Yes, Palette does see Core as his main guardian. (I think in one of the original works from Core Frisk's creator, they get referred to as "Granpa" for grandparent, so that’s how Palette would call them.)

Also, Palette is not only raised by Core—it’s more of a process involving a few of the inhabitants of the Omega Timeline working together and keeping an eye on him. (For example, a certain Aftertale Sans sometimes offers to let him stay with him and his children.)

Palette thinks very highly of his Granpa. He admires them and wants to become just like them: saving others and creating new places.

So, back around 2022-2023, I had to explain to a BUNCH of friends what exactly is/was the Undertale/UTMV fandom. It was hard to explain AUs of AUs… of multiverses… to people which weren’t there to personally experience the transition?

A lot of these stories and ideas just stems from people getting inspired off of other people, and kind of building up from there. However, if you weren’t really there for the natural progression of that… the fandom will kind of seem like… a lot (even though it kind of is ^^ the rabbit hole runs deep…).

So, I tried my hand at semi-making a “comprehensive” guide to how I see the layers of the fandom ^^” (in a silly, not-so-serious way).

The deeper you go into this fandom, the harder it sometimes gets to even leave 💀

do you think cross, after spending his life in a monochrome au, cried when he saw a sunset for the first time? when he saw the autumn leaves? the starry sky of outertale? the ocean? after living in xgaster’s sad beige mom au for thirty years of his life, imagine what vibrant, real color must’ve been like to see the first time. would he shy away from it, or would he seek out color at any and every opportunity, to make up for lost time? or would he ignore it, pretending it didn’t matter, because he didn’t want to think about how much he missed out on.
