*take these with a grain of salt, I’m not like, a scientist I just think space is rad and enjoy researching it.

- the earth is actually an oblate spheroid, which basically means it’s a sphere but ever so slightly squished at the middle, so the equator is a little bigger than the poles.

- the moon is drifting away from earth at a rate of 1-2 inches a year, but it’s tidal pole slows the earth down by two milliseconds per century, so there’ll it’ll take earth like, a month to make a full rotation.

- The universe isn’t spinning. Probably.

 - 10 billion years ago there were these things called quasars (quasi-steller objects) that were like superrrr massive black holes (several billion times the mass of the sun!!) that were surrounded by these gaseous accretion disks that would fall into the black hole and cause energy to get spat out in the form of electro-magnetic radiation. The amount of energy that got spat out of these things was insane you guys, like, look it up, seriously, you won’t regret it.

Autistic shutdown is like an internalized meltdown. While the person is experiencing a lot of emotions, they can’t express them outwardly.

It may look like this:

Zoning out

Exhaustion/falling asleep

Hiding/defensive position

How can allistic (non-autistic) folks help?

Safety first! Help them to a quiet space w minimal simuli

Be sensory sensible! Have a kit tailored to their need (eg ear defenders, stuffie or squishy and blanket)

Eliminate all expectations/demands. They are currently overloaded.

Reduce interaction, giving them time and space (shh..)

Remember:

Autistic shut-down is NOT stubborness, laziness or disrespect

Autistic shut-down IS involuntary, painful, exhausting Please be patient and compassionate.

Nebula are giant clouds of hydrogen, helium and other elements!!!! they can also be star nurseries where baby stars are born!! They often looks like people, animals or eyes!!!!!!
