It was pushing them far too close to Villainy again, and if they kept pushing, Villain was going to make the entire city drop to its knees in fear. They would not hurt Hero.

Prompt: Accidentally Hurt By Friend
Fandom: Original Work
Wow, this past week was a long one, but I’m back! Enjoy! :)
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3
With tears streaming down her face Liv punched the wall. Ignoring the pain in her hand, she punched it again.
The Principal had broken her.
She had sworn to him that she would never break, but here she was. Broken.
She turned and slid down the wall sitting on the floor. She pulled her knees to her chest and let out a sob.
Her cell door slid open, and a guard stepped into the room.
“Class time.”
Liv didn’t move.
The guard stepped closer and pulled her up to her feet. She didn’t fight and followed him down the hallway.
They arrived at the gym, and the door slid open. She was pushed inside, and the door slid shut behind her.
Standing right in front of her was The Principal. His signature grin was plastered on his face.
“Welcome to class Liv.”
She just stood there staring at him.
His smile just widened as he stepped to her right.
“I need you to do something for me.” He motioned to a figure at the back of the room. “They are going to try and get out of this room, and I need you to stop them.”
Liv studied the figure.
They wore something that looked like what Liv was wearing, but they also wore a black hood that covered their face.
The President stepped closer to the door. “This is your test to see if you will do what I say.” He opened the door and stepped into the hallway. “If not, you will regret it. Go.” He yelled and slammed the door shut.
The figure started running towards the door. Liv sprinted after them and caught them by the arm. She pulled them back.
The figure pulled at her fingers, but Liv just tightened her grip. They grabbed her wrist and pulled it down as fast as they could. Catching Liv off guard, she let go of their arm.
They took off running towards the door again.
Liv grabbed at her wrist and took off towards them again. They were getting too close to the door.
Liv dove at them taking out their legs. The figure fell forward and landed hard on the ground. When they hit the ground, Liv heard a loud snap, and the figure let out a loud yelp.
The figure pulled their wrist to their chest and cried out in pain. Liv got to her feet confused.
Why did she recognize that voice?
The figure pushed themselves to their knees and then to their feet. Still grasping their wrist, they ran towards the door again.
Liv sprinted past them and stood in front of the door. They tried to push her to the side, but Liv pushed them back and pulled the hood off their head.
Alice stood in front of her.
“Alice, what are you doing here?” Liv grabbed her by the shoulder and pushed her away from the door.
Alice pushed her hands off her shoulders and wiped tears from her eyes. She just stared back at Liv.
“Is your wrist ok?” Liv reached for it, and Alice pulled it out of her reach.
“Why do you care?” Alice took a step away from her.
“What do you mean? I didn’t mean to hurt you, and I want to make it better.”
Alice just stared back at her.
Liv jumped forward and grabbed Alice’s arm. Alice let out another yelp, but Liv examined her wrist. Alice’s wrist was swollen, and it was starting to look purple. Broken.
Liv let go. “I think it’s broken.”
“Why do you care?” Alice repeated.
“Why do you keep asking that? I care about you.”
“No. You don’t. You don’t care about anybody except yourself.”
Liv stepped back in surprise. She tried to form words, but nothing was working.
Alice pushed past her and walked towards the door.
Shaking her head Liv turned towards Alice. “Who told you that?”
Alice turned and faced her. She didn’t look mad anymore, she just looked confused. “I-I don’t know.”
Liv took a step forward. “They are in your head, they are in mine as well.”
Tears filling her eyes Alice stepped towards her. “I can’t separate what they are telling me from what are my own thoughts.”
“I know. They are doing the same thing to me. I care about you, and I always will.” Liv stretched out her hand towards her.
Alice stepped forward and took Liv’s hand.
That’s when a shock sent them both flying away from each other.
Alice hit the wall next to the door, and Liv slid towards the back wall.
Not again. This had happened when she tried to comfort Conner. She jumped to her feet and ran towards Alice.
Alice sat up looking dazed. She winced and grabbed her wrist.
Liv sat down right in front of her. She reached for Alice’s arm when a voice came over the intercom. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you.”
Liv froze. She recognized that voice. It was The Principal.
“I’m very disappointed in both of you.”
The door slid open, and two guards walked over to them and pulled them both to their feet.
“You failed your test. Which means you will be doing more assignments to make it up.”
Liv’s heart sank as she was guided back to her cell.
How’d winry tell Ed she’s pregnant?
