I love being Jewish. I love the way a bracha rolls off my tongue, half whisper, half inheritance, and suddenly I'm not alone.
I'm stitched to something older than exile, older than fear.
There are generations behind me, candlelit and stubborn, who prayed with the same words, who wept and danced and buried their dead with the same rhythms.
Through halacha, through ritual, through the ache of tradition, I belong.

hello!! im just wondering how does being both jewish and muslim work? genuine question and i hope i dont come across as rude!
(also nice to see another jewish alterhuman :3)
hii!! not rude at all dw :D also yippee i love meeting other jewish alterhumans as well <33 it's sort of hard to summarize tbh, since it depends on the specific topic! like for some things, i sort of take the "middle approach" between the typical jewish and muslim view (e.g. judaism rejects jesus, islam accepts him as a prophet/messenger and the messiah, and i say he was a prophet/messenger but not the messiah). but for other things, i kinda pick one or the other depending on which is more reasonable to me (e.g. pantheism, which is much more common in judaism than islam, makes more sense to me than thinking G-d is completely separate from creation like in mainstream islamic thought) and some things i'm still working out! such as what i think modesty standards are for me, what diet i should follow, etc it's been a slow but fun journey so far, and i learn new things every day! i hope that helped u to understand a little better :3
this is genuinely so helpful i need to look at this every day lol
Hi there. Are you autistic? Do you currently feel like shit and don't know why? Try this checklist to see if you can Fix The Problem!
When was the last time you used the bathroom? If you answered "I don't know" or "at least 3 hours ago", go now!
Do you need a drink? Go get one if you don't have one in front of you.
When was the last time you ate? If you haven't eaten yet today, consider eating A Meal, or perhaps A Snack. Something is better than nothing, eat whatever you feel able to!
Is there something in your immediate surroundings that is bothering you? If the light is too bright, turn it off. If there is an annoying sound, make the sound stop or reduce your ability to hear it (earplugs, headphones, etc.). If your clothes are bothering you, change them.
Is your space messy? Pick one area of your room and clean it up as best you can. Clean your whole room if you have the energy!
When was the last time you did An Activity? Scrolling on social media doesn't count. Try actively doing something fun! Play a game you like, read a book, make something, or go for a walk.
When was the last time you Spoke to a Person? Consider talking to a person you like if it has been a while.
How long has it been since you did something Special Interest related? Make some time to do that today. Infodump to a friend, have a nice long research session, look at related images or gifs, make art about it, whatever works best for you!
Try stimming actively! Put on some music and dance, spin in circles, go to the park and use the swings!
If you still feel like shit after trying all of these things, you might be tired or sick. Go to bed early and get some rest. Hopefully you will feel better tomorrow!
Hope that helps :)

What the Bible says about homosexuality: (nothing)
What the Qur'an says about homosexuality: (nothing)
The only verses that are twisted to discuss homosexuality are entirely mistranslated and/or misinterpreted by both sets of people who follow them.
Instead, what both scriptures tell us is a story of a Prophet of God, Lut (AS), who told a city to follow the path God has laid out for all of us.
But the city of Sodom not only ignored him, but they decided to present and reinforce their power and status through terror and r-pe, a story that is not at all unbelievable as we watch people go into political power with shocking histories of sexual 'transgressions' alongside a hideous contempt for the very fabric of humanity in many cases.
The moral of the story of Lut (AS) is this:
Extend hospitality, generosity, and protection to others
Don't be greedy, stingy, or thieving
Protect vulnerable people
Do not lust over power
Have mutual respect and love for each other
Condemn fucking r-pe (didn't think we had to write that one down, but here we are)
Don't be a dick.
Follow God

i get asked often how i syncretize judaism and islam (understandably!) but probably my least favorite "question" is when people say "well you can't syncretize that because X and Y beliefs are different." i fear people don't know that syncretism isn't just simultaneous practice of several beliefs but is indeed the forming of new beliefs/traditions from those original ones.
also, if religions A and B had no differing beliefs, they would be the same religion!! thus making syncretism impossible in the minds of some people. i respect the confusion but it gets so tiring to explain this specific thing lol
oh woah!! that does help tysm :0 /gen
