THIS! I wrote a oneshot on the site one time and it got deleted halfway through (I went to get food and my laptop shut down) I was devastated. And that was only a oneshot. I was like 200 words in.

people who write their fics directly onto archive of our own site do not fear death by the way

in all seriousness, please always keep backups of your works, write them somewhere else (google doc is a good choice) then copy and paste onto ao3 when you're done, because ao3 itself does not automatically save your works for you, meaning you can lose all of your progress

Andrew didn't break his deal with Kevin by choking him; Kevin had already broken it. At least, that's how Andrew saw it.

Andrew never broke his word. He couldn't live with it; he is a man of his truthful and instigator word (maybe someone promised to protect him and failed? Perhaps it's because no one believed his word before? I am still trying to understand him, even after all these years). Didn't Kevin promise to find something for him to live for? And he did, we know he did, even tho it wasn't exy.

Now, when Neil disappeared, have you thought that maybe Andrew realised that Kevin already fulfilled his part of the deal? Maybe then Andrew realised that there it was, his reason to live, and Kevin took it away from him by lying to him.

Lying, of all the things he could have done, he fucking lied.

Kevin gave him something to live for and then took it away by lying.

Andrew always pays back; he is a man of his word. He took his protection away and choked the truth out of him.
