I also think the songs are in an order of each “era” of her life with him. Not necessarily lyrically, but as far as style, it sounds like each album in order from Rep and on
The Tortured Poets Department: TTPD, like a prologue?
My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys: reputation vibes with hints at “This is why we can’t have nice things” ? It’s like the grownup version of it?
Down Bad: Lover vibes, even in the vocals? Reminded me of Cornelia street a little, I don’t know why exactly (I’ve only listened through once and I’m not finished at all)
So Long, London: FOLKLORE VIBES with the harmonies!! It reminded me of a mixture of closure and epiphany!
… But Daddy I Love Him: I was thinking, if the pattern continues it’ll have evermore vibes with some little guitars AND THE GUITARS STARTED so yes evermore for this one
So will Fresh Out The Slammer have Midnights vibes? Has she been dressing for revenge lately?
and yet the mic was not the thing that hurt george the most in get back pt 1
“She’s my baby, she comes out at niiight”
So there’s a lot of speculation
“Taking me byyy surprise she my babeh!
About you and John?
“Like gravy, down to the last drop, I keep mopping her up, yeah yeah, she’s mah bayyybeh”
Will you ever beat the allegations?
“She’s a baby in the morning time, when the sleep is in her eyes, and the world is wakin’ up, she has arisen”
Who did you really write Two Of Us about?
“Oh, believe me I ain’t lyin’”
Paul are you gay
“…”
…
“…”
…
“…”
…Paul are you-
“SHE’S A WOMAAAAAN”
This new South Park episode is the best one yet because I COULDN’T EVEN WAIT TILL IT’S OVER TO SAY KENNY’S FACE IS SHOWN THANK YOU SEASON 26 WE ARE GRUBBING
Tfw you hear sirens and you think it’s No Body No Crime but it’s just actual sirens
So is she referencing reputation vault tracks with the line in Guilty As Sin?
“I keep these longing locked in lowercase inside a vault”
Or maybe Folklore/evermore vault tracks? (Because even though those won’t have TVs, there are probably still songs that were written for but not added to those albums
Just a thought
In the future, children will think our ways are strange. "Why do old people always grow so much milkweed in their gardens?" they'll say. "Why do old people always write down when the first bees and butterflies show up? Why do old people hate lawn grass so much? Why do old people like to sit outside and watch bees?"
We will try to explain to them that when we were young, most people's yards were almost entirely short grass with barely any flowers at all, and it was so commonplace to spray poisons to kill insects and weeds that it was feared monarch butterflies and American bumblebees would soon go extinct. We will show them pictures of sidewalks, shops, and houses surrounded by empty grass without any flowers or vegetables and they will stare at them like we stared at pictures of grimy children working in coal mines
“Why don’t people want to work anymore?”
*requires child development certificate and teaching certificate to work at a daycare for kids under age 5, to get payed $11 an hour*
“What is wrong with this generation! So lazy.”
Yeah shove your $11 an hour right up your anal canal. Either pay people with certificates way more than that or don’t require those certificates..to babysit…a job that 14 year olds do before they are even old enough to work legally (I’m saying that it’s not hard, teaching, sure, you shood have a certificate for that, but daycare?)
Y’all ever notice that Tweek does this thing where, when Craig tries to hug or touch him to comfort him, he pushes Craig away? People always hc that Tweek is clingy and Craig doesn’t like being touched because he has this bad boy attitude (or sensory issues) but I kinda hc it the other way around, Tweek doesn’t like to be touched when he’s anxious and Craig only knows how to comfort people through touch because he’s not too good with words, or empathy.
