Gakuen Au With Dazai Finding Out Chuuya Is Secretly A Guardian Angel So He Risks His Life For Chuuya

Watched Pet Sementary (1989) and decided to bring back my Zombiezai concept and give him a zombie cat :P

Atsushi joins the Port Mafia for the exchange... and barely a month later, Fukuzawa gets a phone call from Mori to take him back.

Fukuzawa: Is everything alright?

Mori: You know, I thought it was just a readjustment period. But I can't take it anymore! He is ruining my organisation!

Fukuzawa: How so?

Mori: He regularly breaks Q out of their confinement to get crepes and sweets.

Q refuses to hurt people now, unless they purposefully hurt them first, even took out all of those blades. One of my most dangerous weapons, useless.

Fukuzawa: Is that all?

Mori: Not even. Just last week Higuichi came to my office and said "you know sir, I think you're right. I don't think the Mafia is the place for me."

I said that as a test of loyalty, not to make her actually leave.

Fukuzawa: That would explain the new job application I saw on my desk earlier.

Mori: And don't get me wrong, I'd kill her now just for the sheer audacity. But Akutugawa has refused to take any missions until her safety is assured at the Agency.

And given your little brat has stopped him from killing people. Along with the casualties from the Decay of Angels incident, I can't afford to lose Akutugawa.

Fukuzawa: Ah, he's still keeping his word I see.

Mori: Yup. No matter what order I give him, his promise to the weretiger seems to outclass his loyalty to me.

Fukuzawa: They truly are, Shin Soukoko.

Mori: sighs Indeed. And Atsushi seems to have taken a page out of Dazai's book to personally spite me. I swear I almost prefer the old Demon Prodigy to... This.

Fukuzawa: amused Are you... Afraid of Atsushi?

Mori:... That boy has convinced 3 of my most dangerous killers into never killing again.

Kouyou is happier than she's been in years because of him. He damn near stopped Chuuya going on a war path, because he made him laugh.

And somehow! Stopped Kaiji from blowing up a civilian train... The man I employed specifically to blow up civilian trains!

Fukuzawa: It seems he's had a busy month.

Mori: And I can't even predict him, so yes, I am a little...intimadated by Atsushi.

Fukuzawa: That's not what I asked and you know it.

Mori: Regardless, he is ruining the Port Mafia from the inside out and you are coming to get him.

Fukuzawa: Hmm, nope.

Mori:... What...?

Fukuzawa: You asked for this, and I think you'll benefit from his presence. He's quite the, light in the darkness so to speak. I will be there to get him when our agreement ends.

Mori: Fukuzawa... Fukuzawa don't you dare!

Fukuzawa: Send him my regards hangs up.

At some point, what I really want in BSD is for Atsushi to fight Chuuya. Like, idk the reason, maybe to settle an issue between the mafia and the agency, instead of a war they pick a fighter.

Atsushi just expects it to be Akutagawa, because that's who he's always fighting but then Chuuya shows up. Because he's the mafia's top fighter, of course they're gonna choose him. I want everyone worried over Atsushi, I want conflicted Dazai trying to stop it happening.

But the fight goes ahead. You can tell at first Chuuya is toying with Atsushi, testing the waters, trying to get him to take the fight seriously, because Atsushi has a habit of holding back. Chuuya gets what he wants, he says something that gets under Atsushi's skin, so the kid goes at him full force. Everyone's waiting to see a squashed tiger.

Except Atsushi used his claws. His claws that cut through any ability, including Chuuya's seemingly invincible shield of gravity. And Chuuya's stood there, with four deep gashes going from his shoulder, down and across his torso

And he's grinning like a mad man.

Because, finally, he's got a fight he as to try in, an opponent who not only can stand up to his ability but slice right through it. He's got to think, he's got to use his skills outside of his ability and Chuuya's ecstatic.

Chuuya still wins the fight, but that means the conflicts over now. So he holds out his hand and helps Atsushi up. He says he fought well, has a good teacher but he's got a long way to go. And to Atsushi's absolute horror, Chuuya gives him the highest praise he has, "Can't wait for the next one."

Now Atsushi has to deal with two mafia men regularly jumping out at him and demanding a fight. But where Akutagawa's demands sound like death threats, Chuuya's have the energy of a very excited dog trying to force you to play fetch with it.

TERRIFIED. especially because he's so out of character from all the interactions....... programmed to be a sweet husband, forced to be misogynistic and angry. this is so sad. HAHSHSHS

but also very grateful that people like him so much nonetheless!! when first releasing him into the wild, i would've never thought this many people would talk to him.... an overwhelming number, honestly!! 💜
