I’ve already done this once lol but I’d love to talk to other people too!!
reblog if it's okay for your mutuals to message you and create an actual friendship, not just interactions
This whole idea from Conservatives/the right in general that men are “leaders” is completely a farce even in their own groups, and I can speak to this firsthand because I grew up in it. Super Catholic, church services were all in Latin, women weren’t allowed to wear pants or cut their hair shorter than their shoulders, and they were sporting all of America’s current insane political views a decade before they became more popular. And men still did jack all.
I was running the church choir in all but name by the age of 14, despite the choir director being a man in his 20s. Women handled all the childcare and child rearing, women were the ones who organized everything. Who put up the decorations for each season. Who provided the food. Who kept the church clean and in repair. Who taught the children during Sunday School. They were the ones who made decisions for their families, the ones who kept tabs on everything, the ones who organized playdates and homeschool meetups and church potlucks. Women built everything and men only placed their stamp of approval on it to claim the work.
And I wish more people would WAKE UP to this realization. Being a leader means nothing if you aren’t actually working. Simply sitting on your ass and giving the occasional instruction is not true leadership, nor is it even the servant leadership Christ himself advocated for. Those men were completely useless in the grand scheme of things and we would have continued on without them with relative ease. They hold onto relevancy by forcing women to depend on them financially but that’s all they have to stand on. And it just pisses me off idk this is just a rant
Y’all I think that fuckin “spoon bread” person made a new account 😭😭😭 i already blocked them once and they’re back reblogging my posts with complete slop that’s genuinely impossible to read
yes i want to know your favourite color, how you like your coffee made, what music you like or what fictional character you like best. but let me ask you how do you want to be loved, if you think soulmates are real or should i just outwardly admit that i want to love you on purpose, what makes you you, what poem always brings you to tears. i want to know what love is to you so i can do just that and even more, i want to see you, inside and out, and i crave to be seen as well.
Wild how everyone who criticises gender critical feminism just misrepresents it entirely???
They’re like ‘oh TERFs think that gender is a social construct made to oppress women based on their sex and keep them subservient … so naturally they must believe that womanhood is all about giving birth and being feminine’ UGHHHH
I love vampirism as a metaphor for being homosexual and how our sexuality is seen as inherently predatory when it shouldn’t be, I love vampirism as a metaphor for obsessive and destructive love, I love vampirism as a metaphor for mental illness, BUT I also present vampirism as a metaphor for physical chronic illness.
The constant ache and hunger that will never, ever go away. You learn to live with it but sometimes it becomes overwhelming and causes you to lash out because you just can’t stand it anymore. The cycles of telling yourself you’re fine, of being able to make your peace with it, followed by the violent despair of knowing you will never know a life again without this pain and suffering. Slowly forgetting what it was like to feel normal. The ways you cope with and abate the pain are constantly demonized by those around you so you go as long as possible before giving in to what you need to survive, only for the waiting to worsen the effects so you need even more once you give in. Being seen as weak or worthy of ostracism and ridicule for something that was completely out of your control.
As someone who’s had chronic pain (and other symptoms) my whole life, the character archetype of someone being changed into a monster against their will (vampirism, werewolves, etc) has always spoken to me for that reason. Like I get it, sexy alpha werewolf claims you blablabla, but I think modern literature has leaned too much into the sexy aspect of monsters and could use a lot more of the psychological horror aspect. Really having to sit with what this character has become against their will and think about the ethics of their actions, and if they can even be condemned for what they do in response when it’s out of their control. Blame that had nowhere to go. Idk I was musing that over last night as I went over some of my old WIP and it just interests me much more than the sexy monster trope
are you lesbian because you like femineity or because you like pussy and boobs?
Neither. I’m a lesbian because I’m a woman who loves women and womanhood in general. It would be ironic for me to be a lesbian for femininity considering I’m a butch, as well as the history of non-conforming lesbians. I’m currently in a butchfemme dynamic (surprise, those who’ve been watching me pine for a gf for the last months lol) but femininity is an ever changing and arbitrary social construct, therefore irrelevant to me, so it’s not the basis by which I form my sexuality.
I also do find breasts and female genitalia attractive, and also important for the particular types of sex I like to have, so idk if that answers your question there 🤷 but my preferences extends farther than just that, both physically and psychologically. My femme looks like Kate Bush and is a fellow pagan, for instance, two things I find pretty attractive.
Adding onto this, “No Ethical Consumption Under Capitalism” started in the punk community/more radical leftist spaces (to my awareness) as a way to call awareness to the hidden exploitations of capitalism and urge you to look more deeply and be responsible with your actions. Sure that $65 shirt can be greenwashed and said that it was sewn in an ethical factory with well-payed workers and environmentally positive policies, but where did they get the fabric from?
It’s supposed to be a call out against the system, but then it somehow got twisted by shein-guzzlers to excuse their actions. It’s supposed to be, “The system is so fucked that we’re forced to rely on slave labor at every turn whether we like it or not, so let’s call it out and push for change and do what we can.” Not an excuse to joyfully profit off of the underpaid labor of thousands and claim that we’re all on the same level.
Leaving the house to get your Temu parcel from the mailbox and wallowing in porn is not actually fighting fascism so jot that down
And she was so kind about it too! I saw her original announcement on her story and she was so polite and kind in how she explained why she’d chosen to make it a single-sex space. And all she’s gotten is some absolutely nasty responses.
It doesn’t matter how kind we are, how much we obediently, tearfully explain how our bodies have been violated a thousand times over, how much we debase ourselves and “check our privilege!” and educate ourselves and “listen to other people’s experiences!” they will still display a disturbing level of hatred and threatening language. I follow some trans creators because I try to keep an open mind, but I had to unfollow one (TIF) because he made a video saying that he’s going to show up and frighten everyone there with his appearance and behavior because, “I’m biologically female and you said you wanted me here!”
I get it. Being excluded can hurt sometimes. But that doesn’t mean you’re entitled to spaces, or to people’s bodies, to soothe that hurt. No, this is not the same as racial segregation. This is a singular, private space in which women, a group of people who suffer immensely, are wanting to gather to support each other and have s respite from a male dominated world. Give me a fucking break. I’m tired of trans rhetoric co-opting racism as their defense and I’ve been told by a lot of women of color that it’s frustrating to them too, and considering the fact that the lovely owner of this gym is a woman of color I can only imagine how invalidating and frustrating this all is to her.
womyn, please, show some love and support to natalee barrett. she’s a black woman who created a gym for women only and after deciding to exclude trans women (for obvious reasons), she has been unfollowed and insulted by trans activists. in the first link below, @/prowomyn on instagram explain the whole situation. the second one is her instagram profile.

It’s because they have this “perfect victim” mentality towards women of color. They’re just so innocent, kind, and helpless, accepting of everyone because they’re just so desperate for help they will accept minor amounts of abuse instead of major— I mean, they’ve always been accepting of these things!!
Whereas in reality women of color are just as able to form opinions based on logic as anybody else. In my opinion they don’t deserve to be treated like some child that needs saving, by people who liken them to men but in a progressive way this time. They’re allowed to have the focus solely on them, to demand more solely on their own merit and not that of nebulous “black trans women” (half of which were self-admittedly just transvestite, looking at you, people who screech about Marsha P Johnson)
Also women of color are the most effected by the sex trade, but nobody wants to talk about that because then they’d have to stop jacking off to their favorite victim and telling themselves it’s moral because it’s inclusive. So instead they twist our words and ignore us. There’s plenty of radfem women of color and I’d even argue it’s more normalized within every other group except white women, in my experience and research. Especially when you look outside of America (like the so-called transphobic 4B movement from South Korea). People are just willfully short sighted to serve their own choices and preconceived notions of the world.
The idea that radical feminism is just for white women and that all radical feminists talk about is white women is so laughable to me. I hate to break it to these people but equating the idea of a fight for gender equality with white western culture and labelling the misogynistic elements of non western cultures as progressive and based is actually so harmful. I care about all women, I’m not going to turn a blind eye to women of colour being oppressed by their own cultures out of fear of being labelled a racist sorry.
