yikes
i created this monstrosity
This was meant to be a quick warm up, but it turned into a comic that Iāve wanted to draw for a while. This is something that is extremely important to me, and I appreciate it if you read it.
A while ago, I heard a story that broke my heart. A family went a cat shelter to adopt. The daughter fell in love with a 3-legged cat. The father straight up said āabsolutely notā. Because he was missing a leg. That cat was that close to having a family that loved him, but the missing leg held him back. Why?!
Many people have the initial instinct of ānopeā when they see an imperfect animal. I get it, but less-adoptable does NOT mean less loveable. 9 out of 10 people will choose a kitten over an adult cat. And those 10% that would get an adult cat often overlook ādifferentā animals.
All I want people to do is be open to the idea of having a ādifferentā pet in their lives. Choose the pet that you fall in love with, but at least give all of them a fair shot at winning your heart.
Donāt dismiss them, they deserve a loving home just as much as any other cat. They still purr, they still love a warm lap, they still play, they still love you. Trust me, next time you are in the market for a new kitty, just go over to that one cat thatās missing an eye and see what heās all about!
Iām not funny
my fav trope is when the protagonist thinks a villain is doing something terrible and it cuts to them being mundane
Princess Knight, polishing her bastardess sword: what dastardly deeds is mine own rival plotting⦠Queen of Skulls at a ride-thru: can i get a fuckin uuhhh
Ah yes this is a great enscapulation of how Nagito is in the second half of the game
no thanks
not really a drawing request but! if you feel like it can you show us a bit about your drawing process? im kinda curious how you pull off the lineless style so well
Thank you for asking! Iām not really good at explaining it so bear with me.
I use Medibang Paint as my art program but that doesnāt really determine things. Iāll be using this image as an example:
This image first started off as a simple sketch:
I turn of the anti-aliasing box for the mspa-esque look
I turn down the opacity of the sketch and create a layer underneath the sketch which usually ends up being the background!
I make layers for each different section of the character, like a layer for hair, eyes, skin, clothes, etc. A steady hand is favorable since the layers will be under the sketch layer! There is also usually a line correction tool in most programs or a way to make a brush stroke more smooth.
(I didnāt label my layers so i would recommend doing that)
Also checking to see the piece without the sketch could help!:
Layers that are on the bottom can be a bit messier since the top layers would hide them.
I just use the bucket tool to fill things in
Then I keep repeating the process of turning the sketch layer on and off as I draw!
For things that require more detail I make a layer and clip it onto what I need to(ex. Joeyās mouth consists of a base of dark gray with two layers clipped on to make the teeth and tongue)
This repeats until the drawing is done and I can add any other details afterwards!
(I edited the background color, added stars, and merged them all into one layer)
Thatās my process! I hope I explained it well enough. If you have any questions you can ask them!
