okay but actually that scene when carol was like “youre terrorists!” to the skrull and he was like “no. We’re the victims, the cree have been manipulating you. theyre the ones killing us, we’re just trying to survive.” was actually a really surprising and pretty cool central plot for a major marvel movie to have even if it was all metaphorical, but then they Literally immediately ruined it in the next scene by having her be like:
“i cant wear the #Bad kree colors anymore! i need to replace them with #Good colors” and then replaced them with the us military colors and made Absolute Sure we Knew they were in reference to the us air force like HELLO.
they were really like: military propaganda? bad and evil, and then in the same breath: But U.S military propaganda? Good and Heroic

hot take i know its fun to joke about it because how school systems have treated us all poorly and made us out to believe that we are stupid but none of you are stupid. none of you are stupid. there are so many types of intelligence and just because yours isnt the one that lets you excel in a broken system that doesnt mean youre stupid
YEAH THATS RIGHT IM STILL ALIVE

DM after failed stealth roll: Hmm… You try to sneak around but you’re dummy thicc and the clap from your ass cheeks alerts the guards. Roll for initiative.
not to be too humorless but i really feel like we could all do better when it comes to thinking critically about the images we pass around as memes. like, is it a picture of a kid? is it a picture of a likely unstaged act of violence? is it a picture of someone who doesnt know theyre being photographed? is it a picture that was fine in a particular context but could cause real problems for the subject if widely circulated? we have to owe each other more than this
