When they’re asriel-aged I’d imagine Chara is actually pretty happy and their way of trying to help out with asriel’s fucked up little sibling is to make edgelord jokes and to tease Kris and practically sees Kris as a younger self. Frisk on the other hand tries to be non-threatening and friendly but it comes off about as awkwardly as a middle-school counselor. kris is put off by both of them(used to being the only human) and dislikes how quickly asriel gets along with them.

At the ages I pin them for Undertale they’d be much younger than Kris(Who I pin around 15) so……around Lancer age(somewhere between 10-12) and I think once Kris adjusts to these two they’d be very amused by Chara’s dry humor and the curiosity Frisk has in abundance. since they’re just kids I don’t think Kris would be very wary of them at all and Would pull so many pranks on them but out of love. 

I can’t imagine a 15 year old Chara being mentally healthy at ALL lol, esp if the dreemurrs weren’t involved in their life-so this Chara fucking hates the shit out of Kris. and Kris, whose implied to have a bad history with humans as well, probably gets it but doesn’t hold a mutually malicious view, just doesn’t know how to approach them. Frisk is Chara’s one support I imagine but is also, like in Undertale, a great bridge friend who would want to reach out to Kris but continually get driven off by a possessive and concerned Chara. if any of that makes sense.
