Blake x reader where it’s literally just them cuddling and he gets self-conscious since he lost his two limbs and reader says they still love him and kiss all over his face to make him feel loved. My boi needs love sobssss

"Are..you sure you're okay with this?"

"Of course, Blake. Why wouldn't I be?"

"..well, it’s just...never mind." As Blake sighed, he rested his head on your chest, hopelessly attempting to wrap his arm around you. But then he quickly remembered it wasn't there anymore; in its place was a stump that ended just after his shoulder.

Meanwhile, you had both of your arms wrapped completely around him, and while it made him feel secure...he felt guilty that he couldn’t hug you the same way. Not like he used to. You didn’t mind it, but he was still upset over it.

Of course, the frequent phantom pains didn’t help matters either. He'd get them in both of his missing limbs from time to time, which usually ended in panic.

Today they were particularly bad, so you were both cuddling together, with them eventually going away. He ditched his prosthetics so you weren’t feeling cold plastic or metal against your skin.

Despite you reassuring him it was fine, he decided to leave them off, valuing your comfort over his own.

Though staring at his stumped arm made him feel rather insecure...and had him thinking...

Even so, he wishes he listened to all of the signs to turn back.

He still didn’t understand why you’d stay with him, even after proving to you that he was an idiot who nearly got himself frozen to death.

You never berated him for going up to Mt. Silver without telling you..or said he “deserved” any of this (despite what his constant nightmares claimed).

But no.

He didn’t and this is what happened to him.

If only he told himself “becoming champion is enough”, then he wouldn’t have ended up like this. He wouldn’t feel like a huge burden on you; he wouldn’t feel like the most abnormal person in all of Johto.

In public, he’d notice the younger trainers and little kids who once admired him now staring and whispering things as he walked by.

None of them would talk to him like they used to...and he wondered if it’s because of what he looked like now. Surely it had to be strange to see someone missing a leg and arm--especially the champion himself.

You, on the other hand, haven’t stopped loving him one bit. You never treated him any differently. In fact, you recently scolded a few snobby brats who joked about him being a “normal/steel-type” because of his prosthetics, crushing their puny Pokémon in battle when the taunts have gone too far and insulted your relationship with him.

Not even Silver was as mean as they were.

Even though he pretended to be fine afterwards, their words still hurt like hell, and Blake hasn't stopped thinking about them since.

You shouldn't have to fight people because of him.

Tears started to well up in his eyes as he began to overthink everything, and he silently cursed himself for letting this happen. For letting his mind get off track.

Maybe they were right. You deserved better than him.

You deserved someone "normal".

This was supposed to be helping him calm down.

Yet, once again, he ruined things for himself and you.

The whimper that escaped his lips didn't go unnoticed by you, making you stop petting his hair and frowning. "Blake? What’s wrong, honey?” You softly spoke, worried that he was feeling those pains again.

"Wh-Why...why bother trying anymore?"

"Trying..what?"

"...to l-love me even though I did this to myself.." Despite his attempts to stifle his sobs, they came out anyways, tears slipping down his cheeks as he finally broke down. "Y-You could have anyone you want..why stay with this...th-this limbless freak?”

To hear him say that shattered your heart.

"Blake, you are not a freak." You hugged him closely, rubbing the back of his head as he cried quietly into your shirt. His good hand clutched desperately at it. “I don’t wanna hear you say that again. You think I’d love you any less because of what happened? Because of what a few stupid kids said?”

“..I-I..I don’t know. I just..I feel bad..because I’m not the Champion y-you fell in love with anymore-”

“That’s not who I fell in love with. I love the kind, funny, and selfless Blake Gold who cares for his Pokémon and never gives up on his dreams.” You corrected him, gently resting a hand on his stumped arm. “If you think this changes any of that, you’re wrong.”

He quieted down a little, sniffling as he looked to see where your hand was, and then his gaze went back to you, astonished. "Do you...mean that?”

Nodding, you smiled and rubbed his arm in comfort. “I mean every word. Let me prove it.” You then moved your hand underneath his chin, drawing him closer so you could kiss every square inch of his face.

He immediately blushed at your actions, but happy tears soon replaced his sad ones, knowing you truly did wanna stick by him. And that your love was still strong--perhaps even stronger than before now.

Part of him felt ashamed for ever doubting you and crying over the possibility you only dated him because of his fame, fearing you’d abandon him when he fell apart.

But no. You were here to stay for the long run.

You pulled away to look at each other for a few moments, and you could see Blake’s own smile returning. “I see you’re convinced now.”

“Yeah..I..I’m sorry..”

“For what?”

“For just..being an idiot, as usual.” He lightly joked. “I shouldn’t let this crap get to my head. I know you’ll always love me, I...I just...I guess I just needed to hear you say that.” Then he closed his eyes and snuggled back against you, burying his face into your chest.

“Of course,” you chuckled softly, petting his hair once more. “I’d do anything for my lovable idiot boyfriend.”

He just huffed, but said nothing more as his good arm squeezed you tightly.

Arceus only knows how badly he needed to hear your words.

Thinking about having a gang of pixies. Like they help around the house like fixing stuff, cleaning, cooking or anything that needs to be done. Generally they're about the size of your arm but they're still relevantly small. They are also a clingy bunch whining and crying when you have to leave. Sometimes you’ll take them with you but you have to remind them to behave and not make any noise. Also sometimes you’ll catch them making gifts for you to appreciate the love and care that you give them.

You love it and they love giving you the stuff that they make. You just all love each other and wouldn’t change it for the world.
