My stance on Shuro discourse

my mind keeps refering to toshiro as "my beautiful wife shuro" when i dont even like him that much and its my friend who likes him so in a way it feels like im homewrecking

Shout out to dungeon meshi for having almost all adult characters.

In an era where fantasy and isekai are usually reserved for teenagers, having a series where grown ass men and women can go on silly adventures together is a giant breath of fresh air.

i love how in Dungeon Meshi they keep referring to "the lord of the dungeon" while in the manga translation im reading its translated as "the master of the dungeon"

they are trying SO HARD to avoid saying "dungeon master" but like this IS the ultimate set up for reoccurring a dnd gag just ACCEPT IT

So did Namari know that Shuro wasn't Toshiro's real name until Kabru started calling him by his real name?

'Cause Shuro doesn't seem like he was that interested in correcting the miscommunication with any of the party, letting them continue calling him Shuro even past the point where he'd have the confidence to actually talk to his party like a normal person.

And it is Shuro's fault the party calls him that. Not hunting down the panel, but it was his inability to speak up and accepting of whatever sounds Laios was able to eke out from that caused the confusion.

I doubt it's actually something Shuro secretly hates, tho. Considering his actual ninja family have a codename safety system in place already anyway, having a nickname like that would already be normal and even expected of him.

my ita bag is finally finished, so i can answer this!

although the photocards are handmade, the rest of my merch has been bought off of lovely artists on etsy (please feel free to ask for the shops specifically if you'd like to support them!)

i take my ita bag with me everywhere so thistle is always with me and always loved! i take his photocard stand out to sit with me at meals too ^^

ive seen various little theories about this but i think the most interesting one is that hair is a very useful thing to elves (as shown with marcille during the familiar scene so i wont go too into that), so it possibly couldve been to avoid any danger or accidents being brought onto the king (despite thistle being just a baby but i honestly think that the people of the golden country, especially the ones within the castle and near the melini family, just werent very familiar with elven ages and elves in general,, another thing that i wont get too into as its not fully relevant to this) so thats why they cut it, another reason couldve just also been because it was matted,, those two seem like the most likely things to me but either way hes very cute and we should all love him!!!!!!
