DC focuses way too much on Batman and Batman adjacent characters, to the point where I think it’s actually detrimental to the story.
One example is DC vs Vampires, where for six issues (half of the entire series), Hal Jordan was the primary antagonist we were following. Then at issue six he gets taken out weirdly easily (can writers please stop cutting off limbs so easily, bone is not a cardboard tube) and replaced with the completely new villain of Nightwing. At this point sure he’s a character that we’ve seen around, but there’s not that connection due to the whole build up with Hal. If they wanted Nightwing to be the big bad hidden in the shadows they still could have done that without getting rid of the character we were following the entire time. Then they go and make it so some vampires can defy Nightwing, but not Hal who canonically has the strongest will? Like they literally set it up for him to take out Nightwing and take his place, and they wouldn’t even have to make up a random alien blood plot point to make him immune to the usual vampire weaknesses. But instead the entire plot is reliant on the Batman characters despite it being DC vs Vampires. Plus they made Harley the linchpin because she’s toxic to them (despite them eating the Joker just fine), and plenty of other characters could easily be toxic, ie metamorpho, but they had to go with her because she’s gotta be put in everything like the rest of the Batman characters.

Hi, hello, Emesis Blue dropped by Yesterday by Fortress Films. The video has flashing lights that are not labelled, so here are the times.
44:08 - 44:41 (bad flashing lights when the stretched Scout is on the screen to his death)
and also at
45:42 - 47:44 (alarm lights flashing within the respawn room. not as bad as the Scout one, but it's still a long time to have them on screen)
These are the only bad ones that stuck out to me, but if you can find anything else that may cause eyestrain or worse yet, possible seizures, please add them. Yes, this is a horror SFM, but I want people to be safe as they watch it.
Please do share and reblog this. I don't want anyone to be harmed during their viewing of this amazing piece of art, and I want everyone to have a good time.
As a rule of thumb, don't reblog donation posts or people asking for donations unless they've been vetted and reblogged by Palestinian bloggers. We usually go to lengths to verify this shit because we know scammers have been faking to get people to send them money, using the urgency of our genocide as bait.
It's disgusting this is what we're dealing with, but people are losing money because of some truly evil people out there.
Accounts don't just randomly spring up on tumblr without gofundmes while asking for someone to help them create a campaign. Fuck out of here with that shit.
Day 29 done! My weird headcanon for Skizz is that he isn't actually an angel or a regular avian, but rather in a sort of grey area between the two. He's an albatross, which is a bird with a lot of legends and superstitions surrounding it. Albatrosses have mistakenly been associated with burdens and bad luck (like in "Rime of the Ancient Mariner") However, they only symbolize misfortune to people who mistreat them. They're actually symbols of perseverance and guidance, as well as healing and protecting lost souls. This means that Skizz counts as a supernatural being, but it isn't really noticeable. He's got a good sense of direction and is remarkably good at telling when someone needs guidance, but other than the giant wings, he seems normal
(Thanks to anyone who read that whole thing! I warned y'all I was a literature major, rambling about bird symbolism was inevitable)

Day 28 done! I couldn't decide which of the many friends of Hermitcraft I wanted to draw, so I just fit as many as I could into today's square. If it wasn't clear from the rest of this month's drawings, all of my hermit-a-day pieces are part of a big grid of 2 in x 2.5 in boxes. I figured having boxes ready to fill in, plus a small size that limited how much detail I could add, would make it easier to actually complete the whole month. And it worked!

Day 3 complete! I'm trying to improve my face drawing skills by incorporating features from IRL hermits into their characters. It's not even close to perfect, but I think I'm learning a lot, and that's what matters!
i'm just curious bc i'm watching How to Train Your Dragon and i always forget how happy and calm it makes me feel. i mean, i did name my cat after Toothless the dragon. but i also love Lion King, that's my Disney comfort movie. and my Ghibli comfort movie is Spirited Away. watching any of these when i'm in a foul mood or my anxiety is high always helps 🥰 but i watch them just for fun too, not only when i'm in a mood. what about you?
Day 25 done! Another hermit that I don't watch nearly as much as I should. I wasn't able to fit it into this drawing, but I imagine that his apron is covered in pins representing moments, storylines, and accomplishments from each season, like a TCG card or a llama face
