remembering how reyna was shocked at the amount of pain she felt when she was giving nico her strength for a brief moment because it was even greater than the pain she felt from her entire legion fighting against polybotes and drained her even more than sustaining scipio across the atlantic. he’s just 14. he should be graduating middle school/starting highschool, not keeping the pain and anguish of more than a legion of romans in battle inside of him AND having misery herself say he’s perfect.

being a lesbian is about loving women–even if those womens bodies have penises, or flat chests, or deep voices, or adams apples, or facial hair.

claiming that being a lesbian is about hating penises, or liking vaginas, or breasts, or anything other than loving women regardless of what their bodies are like, is disrespectful not just to trans lesbians everywhere, but to all lesbians whose bodies dont fit what society tells us women have to be, regardless of whats in their pants.

women are more than their vaginas. women are more than their bodies. women are a wonderful and diverse group of people with bodies that are as diverse as any other group. you cant ignore that, no matter what shitty ideas about womens bodies you subscribe to.

Sumary: Reyna took Jason to a gay bar, and he meets Leo

Jason was standing in the entrance of a bar, Reyna, his best friend, was sitting in the sidewalk, checking her phone.

“Stop with that.” she said, punching the leg of Jason.

“I’m not doing anything.”

“You’re thinking loudly.” Reyna stand up, patting the arm of Jason “Your parents won’t come, they think we are in Hylla’s place”

Jason knew that, Reyna and Thalia’s plan was almost perfect, but going to that kind of bar, a gay bar, was a declaration, like making official to the world that he was gay, his parents knew, his closest friends knew, he even had a boyfriend, but he never had the guts to speak up about his sexuality, he never was capable to hold the hands of his ex, or kiss him in the light, or saying he loved him, when he did it, deeply.

Sighing, he hold Reyna’s hand, in a tight grip, biting his bottom lip, looking the street, ignoring the glances of others boys around him.

“Today is Latin Night, with Latin music.”

“Latin Americans have a lot of music, they could put salsa, boleros, cumbia…”

“You know what kind of music the will put” the terrified look of Jason made Reyna jiggle “Reggaeton, champeta, guaracha, maybe trap.”

“That means dancing really close, a lot of twerk, sexy moves,” Thalia appeared, hugging Jason, bumping fists with Reyna “And is your punishment, Jay, because you put us down a lot of times”

Pulling his brother, Thalia shared a look with the guard, whom didn’t ask for ID’s, going to the counter, were a girl was mixing beverages, passing to Thalia and Reyna two glasses, like she knew their favorite liquor, giving Jason a look full of mockery.

“What will be the order for the himbo, sparkling water, soda, zero alcohol beer?”

“Phoebe,” said Thalia, her voice sharp “This is my baby brother, I raised him, therefore, he is not a himbo.”

“The baby want milk? I have zero lactose.”

“The baby want a moonlight” interrupt Reyna, rolling her eyes in front of the bartender attitude.

Jason space out while the girls talked, seeing the teenagers dancing in the center of the place, too tight, a pair of girls kissing near the bathrooms, boys nearly making out in the middle of the place, all of them acting freely, shaking their hips, kissing without worries.

He sat near the counter, drinking while Phoebe keep refilling his glass, getting a little bit dizzy, while the night keep going, Reyna and Thalia where somewhere in the place, maybe making out with each other or with someone else.

“Phoebe, my girl, mi chica, who’s the night.”

A boy sat at his side, winking at Phoebe direction, catching all the attention of Jason, taking his breathe, making him blinking fast.

“Shut up, Leo” Phoebe hissed, tuting her tongue af Jason faces “Uh oh, baby Jason is drooling over a boy”

The hot boy, Leo, look at Jason, giving him a smirk that makes Jason miss a few heartbeats, his eyes going through the boys curls, the sharp face, the brown skin, the dark eyes, all making the boy really eye catching.

“I’m Leo”

“You are hot”

The laugh of the boy was glorious, sweet, bubbling, funny.

“I know, but i don’t know your name”

“Jason, Jason Grace, I’m eighteen”

The laugh of Phoebe popped the bubble.

“Leo’s seventeen, sorry baby, you can’t get laid”

Jason tilted his head, blinking, without getting the joke.

“We can enjoy ourselves” answered Leo “we don’t need to get too sexy”

“You are sexy” the words came out dizzy.

“And you’re drunk, do you think you can dance and use your tongue for something else?”

Jason nodded, letting Leo take him to the dance floor, gasping when the boy hugged him, moving his hips, putting his lips near the ear of Jason.

“You don’t have to be a charming knight, you can touch”

Remembering how some friends of Hylla taught him how to dance that kind of music, Jason started to dance, moving with Leo, enjoying the bubbling laugh of the shortest boy, holding his waist, moving along the back of the boy, getting, slowly, closer, the lips of Leo kissing along his neck, under the adam’s apple, his warm hands playing with the hair of Jason.

“I want to see you again” Jason muttered.

“Sorry, Chico Sexy, but I’m not from the zone”

“Me neither”

Leo pulled him near a wall, trapping himself between Jason and the wall, smiling devillish, standing on his tiptoes, kissing the corner of Jason lips, playfully.

“Where are you from?”

“Near San Francisco” Jason muttered, moving his head, trying to caught Leo’s lips “But I’m moving to New York next week”

Leo freeze, letting Jason start a kiss, moving his lips fast, holding the face of Leo, using his tongue to lick Leo’s bottom lip, bitting a little bit.

“I’m going to NYU”

Leo laugh, pushing Jason, pressing his hands on the blonds chest.

“Are you serious?”

“Yep” the word popping out of his mind, his lips leaving a trace along Leo’s sharp jaw, feeling the warm, and a little bit sweaty, skin. 

“The universe gotta be fucking kidding me” Leo sighed “If you kiss me well we could have future meetings”

Jason bent over Leo, kissing the boy, an arm holding his waist, one hand on his jaw, lifting his head, open his mouth to receive Leo’s mouth, moaning quietly, while Leo moved his leg sending stars to Jason head, the others boy mouth tasting like smoke, his hands leaving a hot feeling.

It was friday, Jason was walking in the campus, seeing the skyscrapers, thinking about the cloudless California sky, missing Reyna, the girl taking a few months before going into college, staying in San Juan, learning about her family, Thalia was still in California, Jason was alone in the Big Apple.

Too focus on his things, didn’t notice the boy walking in his direction, bumping with each other, both falling on the ground.

“Imbécil” muttered the boy, shaking his curly hair.

“You’re Leo” said Jason, remembering the boy he kissed back in that bar “the hot guy of the bar in LA”

“Chico Sexy” The tone was surprised, notting like the suggestive voice he used in the bar “I think the universe said you kissed me good enough”

plot feeling a little empty in the middle? here’s some food for thought.

actions have consequences. things that your characters do inevitably can affect other people around them. what might they have done in the past that could come back and serve as an obstacle? or, maybe, what could they do now that could possibly raise the stakes just a little bit more?

subplots! be mindful of the subplots you’re adding - but sometimes it might be a good idea to include one if your plot is feeling a little bit empty. not only can it tie back into the overarching struggle, but it could also serve as a way to explore one of your characters or points further.

character exploration. get to know your characters a little bit better! let your readers find out something new. connecting and understanding the people within your story is important if you want your readers to grow attached to them.

world exploration. similar to the previous point, with the addition of creating a greater sense of familiarity of the circumstances that your story is taking place in. remember that nobody else knows the world of your wip as well as you do - illustrate it even further so everyone else can grasp it even better.

let your characters bond! maybe there’s a lull in the plot. if your characters have the chance to take a breather and get to know the people around them, let them! it might help flesh out or even realistically advance their relationships with each other.
