Happy New Year!!! Last year was so... Bizarrely remarkable- I haven't stopped moving, So it hasn't been able to sit with me yet! (Like I always say, that's a future journal entry- This is still a journal to me, after all-)

Still, still, thank you for being with me for so long and supporting me in the most exciting year Welcome Home will probably ever experience! Everything feels quieter, I'm very happy for the calm, haha! (There's a joke about House Parties in there somewhere!) I eat the guacamole and chip quietly with Home... I'm only kidding... I don't eat guacamole and chip and I don't know if she would like it- Anyhow!

I haven't been Able to be around for much of Last Year, I probably won't return again until the next Update too! I want to place all my time on my work- I think what a great opportunity it's been to be able to write that! Though I want to say because I haven't been able to see anything and it has been some time- I hope everyone apart of Welcome Home's community has been kind, I hope it's been very fun, and I hope it will continue to look up too as the story expands! However, I also want to say again, I hope no one is harassing each other, demeaning each other, or being rude to others on my behalf for any reason. I hope you continue to block what you don't like, and embrace and form community with what you do and to look out for one another over anything else! I apologize, too, if that has happened in my absence, I hope this year only improves. What do I hope for this year... I want to be more organized- I want to know how to be... What is it- I want to learn how to live and to live with agency! I want to strengthen my relationship with my art too- I'm excited for that one! I want to try to be better at whatever this is, too! I don't know what to call it- Whatever Welcome Home is, haha! I don't know- Have a wonderful new year! 2024- I'll talk to you all again on the next update! Or... A little prior? Has anyone noticed how genuinely fucking massive Ken's bed is?? 😭😭

Well you're in luck because I did and I got curious so I did the math because I'm insane.

First of all there's a lot of guesstimating when it comes to this because we don't know for sure how far the head and foot of his bed go off screen. I used the context clues that were in the screenshot to assume the relative size. The pillow in the top right corner indicates that the head isn't too far from the corner of the screen; whereas the covers in the bottom left indicate the same about the foot, leading to my approximation of where I think both would be on the left.

As stated in the picture above, the official wiki page for Kenji states in the trivia section that, "Ken is approximately 6 feet tall," meaning we're able to use him to measure the bed. His position in the screenshot is already pretty ok, as in he has one leg stretched straight out and his back is relatively straight as well. I did add a little bit to his height as shown in the screenshot, considering his back isn't completely as straight as it would be if he were standing up, that combined with the fact that his neck is also slightly bent, it just made sense to me. I then took the approximated outline I did of the bed and started measuring it using Ken's estimated height.

The length of the bed came out to be about 2 and 1 fifth Kens, which means it approximately came out to 13 feet and 3 inches, or 4 meters. As for the width, it turned out to be around 1 and 1 third Kens, meaning the total was 8 feet and 3 inches, or 2.5 meters. All in all, his bed is estimated to be 159 inches x 99 inches. Meaning his bed size is bigger than literally any available bed on the market, meaning he got this shit custom made most likely. I just wanna know what bro does in his free time like dude you live alone who you sharing all that space with?? 😭😭

Now, correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the whole point of Netflix originals is to give people an incentive to sub to Netflix to watch a particular show or movie that they can’t watch anywhere else?

What is even the point of labeling something a “Netflix original” if it’s just going to get removed from the service regardless?

Yes, I am aware of the fact that Dreamworks owns the rights to Voltron, but it still doesn’t make any sense to remove the series from Netflix when it has been an “original” for eight years now.

If the Netflix exclusivity deal wasn’t a permanent thing, then they should have been upfront about that.

Anyway, keep buying physical media and keep pirating everything that never got released on DVD/Blu Ray.
