I'LL TAKE BOTHHHHHHHHHHHHH
If I'm being realistic, based on my own characterization of the characters and how they live freely in my head; for prongsfoot to work:
1-Prongsfoot happened before Jily happened at all.
2-It happened during their later 30s-40s and after James had years divorced(also Sirius had 0 things to do with the divorce). (Meaning James and Lily don't die btw lol).
3-Lily is the only one who died.
4-Jilypad happened.
But I also think:
1- I don't personally like this option because this means no Harry.
2- Idk if, in this case, one of them would have caught feelings for the other before jily again (or Sirius during, cheating is a nono for James even emotional) , but I feel like due their age and many circumstances, they wouldn’t explore that, they cared about their friendship too much (like TOO much) I feel like that their bond was enough when they were in their teens and 20s. And I love the idea of jily falling out of love sometimes because it is realistic, and they do fall in love very young, and I love the idea of life crisis, trying to figure out shit, one having many patterns and roads, not meaning that one road is unimportant, but meaning that you go through it, change and flexibility and new emotions etc etc (this is one of my fav)
3-I love the angst of this, I really want to explore the idea myself. Harry being raised by James. Sirius not ending up in prison. Grief. A lot of grief. What would happen to the Marauders and the war, and especially Lily fucking Evans haunting the narrative etc etc.
4-Tops everything else. They're family<3
Even tho I have read cheating prongsfoot works, it's not like I mind them, but for me to read them, I go, "Oh, shit! I love the writing style, the wording, and the tension (if a work is good, I will read it. It doesn't matter if someone made James fucking blonde/now that I think about it blonde James is a nono, but you get me). But I have to disconnect with my Sirius, James, and Lily bcs I see these mfs loyal to a fault."
they’re eternally my roman empire
But imagine that in some universe the only thing Euphemia and Walburga could argue about was what flowers, dishes and an orchestra would be at their sons' wedding
No because I was planning to watch Supernaturals and then I just found out that apparently people ACTUALLY shipped Sam and Dean??!!
Like, what the fuck is wrong with you? I know that y'all's only excuse will be "this is just fiction," "Get over it, it's not that deep I'm a pro shipper," or even worse, "It's not hurting anybody" oh my god you guys are so sick what the fuck. What in the world....people actually liking to ship two brothers truly surprised and horrified me beyond my comprehension. Please GET HELP IMMEDIETLY.
I took a look at the #wincest tag and literally what the fuck...???
Idk how ANYONE dares say its real? Like bro wtf?
Why are you admitting to liking incest?
Why are you proud to ship two brothers together?
Especially after that one episode where they called dean/sam shippers out when they found out about the spn books
I saw a comment say they just choose to ignore the destiel moments after s3 and the 'wincest chemistry' is still there.
Im literally sick to my stomach i didnt know people were fr about this shit
I filtered the tag and will spend the rest of my life ignoring it for my own mental health
You're actually right about this one. Though I'm still skeptical about some events, it is explicitly stated in canon that he was indeed pleased to volunteer kreacher for the horcrux protection testing situation. And yes, harry being a unreliable narrative messes up the whole plotline. And kreacher had nothing to lie about either. Also, sorry about the thing I said about Regulus volunteering, he was literally raised to believe that purebloods were superior and muggles were inferior and needed to be eradicated, he joined the dark lord to help him achieve not only his goals but also to honor his house name, Black. As his unwavering loyalty was mentioned many times.
I do think that Sirius had no reason to be biased. Sirius literally fought tooth and nail just for his family to treat muggles right, he did not rebel just to piss off his parents, he literally ran away from his family that's so wildly popular for being extreme with their ideals. He always fought for what is right, no wonder he broke his family's tradition by being placed in Gryffindor. Because he had always been brave, full of courage and his loyalty toward eradicating the pureblood ideals truly makes up a lot for his rebellious personality. Canon Sirius would never lie about something that actually fueled his desires to oppose everything his family ever tried indoctrinate to make him believe. And he served in Azkaban for 12 fucking years because of that and he still chose to help harry just because he was so loyal to his dead friend who helped him during his most lowest point of life.
We cannot cherry pick some events from canon to fit our objective desires for redeeming somebody who clearly had done more wrong than right but was late to realize, just to mess up the whole point of Sirius becoming a rebel and why harry stood against Voldemort in the first place.
ngl, if you believe that Regulus's true beliefs are unknown as the only piece of canon information we have on that front is from Sirius, which could be biased because of the animosity between them...I don't think you can say Regulus took revenge on Voldemort for Kreacher because we learn that from Kreacher himself, an elf that literally worships him. So for all we know, Regulus could've been a blood supremacist/voldy fan, could've been not, could've loved his elf, or could've seen them as inferior beings and only betrayed Voldemort simply because he knew Voldemort needed to be stopped.
...im not saying anything, im on the side that he loves his elf, but I was arguing with someone about Regulus as a character and they told me what's mentioned above. That Sirius's dialogues on him aren't reliable for that reason and that Regulus defected when his elf got hurt.
So it's just...idk man.
i’m usually not one to obsess over celebrities, but-
Imma let those trains run over this twink mf
