Self Care Apppointment Recommendations?

I remember seeing a list of different self care appointments that girl could schedule as like a bi weekly, monthly type of thing and I can't find it anywhere! So I'm hoping I can find some help!

I want to start making myself more of a priority as I feel that it will definitely kickstart some good self love and self care habits that'll help me feel better about myself mentally and physically. I want to put money into myself, my health, and my appearance.

Things I already know about and am looking into:

nail appointments

lash extensions

getting my hair cut/colored/done

workout/pilates classes

But what else? Of course I'm going to budget for these appointments and whatnot but I can't think of anything else?? I'm looking for different self care/beauty upkeep ideas!!

Please leave me some recommendations for different types of things I can purchase/do!! it would be so helpful. My brain doesn't let me think half the time, so that's why I come here so often!

April already? Time is flying, I feel like we barely entered 2025 and now it's April? Feels unreal almost.

I have no work today, so I'm going to spend as much time as I can on stuff that I really need and really want to do! I've done pretty good at getting stuff done lately, especially with school stuff, so I really want to keep that sort of momentum going to try and be more successful as the school semester comes to an end.

Seems like a lot at first glance, but I have all day to do this stuff, so I definitely have the means to get it all done.

washed a load of laundry

dropped off two packages at the post office

finished paying off my rent

I feel like that's a good amount of stuff to have gotten done yesterday, given I really wasn't feeling like doing much. Work had been so tiring lately, I'm almost glad the semester is ending because of the toll that work is taking on me physically now. On the bright side, I should be getting promoted in April, so hopefully, things ease up once that happens.

I want to start studying languages again, and of course I'm stuck between my favorite three: Spanish, Korean, or Japanese. I have lots of Japanese study resources, I live in a high population of Spanish speakers, and I listen to lots of music and media in Korean. Which one(s) do I start with to ease back into it? Pick one? All three? Help a girl out!!

Today was easier than yesterday, but I am still so sleepy and tired. I have to work a full shift tomorrow AND Saturday on top of my weekend chores so I'm hoping to take Sunday as a full self care day! Fingers crossed!!

๐Ÿฉท What I Ate Today:

Breakfast - One slice of toast with mashed avocado, paprika, a fried egg, and a side of watermelon, and one cup of coffee.

Lunch - ground beef burrito bowl with black beans, shredded cheese, chopped iceberg lettuce, sour cream, salsa, and a low carb tortilla.

Dinner - One plate of spaghetti with meat marinara sauce, grated parmesean cheese, and two pieces of buttered bread

Other - One cup of coffee with French vanilla creamer

Water ~ 30oz I just forgot to drink water today, but using my water bottle has gotten easier and helped me drink more during the work day.

I didn't feel like snacking much today, and I couldn't finish my lunch, but I am very satisfied with my intake today! I love eating healthier and listening to my body. I do track what I eat, but I make sure it's food I like! Given my past, I can't do restrictions, so I choose to honor my wants in a way that works towards my goals and nourishes both my mind and body.

This one was really good! It was my first time trying it and it had my arms burning in a good way. I really enjoyed it, and I totally recommend. This is definitely going to be a regular of mine! 10/10

This one has been a favorite for a few years, I absolutely love the way it makes my arms feel. The movements are easy and effective, and leave me sore in a good way. Absolutely my favorite lean arms workout, hands down! 11/10

I forgot to do my mediation and stretching, and I didn't meet my hydration goal, but I'm taking every day in stride and doing what my energy allows me to accomplish. I believe in self compassion and flexibility in routine, especially given how my energy fluctuates on a daily basis. However, I am definitely doing the full habits list tomorrow, I'm going to challenge myself to accomplish every daily goal I have for myself!

This song makes me feel like a badass princess who deserves only the highest level of princess treatment. It's hard to describe how feminine and girly this song makes me feel, even on my most tomboyish, sweaty work days. An absolute bop!!

Tomorrow, I can do this. I can meet my goals, all of them. It'll take some effort, but I have faith in myself. Once I get the ball rolling, it's just a matter of forward motion with accomplishing each of my goals. I can't wait!!

I also need to budget for next Saturday, as I'm going shopping for some new clothes before my university opens back up for the fall semester. If I'm gonna feel my best, I'm going to look my best too! I'm really hoping to get a few new dresses, accessories (like hair stuff, pantyhose, jelwery, purses, etc), shoes, and maybe some tops and skirts too depending on what the store has. I love shopping, so I'm super excited!!!

To Do Today 9/28/24

I was supposed to work a long double shift today at my normal job and then a kinda side job task that involves talking to a ton of people and being out late at night. I've decided I'm going to tell my bosses I can't do it, because the anxiety I've felt about doing it has made me thrown up already ๐Ÿ˜…

so here's the stuff I am going to do today:

It sounds like a lot, but honestly, it should not take me all night to do all these things so I'll be fine, as long as I get then done!

Last night, I was decently productive to the point where I was actually proud of what I was able to accomplish. It was a nice feeling. I'm still grappling with the thoughts of what to do in regards to continuing my education, if I go the community college (Medical Assisting) route or continue with my university (Nutrition and Dietetics), despite the possible financial issues I'll be facing.

What I Accomplished Yesterday (March 28th) โœจ๏ธ

did a hydrating face mask (it was amazing)

washed and put away a load of laundry

paid my rent

wrote out some chapter 8 notes + chapter 8 vocabulary notes for health and exercise psychology

wrote out a solid chunk of my chapter 9 notes for exercise physiology (need to finish chapter 9 and start chapter 10 asap, but that's what I get for being 2 chapters behind)

journaled about some stuff going on in my head (mostly the continuing education stuff that's been plaguing my thoughts)

studied/did schoolwork for a total of 122 minutes

looked at potential classes I could take + other options for switching to the community college here in town

Yesterday was definitely a decent day in terms of stuff I was able to get done, but I also know I slacked off A LOT. More than I am comfortable with having slacked off. I'm slowly getting back into my school grind mindset, especially with the semester coming to an end soon. I really want to get my grades back up where I need them to be and end the semester on a high note, with a good GPA and a sense of pride in knowing I tried.

Wednesday was an interesting day. I went into town in the morning, tried some new spots, walked around and then came back to the hotel. Fell asleep, and then studied lots of Hangul when I woke up. Tried to work out and had a massive panic attack during said workout, and then I felt better after a while but yeah, weird day.

traveled into town for a bit

tried a cafe (bought an Iced dirty chair latte and a butter croissant, soooo good)

walked around a lot and checked out some stores

tried a burger place (best burger I have ever had, I kid you not)

took a nap

studied Korean Hangul for 65 minutes

Completed 17min of a full body pilates workout (from my coaching plan)

watched part of a movie with my co worker/roommate

felt super cute in my outfit when I went out

So I haven't gotten tested because it's the weekend for me, but based on my current symptoms, there's a good chance I have the vid-19. Which is really not fun, but at least I've been dealing with it a bit. I left work early on Friday and am not able to work today thru Monday, which could potentially cost me my job, but fingers crossed.

I am currently looking to apply for a different job on my university campus, and I already know I'll get the job after I apply (my way of manifesting, lol). It'll be nice to do something a little different than my current job, for sure.

I'm going to try to get back to my regularly scheduled posts and routines as soon as I find myself in better health. I feel bad not posting, but I've also been resting a ton to try and heal faster. But yeah, I currently feel like -12/10 in gems of physical health.

Fingers crossed, I'm better by Tuesday! I have my first cooking class on Tuesday evening, so hopefully I am better and can attend because the professor for that class is amazing!

Also, thank you guys for 150+ followers! Just a few weeks ago, when I started taking my blog seriously, I only had 7 followers so having over 150 now is incredible! I appreciate all of you so much <333

My brain did not let me study or do much this weekend and it was seriously bugging me, but I'm trying not to beat myself up about it because it was that time of month and lately it has been messing with me hard whenever it's that time of month. Plus, work was really tiring this weekend and I've been a little stressed out about some things.

worked 9am to 3pm

took a 40 min nap on the couch

chatted with my roommates for a while
