Holyshit they do see out pain
I write my fics out in Google Docs and then paste the text into Ao3 when I'm ready to post it. Does anyone else have the problem of pasting with italics? If there's a word in italics next to punctuation, Ao3 will add in a space for some reason and it's kind of infuriating.
One of the AO3 translation volunteers (Min) created a Google Docs script to handle issues when copying from a doc into AO3. It’s really easy to use
create a copy of this google doc. It contains the script that will do all of the HTML formatting for you.
Delete all of the text from the document.
Write or paste your fic/chapter into the document.
Go up to the top menu and click the new menu option Post to AO3, then choose Prepare for posting into the HTML editor
Note: because this is an apps script, you’ll need to give it permission to run the first time.
The script will automatically mark up your document with the required HTML that you can then paste into the AO3 composition window. \o/
To revert your text back to normal, just go back up to that menu and choose Remove HTML. It will look like regular text again.
Once you have the doc, you can make a new copy of it for each new fic you write and that way you’ll always have that script available when you need it :)
For other cool stuff, read this post from @ao3org - which is where I found this script in the first place ❤
After seeing a ton of different ships of this meme I reaaalllly wanted to do these two so enjoy this sketchy version of the barbie ship meme with Bronya and Seele!
i’ll go first straight, bi, pan, demi, then lesbian
ORV gives you a main character who is so detached and suicidal and never gets better
But more importantly it gives you all the people who would tear apart reality itself for one more chance to be with him
As someone who has struggled with depersonalisation and derealization and suicidal ideation for pretty much my entire life this book, even when deeply painful, is the most uplifting and convincing DO NOT KILL YOURSELF treatise I have ever read
Because it's easy to convince yourself that no one will miss you
That no one actually cares about you, because how could they? You're a monster
That you only have worth in what you can give
But then you see Kim Dokja who believes about himself all the worst things you have thought about yourself and who has arguably done worst things then you could ever do...and you see how he doesn't see the love and care and devotion that is right in front of his face
You are begging him to stop and see it
To recognise that he doesn't have to do everything alone
That he is loved so so deeply
And maybe, just maybe you can get yourself to open your eyes. Or just believe that maybe you're just as blind as Kim Dokja.
I know some people will see this book as despairing or that the message is that you can never actually cross that divide. But for me it's a push to say you can cross it.
That there are people in this world waiting for you to extend your hand and they will hold you close and never let you go
It's hope in the despair
At least for me
And I don't get to go home till 8:20 tonight
I love that today went from being a good day with high energy to me being so stressed I want to slam my head through a wall
love that for me
Convention is next week and im so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!
