Day 11 done! For some reason, I can't seem to make Cub look anything other than menacing when I draw him. Believe it or not, the fangs actually made him look nicer. Though since this is permit office Cub, menacing might be the right look
Day 3 complete! I'm trying to improve my face drawing skills by incorporating features from IRL hermits into their characters. It's not even close to perfect, but I think I'm learning a lot, and that's what matters!
Boss is asleep, cannot stop me from frogposting
Day 27 done! Today is everyone's favorite knight, who I imagine as having griffon features. Since griffons (griffins? gryphons?), as well as lions and eagles, show up in many coats of arms, I thought it would be fitting for a knight. Plus, the idea of Wels having wings and a tail was too cool not to draw.
As a bonus, have a Zedaph for day 26! I'm especially happy with my design for him. He's a weresheep: the bigger the moon, the more sheep features he gets!

Day 21 done! Usually I like drawing armor, but this drawing really fought me. My favorite details are the little antenna and the tally marks for each season of hermitcraft.
Day 24 done! Behold...the Juppet

Love the idea of weresheep zed (I have a similar idea in the most roundabout and weird way lmao)
Thanks! I wish I had a cool backstory for it, but really I just couldn't decide whether I wanted him to be a human or a sheep. I'm curious about your take on a weresheep! Roundabout and weird seems like a very fitting description for any version of Zed
I'm hoping to post some weresheep concept sketches along with all my other hermit-a-day practice designs at the end of May, if you want to keep an eye out for those
Does anyone else have mixed feelings about TF2 finally getting comic #7? On one hand, I'm so happy to see these characters again and to get a conclusion to their story. I'm pretty new to this community, so this will also be my first time reacting to something new alongside other fans, which I'm really excited about! But at the same time, I'm sad it took so long. I discovered TF2 a few months before the protest started, and it was hard to see the fanbase so sad and frustrated because of valve's treatment of the game.
Day 28 done! I couldn't decide which of the many friends of Hermitcraft I wanted to draw, so I just fit as many as I could into today's square. If it wasn't clear from the rest of this month's drawings, all of my hermit-a-day pieces are part of a big grid of 2 in x 2.5 in boxes. I figured having boxes ready to fill in, plus a small size that limited how much detail I could add, would make it easier to actually complete the whole month. And it worked!

Day 17 done! I really struggled with his face shape, and then realized it was just my brain being bothered by the lack of a regular human ear to connect to the jawline. And though I love the Gigacorp aesthetic, I never want to draw a spacesuit again
