However, not everyone is so lucky. A lot of Palestinians that have not had that kind of luck, that did not get early verification, that did not get massive platforms behind them from large bloggers, have approached me in my inbox, asking me kindly to do what I can for them. It kills me that I have so little to give myself, but I've seen this platform collectively raise enough to change someone's life. I've made a list of Palestinian fundraisers that are extremely low on funds, in the hope that drawing attention to people who have not been lucky at all can help turn that luck around. My name is HAMDI AHMED, and I'm a disabled queer Latine, at the beginning of the genocide my family had planned to evacuate from Gaza to Egypt, unfortunately, my dad who was the breadwinner was killed and we resorted to staying in the camps in Rafah. Late last month my mother died due to an airstrike that blasted all the windows out of the house they were in when Israel attacked Deir Al-Balah last week. I had no alternative but to stay with a friend who came to my rescue when I had lost hope. I am planning to evacuate Gaza and travel to Egypt where some members of my family evacuated because the friend I was staying with also lost a job and it has become a burden to take care of me due to my disability. I don’t have any source of income and I have resorted to seeking refuge from well-wishers who can at least donate any little amount to enable me to evacuate Gaza. If you can spare even the smallest amount to help me, it would mean the world to me!!
