No one else is talking abt this???
Midnights MAYhem, May underlined, and track 13?
As soon as she did this I immediately thought, she never just lets fate decide, I’m 99% certain all those ping pong balls said 13
She is so loud
After attending The Eras Tour tonight, I’ve learned that Taylor doesn’t play the surprise songs that you WANT to hear. She plays the ones you NEED to hear. Thank you Tay Tay ❤️
Because I’ve been working on the same damn songs all summer
Saw a post like this with negative outlook so I asked for it to be fixed
Lowkey psychic moment
Taylor Swift is more than just the artist of our generation, she is one of the great American poets.
Love Story is how she imagined not getting to marry the love of her life would feel like, while But Daddy I Love him is how the scenario actually played out all these years later
“Why don’t people want to work anymore?”
*requires child development certificate and teaching certificate to work at a daycare for kids under age 5, to get payed $11 an hour*
“What is wrong with this generation! So lazy.”
Yeah shove your $11 an hour right up your anal canal. Either pay people with certificates way more than that or don’t require those certificates..to babysit…a job that 14 year olds do before they are even old enough to work legally (I’m saying that it’s not hard, teaching, sure, you shood have a certificate for that, but daycare?)
In the future, children will think our ways are strange. "Why do old people always grow so much milkweed in their gardens?" they'll say. "Why do old people always write down when the first bees and butterflies show up? Why do old people hate lawn grass so much? Why do old people like to sit outside and watch bees?"
We will try to explain to them that when we were young, most people's yards were almost entirely short grass with barely any flowers at all, and it was so commonplace to spray poisons to kill insects and weeds that it was feared monarch butterflies and American bumblebees would soon go extinct. We will show them pictures of sidewalks, shops, and houses surrounded by empty grass without any flowers or vegetables and they will stare at them like we stared at pictures of grimy children working in coal mines
My favorite part of the episode omg i otp them sm
As someone who deals with a lot of stupid conservatives in my everyday life this episode was very relatable to me and I really liked it idk about you guys!!
No specific order, these are my favorites
Guilty As Sin?- the end of the bridge where it’s just this beautiful chorus of Taylors singing in harmony, kinda like in Don’t Blame Me but like this beautiful dreamy version of it, and the long drum fill before perfectly jumping back into the original rhythm? Literally makes the whole song
So High School- this is a rock song, this is something that if I heard sung by a young Paul McCartney, I’d believe was a Beatles song. Incredibly clever lyrics and such a fun, happy song
But Daddy I Love Him- The parellels to Love Story are so incredible, and with one of the catchiest choruses she’s ever written! Also love the lyricism in this one sooo much, the epitome of girlish and yet badass at the same time
Peter- the first one I attempted to play on piano and sing just to feel that chorus in my chest, I’ve never experienced the relationship between Taylor and this muse but I can still feel the yearning in that chorus’ melody
Who’s Afraid Of Little Old Me?- this was actually the first one that made me cry (I was stoned of my rockers for the first listen, it was celebratory) I couldn’t believe how transparent and real she was being, and it was so sad to think that she feels like a monster because that’s how people have made her feel. It’s such a great song
I Can Do It With A Broken Heart- once again the transparency, I’ve never experienced another modern artist who was so deeply telling about their personal and intimate experiences. It is the most fun song on the album and the lyrics are so hilariously delivered. It’s like Bejewled (Taylor’s Version)
The Black Dog- I love the premise of the song, what a great thing to write about! Incredible lyrics, I love how she can just make normal conversation fee so natural in a melody. She just took a single thought she had, “how do you not miss me in the black dog?” And then sang it to the first chord she played, and made it a chorus, and THEN tells a whole imaginary story of what she sees when she puts herself in the scenario as a bystander. “When someone plays the starting line, and you jump up, but she’s too young to know this song” it’s just a whole train of thought set to a melody, and the end of the chorus is equally significant, closing the thought out so we’ll “old habits die screaming” there is so much volume in that statement. Easily a masterpiece
Those are my favorites and a few words about them sorry there are 2 extras!
