Hello,,
My name is Ashraf Alanqar, and I am 30 years old. My wife, Widad Issa, and I have a one-and-a-half-year-old son named Bakr. We used to live peacefully in the Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood, in a house we built just a week before the war began. I worked as a farmer and owned a large chicken farm that provided for my family.
Beloved of my heart (Bakr)
Then the war came and destroyed everything. Our home was reduced to ashes, and our chicken farm was obliterated. We lost our home, our livelihood, and even our basic rights. We've been forced to move from place to place in northern Gaza, simply trying to survive.
My House before...
Me.. while trying to recognize what has happened..
The terror we feel as we flee from heavy bombardment is unbearable. The sound of explosions around us, the constant fear as we navigate through the rubble of destroyed homes searching for safety and food, haunts us every day. My son Bakr is constantly scared and suffers from severe malnutrition and skin diseases due to the lack of food, water, and sanitation.
Our beautiful memories.. :(
We urgently need your help. I am asking for your support to fund this campaign to move my family to a safe place, provide us with a proper home, and ensure we have enough food, water, and medical care.
Baker used to play with his dog.
Your donation, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in our lives. We desperately need your support and solidarity during this difficult time. Together, we can restore hope and safety to Ashraf and his family.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for considering my plea. Your support means more than words can express. Together, we can turn a story of loss into a journey of hope and resilience.
With deepest gratitude,
Ashraf & the Family
Mohammed and Haneen were about to finish high school, but the war made that impossible. With schools disrupted and safety compromised, their dreams were temporarily halted. Now, the only hope for them to continue their education is to travel abroad where they can resume their studies. However, the high costs of travel and education put me in a difficult position, as I need money to make this goal a reality. I am working hard and looking for every possible opportunity to secure their future in a safe place away from the war.
Gofundme link for donations 👇 ❤️ ✨️
Soveroud our children of warfolts of war.
In Gaza, where the sound of war overshadows life, children dream of their schools and pencils like children around the world. Despite the blockade and hardships, their right to education remains a hope that never fades. The children of Gaza deserve a future filled with learning, just like any other child in the world.
⏩️I humbly request a donation of 50 Swedish Krona if possible, and if not, any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated. This will help us travel to a safe place where we can continue my son Yazan’s treatment, ensure my children’s education, and provide a better life for our family.
⏩️Note: If you wish to donate, please be aware that the currency used in the fundraising campaign is Swedish Krona. 50 Krona is equivalent to 5 USD, and 100 Krona is equivalent to 10 USD, and so on.
⏩️Friends, my appeals may seem repetitive, and I apologize if my requests have caused any inconvenience. But I am in urgent need of your continued support. Thank you for your kindness.
the drawings above are of @shahednhall ‘s siblings, rafif and tim. the invasion into gaza by israel has harmed and destroyed countless families, and i am grateful to be able to spread awareness about the campaigns that i can. i am thankful to be able to spread awareness about shahd’s legitimate gofundme, which is about a fifth of the way to their goal (9k/50k). please, i implore you, donate whatever you can to shahd’s fundraiser, and if you cannot donate, please spread awareness.
thank you for reading. here is the link to their campaign.
it really hurts me to see so many gazans asking us for help, though that's through no fault of their own. they've been forced to use a social media site that they're probably not familiar with (because tumblr has kind of faded out of popular consciousness), to interact with us in a second language, to distinguish themselves from the scammers who are taking advantage of genocide, and to ask strangers for help. i don't think there are any cultures where it's easy to ask for help like this, but i'm intimately familiar with how humiliating it can be in arab culture. please be kind, gracious and helpful to the gazans in your inbox. this is a desperate time for them, and in addition to the physical danger inflicted by "israel", the prices of basic resources in gaza are extremely high due to scarcity, and those that manage to escape to egypt are financially exploited by landlords there and have an extremely difficult time finding work due to their unofficial status as refugees. these families will continue to need our help and i hope we can all continue to provide it to the best of our ability.
Hello dear .. Please do not ignore our suffering
My name is Salman Helles from the afflicted and massively destroyed Gaza Strip..
My family consists of many children, women and elderly people and we are suffering from horrific tragic conditions .. Our house was bombed in the northern Gaza Strip and we were displaced to the southern Gaza Strip to Deir al-Balah and the family was scattered in tents and shelters in Deir al-Balah .. The conditions are extremely tragic where children suffer from the spread of diseases among them and the elderly and women in my family suffer from miserable conditions ..
There is no water, food or electricity in the Gaza Strip and the treatment is getting worse day after day ..
For more than 330 days we have been oppressed and wronged in the Gaza Strip and we are exposed to violent barbaric bombing ..
We would never ask for help and donations but the miserable conditions in the Gaza Strip forced us to do so ..
I appeal to the owners of human consciences and free people in this world to provide us with help ..
Your help, no matter how small, means a lot to us because it contributes to saving us and alleviating our suffering ..
Please donate to us or share my campaign On your blog and for your friends
I assure you that my campaign is completely legitimate
I hope the pro-israel people literally fucking rot in hell
I found an absolutely massive 70-page list of all the people in Hollywood who've supported Israel (they signed the “Israel Must Defend Itself” pro-genocide IDF letter, showed support only for Israel, spread IDF propaganda, used “Palestinians are terrorists” language, etc) — but it included tons of people I've never heard of and, like, talent agents and lawyers and non-celebrities... so I went through it and got all the recognizable names + made them into a list (below the cut), because it's important to name exactly who's supporting Israel's genocide of Palestinians.
[EDIT: the doc got taken down, so I removed the link. I included every name I recognized on there in this post. Also, if you're on your dashboard, click on the timestamp below my username to view the most recent version of the post.]
Additionally, I searched for all the celebrities who've supported Palestine (not liking one post while sharing nothing, not saying something vague about both sides, but actually using language like "genocide" and "apartheid" while talking about what Israel is doing to Palestine), and that's below the cut too.
I compiled this not to ~cancel~ anyone (cancel culture does not exist for celebrities) or put anyone on a pedestal, but to document who with power and influence gleefully cheered on genocide, and who decided to speak out against it despite the heavily rumored gag order in the entertainment industry. You shouldn't look to celebrities for morals or politics, but whether we like it or not, these people have millions of followers — the pro-Israel list has more than two billion combined followers. What they say and do matters because of that scope. For better or (usually) for worse, celebrities influence public opinion.
If someone praises Israel's "right to defend itself" (by committing genocide against Palestinians), and they do so in front of 300 million people: that goes far beyond just being complicit.

This includes people who've spoken out this week, as well as people who've spoken out in the past.
NOTE: Anyone who used to be pro-Palestine but are now spewing "well both sides are equally bad!!!! i don't understand anything about this very complex situation!!!" bullshit (like Hozier and Will Poulter) will be removed and added to the pro-Israel list.

Gaza is being bombed to rubble as we post…" + much more about Israel's genocide of Palestinians and current attacks on Gaza

John Cusack — attended a pro-Palestine protest + said "We must free Palestine from a brutal occupation - people concerned for their loved ones, in a hell zone, stuck without food, water and power. Deep anguish over people being told to leave and bombed as they left. I heard people share personal accounts of family members who have been jailed, humiliated, harassed, persecuted, targeted and killed for generations."

Him risking his support being made known to the general public (especially since BTS fans are known for noticing stuff like this and blowing it up on social media) has much higher risks than the average Western celebrity.

Izzy Roland (Dropout/Collegehumor) — shared "We cannot and will not say today's actions by Palestinian militants are unprovoked. Every day under Israel's system of apartheid is a provocation. The strangling siege of Gaza is a provocation. Settlers terrorizing entire Palestinian villages, soldiers raiding and demolishing Palestinian homes, murdering Palestinians in the streets, Israeli ministers calling for genocide and expulsion." + more about Israel's attacks on Gaza
Arundhati Roy (author of The God of Small Things) — has been writing essays and articles in support of Palestine for decades now
Susan Sarandon — said “Being against the occupation of Palestine does not make one anti-Semitic.” + shared multiple posts about Israel's war crimes, including Israel's use of white phosphorus in Gaza
Emma Seligman (director of Shiva Baby and Bottoms) — outspoken about her support for Palestine + attended multiple protests + is sharing a lot of resources and info about supporting Palestine (also: she said her name was accidentally included on the Zionist "no ceasefire" letter to Biden because she thought it was the other letter (the one asking for a ceasefire and humanitarian aid) and she fought to get her name removed from the bad letter)
Rekha Shankar (Dropout/Collegehumor) — shared resources for contacting US government officials about calling for a ceasefire and humanitarian aid in Gaza, and more
Sza — shared infographics about the occupation and Free Palestine, including ones that explained the entire history of Israel's invasion of Palestine since 1948 + spoke out about the violence in Sheikh Jarrah in 2021 + more Israel's attacks on Gaza

The letter said: "Half of Gaza's two million residents are children, and more than two thirds are refugees and their descendants being forced to flee their homes. […] As of this writing more than 6,000 bombs have been dropped on Gaza in the last 12 days — resulting in one child being killed every 15 minutes. Children and families in Gaza have practically run out of food, water, electricity, medicine and safe access to hospitals, following days of air strikes and cuts to all supply routes. […] The humanitarian situation has reached lethal lows, and yet all reports point to further attacks. Compassion — and international law — must prevail."

Their joint statement said: "Gaza is already a society of refugees and the children of refugees. Now, in their hundreds of thousands, bombarded from air, sea and land, Palestinians whose grandparents were forced out of their homes at the barrel of a gun are again being told to flee – or face collective punishment on an unimaginable scale. Dispossessed of rights, described by Israel’s minister of defense as “human animals”, they have become people to whom almost anything can be done. This letter said: "We call for an immediate and unconditional cessation of Israeli violence against Palestinians. We call for an end to the support provided by global powers to Israel and its military; especially the United States, which now provides Israel $3.8 billion annually without condition. We ask all people of conscience to exercise their agency to help dismantle the apartheid regime of our time. We ask governments that are enabling this crime against humanity to apply sanctions, to mobilize levers of international accountability, and to cut trade, economic and cultural relations. We call on activists, and especially our peers in the arts, to exercise their agency within their institutions and localities to support the Palestinian struggle for decolonization to the best of their ability. Israeli apartheid is sustained by international complicity, it is our collective responsibility to redress this harm." and more

combat propaganda online, in person, or even by just having a conversation with one person — do not underestimate the power of word of mouth. tell everyone you know how you feel about Palestine; don't just read about it and despair while doing nothing. being on the right side of history has never been popular or easy.
Haymarket Books is currently giving away the ebook for "Palestine: A Socialist Introduction" for free
support Palestinian art, cuisine, businesses, and culture — Shop Palestine, Al’Ard Palestinian products, Palestinian recipes from Mariam, a Palestinian home cook in diaspora, etc
donate to Lebanese and Syrian funds or Palestinians in diaspora if you really feel like giving money, but know that nothing will reach the people in Palestine until the blockade ends — and we can end it if enough of us pressure international politicians, particularly in the US, France, the UK, Canada, etc
US residents: Tell Congress to Stop the Gaza Genocide
UK residents: Tell the UK government to Protect Palestinians and Healthcare Workers
The consistent dehumanization language used in describing Palestinians in western media is unfathomable. The consistent denial of seeing our children as children. For everybody seeing this, don't fall into this, seek out the truth and educate yourself because that's the best and only way we can help people in Palestine. We have to amplify their voices.
This is a message from my little sister Soso to the whole world💔
