Hey, if you’re looking for a fun Alternate Heresy au can I recommend Warped Origins? It’s fairly simple but has some drastic differences caused by the circumstances the Primarchs found themselves in.

But EVERYONE has a unique power. EX: Bumblebee as an Electricity Based power where he can create Stasis Stingers and Energy Fields; Overlord can summon two extra arms made of energy which are bigger and far stronger. Cry about it.

Cybertron. A world ruled by a seemingly goodwill and calm nature senate. But that was far from the truth. In fact, almost every member of the senate was dealing with illegal activities and abusing the lower earning citizens. But there were seven leaders of the senate that REALLY made the senate the corrupted group they were.

Ian Duo was a lazy slob of a Cybertronian and dealt with various drug and arms dealers. Xianmu was a vain and jealous bot that wanted items and add ons to a point of forcing the parts in. Baoshi was drunkard pure and simple, and could down gallons of high grade Energon. Fenu was the angriest bot you could ever meet, and if you disagreed with him, the next day you never existed. Yuwang was a seductive bot with a sharp tongue and corrupted view of Cybertronian biology. Tanian was a greedy pig that controlled all the banks on Cybertron. And their leader Zihao? So filled with pride she was charming and persuasive, but a powerful bot that no one could challenge. 

Together they controlled Cybertron with their fellow senators. But there was one senator who was different. His name was Shockwave. And he was shocked by the corrupted nature of the senate, but knew if he spoke out he’d be effectively sent to the mines and gladiator rings. But it was this exact thought that led him to go to the Pits of Kaon. It was there he met a strong willed and intelligent young bot named Megatron. Megatron worked in the mines during the day, and then fought in the ring at night. Shockwave was able to find some time for them to chat privately. Shockwave was able to hear the treacherous conditions of the mines and fights the lower citizens had to deal with. It broke Shockwave’s heart. So Shockwave decided to find a friend.

That friend was Orion Pax. He and his friends Fortress Maximus and Ultra Magnus were working in the library as High Ranking Librarians for Alpha Trion, a member of the Lower Senate, which wasn’t corrupted… yet. Shockwave knew Orion would listen.

And listen Orion did. Orion went STRAIGHT to the pits to meet with Megatron. The two began to chat often, and Orion was even able to get Megatron a job in the library instead of the pits thanks to his high position. This is what Shockwave had hoped to have happen. If Megatron could help the lower ranked citizens from his now earned high position, the senate’s actions would be exposed.

Sadly the High Senate would catch on. Zihao ordered an Institute Squad to drag Shockwave to the Institute where he was forced under the Emputara Process. Luckily for him, Starscream, a fellow Senator from the Lower Senate was able to bail him out, but the damage was done. Shockwave became a dangerous scientist. From there only the ancients could have foreseen the chaos. Shockwave would come to Megatron to expose what has become of him, and in a rage Megatron would rally the lower ranking citizens from the pits and raid the Senate building, killing all of the High Senate. 

Orion couldn’t stand for the slaughter of the senate, seeing that violence was only making things worse and tried to speak for peace, but Megatron had gotten a taste for High Rank blood. So Orion was forced to gather his own forces to defend the rest of Cybertron from Megatron’s violence. 

Fast forward millions of years later, and the war is still going on with a stalemate. Orion Pax, as leader of the Autobots, decides to send everyone off-world to various sectors. And while they do that, he’ll stay behind with Ultra Magnus and Elita One on a quest to find a powerful relic. Megatron has become ashamed of his actions and now tries to figure out a way to finish the war fast and with the least amount of lost lives with the help of his closest advisors Soundwave, Onslaught, Mixmaster, Shockwave, and Starscream. But the only plans they come up with have massive consequences. ______________________________________________________________

Just a few notes: There WILL be some repositioning of various characters. Blackout and Grindor (Bayverse edition) are going to become Autobots, for example.

Optimus Prime IS still going to exist, but later down the timeline. He actually doesn't have that big of a role at the BEGINNING of the "story."

Characters like Zeta Prime and Sentinel Prime ALSO exist. But they may become members of the High Senate or Supporters of it.

Shockwave and Starscream are VERY different now, but for a reason.

Some thoughts about a 30k/40k "Roleswap Heresy"

I know there's a "Dornian Heresy" out there and I'm certain I've seen someone's take on this concept where it was Guilliman who went 'Full Horus'. So assuming that it's a straight swap of who went Traitor and who didn't here's how I'd do things:

The Arch-Traitor role: The person who takes Horus's place in this hypothetical scenario.... I'm gonna go with Sanguinius for several reasons.

Khorne still doesn't get him this way.

The aesthetic of the fallen Angel turning on the Emperor.

We still get Horus Vs Sanguinius at the end of the siege of Terra.

Dante as Abaddon's equivalent in 40k.

Blood Angels taking the role of the Black Legion (The Black Angels?) In 40k, the go to Chaos Legion with followers of all four Gods in their ranks actually works surprisingly well....Death Company are Khorne Berserkers, the Blood Angels are a legion that degrades over time and that just feels like something Nurgle wants a piece of, Everything about the Blood Angels aesthetic and the way they're describing in the novels is just Slaanesh levels of pretty and of course they'd have winged librarian Dreadnaughts as a Tzeentch option.

Straight up Role Reversals: Because these feel like they have to be done.

The Iron Warriors and the Imperial fists would switch places....Which in 40k would mean that there's no loyalist Black Templars, at least not as an Imperial Fists successor.... Although I could imagine the role being filled by a Word Bearers successor Chapter.

The Dark Angels and the Alpha Legion....And still nobody knows which one is the loyalist. The potential for stories here would be great, because even here nobody would know where the Alpha Legions' homeworld was or where any of their successors were based; problems with the inquisition ensue.

The Four legions dedicated to the Gods:

Nurgle gets the Iron Hands - But only after Ferrus Manus dies.

Tzeentch gets the Space Wolves... and I can hear the hate coming but hear me out, it's another fun role reversal and their aesthetic lends itself well to a shamanic vibe and a style of play and general vibe that's Tzeentch but not in a thousand sons way...Hell the curse of the Wulfen could be their version of the flesh change.

Slaanesh gets the Ultramarines and this one feels right, of course the Primarch who literally wrote the book on what it is to be a Space Marine fell to the God of Excess.

Khorne gets.....And I'm gonna explain myself beforehand here. I've heard it said that if it wasn't for the Butcher's Nails Angron would have been the kindest Primarch and that he had the ability to take away the pain of others.....So I think it would be thematic to make the Salamanders Khorne's chosen Legion. They're the Burn in Kill, Maim, Burn and Demon Vulcan is a terrifying prospect.

Which leaves the White Scars and the Raven Guard to fill the roles of the Word Bearers and the Night Lords and funnily enough I could see both Legions working as a Night Lords equivalent in their own ways.

"Through the Energon Fires during the Autobot's first wave of attacks on Iacon, I saw a sight I never thought I'd see. Orion Pax and his manipulated body... standing in the middle of it all, just standing there. Staring deep into my spark... It made me wonder, was the Senate really telling the truth?" -Bulkhead.

Some context: When the war started in the Emputara!Orion Pax AU, the majority of the Autobots in the Autobot Resistance are mostly consisting of canon G1 and IDW Decepticons with a few exceptions (Ratchet and Ironhide, for example). But when the war began to kick into higher gear, we begin to see the Senate's Decepticons leaving the army to join the Autobots (Not a WHOLE bunch, just a noticable number). Why?

Because they SAW Orion Pax. They saw the true horror of how a respectable and loved officer of the law became an abomination of science. And they truly see what the Senate is willing to do to keep their power.

The Cybertronian Members of the Lantern Corps (A Concept)

So here’s the idea: The Cybertronian Civil War has finally and truly ended. Megatron has surrendered, and the Decepticons and Autobots have struck up a peace. And thanks to this, many old records from Iacon have been recovered and Cybertron has once again opened up trade and travel with the galaxy, becoming an active participant of the universe… which gets the attention of the various Lantern Corps of DC. So many new Rings find new owners from the various members of Cybertronian Society.

(Side note I’ll be focusing on four Lantern Corps since I know more about them than the others)

There would be one UNIQUE Lantern, who would become the main threat to many and would be the reason there are once again Black Lanterns… Overlord. He would be both a Red and Yellow Lantern, harnessing Rage and Fear for his own gain. So a new battle would have to begin.

Name: Ven Wreg Home Planet: Yerbana Age: 27 Gender: Male Species: Human Rank: Grand Admiral

Ven Wreg always had an admiration for Clone Troopers. When the 212th and 501st legions liberated his planet from battle droids when he was a child, he couldn't help but cheer louder than most of the citizens. So, he began chatting with the clones stationed on his planet. They had so many stories, so many facts. To Ven's young mind, it was all so much cool things to know. So, when he went to school, he began to study other planets and their people. Learning their culture, while also learning about their technology. He graduated his higher education with multiple degrees in Science and Engineering. Ven would later join the Empire, starting off as lowly flight deck assistant. But eventually he'd rise through the ranks to become a second-in-command admiral. But the Admiral he was under was a very cruel man, even by the Empire standards. So, when the Admiral went to speak with the Emperor about a promotion, Ven was worried about having to join him. But the admiral, once there, was killed by Darth Vader. The admiral had made one too many comments on the dark lord that Vader has requested him to be "removed" from the ranks. But Vader noticed Ven Wreg, who just stood there, while shaking but at attention. Darth Vader asked the young admiral what he was doing with the now dead "Trash of an Admiral." Ven explained his position and told Vader about more of the Admiral's actions. Vader asked Ven if he had any desires, any goals about joining the Empire. Ven told Vader about a Cloning Program he wanted to start, he had even written up a request and everything he would need. Vader did a quick look, and something flared up in him. Interest. He took the program before the Emperor, who surprisingly agreed to the project. Ven was brought before Palpatine, Thrawn, Tarkin, and Vader and was promoted to Grand Admiral so he'd have all the resources and assistance he needed for the program. 

Now he runs an entire base and twelve Star Destroyer fleet on the discovered planet of Indigo Prime. There they have retrieved the Jango Fett DNA sample and using science revived the sample. Slowly the Clone Army is being built, but Ven Wreg seems to be growing more and more dissatisfied with the Empire, especially after hearing about the Death Star project.
