Hello! This is a small gift I made for all of you for supporting me and just being wonderful <3 It took me ages to find something I wanted to make and could make, and in the end I came up with this small posepack! I also converted the incredibly talented @serenebluesims 's lilly of the valley accessory! Thank you so much to them for letting me do this! This is my first time making poses and converting an accessory, so there may be a few problems. However, I've checked everything in my game and there aren't any issues I've come across (besides small clipping with the poses). Let me know if you find anything wrong, or have any issues - I'm happy to help!

I made this a while ago but was too lazy to put it up for download yet. This file contains household and lot, just put the package in your library file. No CC used, except from some store objects. Mostly it's just deco clutter, but you'll need the chicken coop if you wan't Pettsons chicken to show up, otherwise it will be replaced. What’s your favorite Sims death?

I have a hard time letting my sims go, so I don’t really have one. I usually play on the longest lifespan.

Alpha CC or Maxis Match?

Maxis Mix, but I lean towards Maxis Match.

Do you cheat your sims weight?

Nope.

Do you move objects?

Does anyone not? lol

Favorite Mod?

TS3: Nraas, and mods by lazyduchess.

TS4: MCC, & UI Cheats.

First Expansion/Game Pack/Stuff Pack?

I’m not sure. The first one I remember playing was The Sims House Party, and using the brightly colored dance floors!

Do you pronounce live mode like aLIVE or LIVing?

Both?? I’ve never knew which is “proper” so…

Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made?

I’m not sure for sims I have made, but I have several born in game sims I’ve gotten attached to, such as Melody from an old TS3 legacy, and Arya from my TS4 legacy.

Have you made a simself?

No. That would feel weird.

Which is your favorite EA hair color?

I’ll be honest, I’m not a huge fan of any of EAs hair colors, which is why I always download, or recolor hair.

I also don’t really have one.

Favorite life stage?

Probably Young Adult. I also really enjoy Child, and Teen in my legacies. :) I haven’t played with infants yet in TS4. 😆

Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay?

Both. I mainly build in TS4 though as I find it a lot easier than the previous games.

Are you a CC creator?

Mainly for TS3, but I have made things for TS2/TS4, I just don’t enjoy it as much.

Do you have any Simblr friends or a Sim Squad?

I’m not really sure what a Sim Squad is, but I have made friends in the simblr community. :)

Do you have any sims merch?

No.

Do you have a Youtube for sims?

No. The idea of having to talk on mic/be on camera actives my fight or flight response.

How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing?

When I first realized there was cc back in my TS2 days (2006!), I downloaded more realistic style cc. I tend to stay away from that style these days. I do like some, but I’m a lot more picky!

Who’s your favorite CC creator?

It feels impossible to choose just one. I appreciate everyone who contributes to the community, whether it be cc, worlds, or “just” screenshots. But a few I download from are @sforzcc, @aroundthesims, @twinsimming, & @sim-songs! They are definitely not the only creators I use cc from, though!

How long have you had Simblr?

When did the LJ migration happen?? Pre-2013 at least. I’ve been inactive on and off over the years, though.

How do you edit your pictures?

Reshade, and Photoshop!

What expansion/gamepack is your favorite?

I like more than one so I can’t choose.

For TS3 I really enjoy Supernatural, Pets, Seasons, Generations, and Into The Future (Plumbots are the best).

For TS4 it’d be (I haven’t tried Growing Together yet) Seasons, Cottage Living, Cats & Dogs, Werewolves, Parenthood, Strangerville (I really love the world, and objects), Paranormal, & Basement Treasures.

I’m doing a thing...

How many hours of your life do you think you’ve spent scouring the internet looking for CC / mods for Sims 3? I don’t even want to think about how much time I’ve spent doing that in all years that I’ve been playing…

Tumblr is great, don’t get me wrong… but when you’re looking for a specific type of CC, it can be…. well…. not fun. Tumblr is wonderful for following players and creators, but it’s not a CC search engine by any stretch of the imagination. Sure, you can hop from one “finds” account to another, but even that’s not efficient.

So I started thinking about this problem, and how it might be solved, and I kept thinking, “I wish there was a site where we could catalog and organize links to content all across the web.” Well hot damn… I’ve got an unlimited web hosting plan! When you see a need, fill it. So, I’m starting a Sims 3 CC & Mods link directory website. 

The basic premise is that links to CC & Mods (to the creator’s original post or site, if possible) from every corner of the web can be organized by categories and tags. This enables users to drill down to specific types of content that they’re looking for, or just search for keywords or browse the categories to see what’s out there. 

I think that’s a pretty cool idea and would be tremendously useful! And furthermore, the system I’m using enables users to submit links as well! Huzzah! I don’t have to do all of the work myself! 

Additionally, it would serve to drive traffic to creators’ sites and introduce new players to their content. Hell… I’ve been playing Sims 3 since it came out and there are still “old” creators that I’m just now discovering…

Anyway… apologies for the long-winded post. The idea is only a few days old and I’ve got the basics of the site put together, but I’m still working on refining the concept and putting the pieces in place, and I would WELCOME feedback and suggestions from y’all, and if anyone is interested in helping with the project, please feel free to contact me.

Yes that’s right! There is a way to make the Sims 3 run faster!

Nitromon over at Mod the Sims has found a program that allows you to ‘unpark’ your drives- allowing your game to take advantage of more of your CPU.

Used in combination with Overwatch, Save Cleaner and a whole bevy of other fixes, you’ll be enjoying faster gameplay from now on!

Quick n’ Easy Tutorial

Download & install ParkControl (Here: https://bitsum.com/parkcontrol/)

Run the program

Under Parking AC & Parking DC, disable both options. Click Apply. Don’t touch anything else.

That’s it! Now enjoy buttery-smooth gameplay and less lag!

When I’m done, I usually turn Parking AC & Parking DC back on until the next time I play.

FYI this program does not alter any Sims game files- it changes whether or not your computer puts aside CPU cores to extend battery life (which doesn’t matter since you’re probably going to be plugged in for the Sims 3).

Windows 7 is programmed to use 4 cores at any time, so don’t worry about any parked cores being used for background tasks. If you’re concerned about your computer, set the percentage under Parking AC/DC to leave one core parked. If you’re using a laptop like I am, I would also suggest using a temperature monitoring software like Speed Fan or Core Temp regardless of whether or not you unpark your drives.

If your drives are already unparked, if you have Windows 8+, or you have a computer that can barely run the Sims 3, then this program likely won’t help. Read the MTS thread for a more thorough explanation and discussion.

I found that:

Loading times were improved

Catalogue items, Create-a-Style & Create-a-Sim loaded up faster

Gameplay was faster & smoother

Instead of 4 cores, I was able to fully use 8 cores. Obviously this will differ depending on your computer CPU.

For anyone with doubts- just back up your Sims 3 Documents folder before trying this!
