It's a cruel, unfair world. And I intend to keep it that way!
I didn't want to have to do this, but I really wanted to do this...
I've made my first art post on my art account!! I'm... not on the art side of Tumblr so I have no idea how to get people to see this besides my fandom account followers π
after this post I'll keep my things to the right blogs but I wanted to let you guys know it was there :3
Here's some progress gifs of Pax's walk cycle from this past year!
And the final animation (v2):
Congrats Dean!!! Sam won last year. I'll see you guys next year... Who will break the overall tie?
Sam wins: 1 (2024)
Dean wins: 1 (2025)

Butt tbhe favidbowie ballshujigglong goblibabe!?!???
All of this is true! But it reminds me of a common guilt I get at cons, not buying things I'd rather make.
Not COPY, there's absolutely no joy in that, but there's certain items I like making more than owning. For example, for needle felting I prefer doing more than owning it. I like the stabby stabby, and the creative process, more than I need another little creature on my shelf.
However.. I have NO interest in knitting, but I'd love a handmade beanie. And I can make pottery, but that doesn't stop me from buying handmade mugs! There's nuance here. This is an ecosystem where everyone buys things for different reasons and you're not morally obligated to get things you don't want. For any reason*
Even if it's "I'd rather be the artist"
This more accurately describes the good side of "I can make that," in my opinion, as it better voices the want to create more than the want to have. It's the creative process we sometimes seek, in the creation of something we wouldn't normally buy. That's okay. That's good. Make what you want to make, and buy what you want to buy!
*Unless you don't buy art because you'd rather make it with AI, then you can go feel terrible for that, if you are capable of remorse.
the thing about "i could do that" is that what people mean is that they can copy the finished product because the work of coming up with something and making it has already been done for them. every little creative decision has already been made and put into creating something, so "doing the same thing" is only doing the work of physically making something. but art doesn't just appear out of thin air. every little decision someone makes is part of the creative process. if you "can just do that" you would be doing it instead of just saying it. because the most essential part of making a piece of art is actually making it. you have to come up with it, decide to make it, and make it, for it to even exist. you can look at someone's works and think that on a technical level you can Do The Same Thing but that's not really true. because the work of unique creative choices for a particular piece you're looking at has already been done. some pieces are hard to make because they're very complex on a technical level, but every single piece that's created requires the essential work of coming up with it, making choices that are unique to you as an artist, and actually making the piece
Calling Ao3- somebody write this! Oh the duo Wilson and House would make! Less like Hannibal and Will and more like Hannibal and Hannibal. Dangerous. Wilson manipulates them with his charm AND does most of the dirty work, while House delights in being the main suspect in all Wilson's killings. Because between the two of them, it would obviously be House. The police can never prove anything, because he's great at narrowly avoiding arrest, but if he is arrested, Wilson will break him out. Partners in crime. Yes.
Wilson looking for House in the morgue
This is actually an illusion by Tom Bagshaw for "Hannibal Rising," I saw it on Pinterest and thought of Wilson, and then did some digging so I could post it and credit the artist. Which makes sense, because I only just noticed the shadow is the deerman. Wilson as Hannibal AU??
Do you enjoy banana bread... With me?
My blorbos after I pick them up and shake them REALLY hard:
